Closest parking is by Bloomingdale's. Nestled in Eataly on the 3rd floor. It wasn't packed on a weekday afternoon but service was a little on the slower side. Our waiter was nice and happily explained any questions we had and suggested a few of his favorites. They offered kids a coloring kids menu. The kids had the option of picking the shape of their pizza (circle, bunny or heart) as well as their toppings or pasta with their choice of sauce (butter, olive oil or tomato) along with a soft drink. The kids pizza and pasta was a decent size. Super cute idea. For myself I ordered the fettuccine al burro di tartufo e parmigiano. The presentation of it coming out and being mixed in the parmigiano dop wheel was entertaining. It was savory, creamy and delicious. My little one enjoyed it too!Overall, the food was great but I would stay it was pricey for pasta and pizza.

The food was fantastic as always! We ordered the drinks - Zabriskie Point and Gin and Tonic (my girlfriend loved the gin and tonic), two appetizers - calamari and the deep fried risotto balls, insalata di Cavolo, two pizzas - the pesto burrata (recommend sausage with this!) and salimiere (fantastic meat pizza), the raviolis, and pretty much the entire dessert menu (tiramisu was the bomb dot com, the Panna Cora is always a favorite, and the budino is rich and flavor packed!). Our server, Myceau, was fantastic and he really made for a great overall experience for all of us. He explained the menu and even went over the recommended drinks - spot on recommendations for the pizzas. The ambiance was lively as always and everyone was happy to be there, regardless of whether working or eating there. 10/10 recommend this place to anyone and we've had no better in the Bay Area at this time. We were so hungry that I only managed to snag a few shots! Tiramisu and calamari, and insalata di cavolo pictured. Until next time!Cheers,Stephen

If you're looking for a true Italian dining experience, this is the place to be! Having been to Italy a couple of times, I can confidently say this is the closest you can get without hopping on a plane. The staff here is incredibly friendly, and I want to give a special shoutout to our waiter, Hector. He was super welcoming, patiently walked us through the menu, and gave detailed explanations of all our options. His recommendations were spot on -- thank you for that!As for the food -- absolutely delicious! The pizza has that authentic, slightly charred flavor that you get from a wood-fired oven (which I'm pretty sure they use). It's the kind of place you visit once and immediately start planning your next trip back. We've already been here a couple of times and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!

My friends and I came here on a Saturday night to get on the waitlist for La Pizza & La Pasta. While waiting we took the time to explore the valley fair mall. Once we got in, we were seated immediately. Service was very polite and kind, and the only downside was they forgot to provide utensils. I got the fettuccine in the cheese wheel with truffle oil, and I got to see them mix it in the cheese wheel in front of me! The pasta tasted very cheesy (which is a good thing!) and the truffle oil adds another layer of flavor. The portion was filling and I think it's worth the $30 price. I also got a slice of the margarita plaza and I thought it was a good appetizer. While I had a good time at this place, one of my friends got the ravioli and was disappointed with the portion.Overall, this place is a good place to have a fancy dinner. You can explore the mall while you're on the waitlist and the pasta is good!

We decided on pasta today. We started with the polpette appetizer, 3 beef & pork meatballs in a tomato sauce. They were soft textured meatballs. Definitely not dry. The focaccia rossa was warm and it came with salt and olive oil. I liked the additional tomato flavor. We had the tagliatelle alla bolognese, noodles had a good bite, ragu was made with pork & beef. The Spatzel con speck funghi was traditional gnocchi with mushrooms. It was hearty. The maltagliati alla norcina was my favorite. It's their house made spinach pasta with a sausage & porcini mushroom ragu. I liked the soft texture of the raviolis and the more flavorful sausage and mushroom ragu. Staff were great. Manuel was our server. We butchered the pronunciation of all the dishes but he still got our orders right. We saw an open kitchen from our view. The pasta was interesting to try and seemed authentic. It's hard to find a good Italian restaurant. This place had more of a modern touch. No salt & pepper on the table and the pastas were seasoned with cheese per the menu. The plates were huge so maybe that's why the portions looked small but they were hearty especially if you have appetizers and focaccia. If you're in a rush, I would recommend the pizza & pasta on the first floor.

*LOCATION*Located at the top floor of Eataly, this place always seems to be busy! *WAIT TIME*We happened to end up here during prime lunch time on a Saturday ~12:30pm. The inside was full but we were offered a seat at one of the high-top tables directly outside the entrance. We didn't feel like waiting so we decided to just take it. The only downside to these tables is that it's pretty much in the middle of the store walkway so there are people walking around you on all sides haha*FOOD*-Salsicciotta pizza: flavorful sauce and toppings, perfectly chewy crust-Maltagliati alla norcina pasta: loved the spinach pasta, SOOOO deliciously creamy and cheesy, quite a heavy dish!*SERVICE*When you get seated, they will offer sparkling or still water. We asked for still water and it was the glass bottle kind that you pay $$$ for. Next time, we will probably just ask for regular tap water instead! The waiters checked on us during our meal and refilled our waters as needed. *AMBIENCE*TBH it was v chaotic since we were seated outside. I'm sure the inside or patio dining experience is much different LOL

Such an elegant and modern spot in EATALY. Very crowded, so make sure to make reservations. The staff all have a fun accent, and def dressed/looked the part. Gave me the best Italy vibes. Food is really good, and not the typical heavy and rich pasta! it felt light, and delicious! However, the service needs improvement. Our orders were constantly inaccurate and service was a slow start. They did accommodate us for the poor service, which made up for the not so good experience. Not a cheap place either, so make sure the service matches the price you pay!
