I had my first fish taco experience here, based on a friend's recommendation. I'm glad I tried! The tacos are massive, and amazingly fresh (and cheap! at $4 each). On the weekend, you order inside, and during the week, there's a truck outside. Food is pretty much only to go.Pics posted.

Slow service. Most of the front cashiers are super rude. The only reason people go is because it's their local market but not much for the service and "kindness" of the cashiers.

So this place threw me off a little. Despite "Market" being in its name, I still expected some sort of restaurant or fast food type look (like Boston Market). Well, this is actually a market that sells all the stuff you'd find at a 7-11, plus it has a meat department like at Safeway and even some vegetables. From the outside it looks like a normal neighborhood market. But you'll see they have a big menu right when you walk into the door. I saw a bunch of reveiwers talk about the fish tacos. So of course that was my choice. It was plentiful. It had so much fish in it that I had to eat some of it with a fork before I was able to pick up the taco.Definitely coming back to this place for a cheap eat. $4 for lunch!

It's not a bad place but one thing is that the "taqueria" is a lie. Although they do have self serve tamales and a coffee/hot cocoa machine. Nice people and a wide variety of things for a small store like this one.

Finally open! No place to sit, not a smidge of atmosphere and they can't beat me away with a stick. Thanks to Adam Torres, Sancho's brilliant Mexican food is now available for takeout in Whiskey Gulch. There's no line out the door - yet. The absolutely awesome food is the same quality and wonderful flavor as the Sancho's mother-ship up in Emerald Hills.

This little market carries quality meat! My friends and I enjoyed the Carne Arrachera (flap cut meat) so much!! It was so soft and tender. If you ask for it to be "prepared" they marinate it in natural orange juice, onions, and spices it is excellent. I definitely recommend this market and the meats!

Was a bit disappointed to see that there was no longer the fish taco operation here. However, it is still a solid, full fledged Mexican market and I scored a half pound of chicharrones and some carne seca. I thought I was going to have to bust out my really bad Spanish but everyone spoke perfect English! Now if they would just get the tacos back...

I'm a lover of fish tacos. 1. because they taste yummy when well executed and 2. i feel virtuous because it's "fish"...who cares that they're fried! This place is in a sketch location behind the Four Seasons hotel and nevermind how we happened upon it, but its one of the BEST finds in the area. Fish tacos are the best I've had and if you like tons of meat in your burritos, they're good too. Personally, I'm more of a well balanced burrito person so I stick with the fish tacos. It's in a little market so you can pick up anything from a brewsky to accompany the tacos to fresh limes for the corona while you're waiting for your food.

On a co-workers recommendation, I went to La Tiendita today for lunch. It's a little market kind of tucked away behind a Laundromat, and it certainly didn't appear to be somewhere that one might expect to find good food. Inside the market you'll find a small assortment of mexican groceries, and a pretty nice selection of fresh meats and seafood. There is also a small taqueria with a nice selection of tacos, burritos, and other mexican fare. I ordered two grilled fish tacos, and I have to say they are probably the best fish tacos I have ever had. If you live or work in the area, I would recommend coming in at least once to try the place out. I haven't tried any of the other selections from the taqueria yet, which is why I can't give it a full 5 stars, but I expect I will be back there for lunch very soon.
