What a great find!There is a large parking lot as it is shared with a school. We came for breakfast on a Saturday morning. It was not too crowded so we got seated right awayThe staff was very very friendly and very attentiveThe food was great. Rice and beans had great flavor. Make a stop here to eat. You will not be disappointed

I came here in a weekday and the restaurant wasn't busy. There are plenty of seats and parking outside. The service here was okay. The place has a classic aesthetic. I got the chicken enchilada and it was okay. It wasn't that flavorful. I wish I got it with verde sauce or something because it definitely felt like something was missing. There are definitely better traditional Mexican spots in the area. I was hoping the chips would be fresh and hot but they weren't. I was expecting more since this place has been a classic Milpitas staple. I don't think it's worth the price.

It's been a few years since I've been here. Very home cooked feel, the foods good and ingredients used are fresh. Waiters were nice as always! Chips and salsa were at the table with my wife when I got back from washing up. The food came out fast as well! Chile verde was good, first time I had it here and I'm used to the blended up chile style I guess. Beans and rice were on point. Wife had the carne asada plate. It was cooked perfect but a little bland for me. I ended up salting a few pieces for myself. Some hot sauce would have complimented well but I didn't want to bother and ask during lunch hour

Great, authentic and fresh Mexican food at a decent price. Friendly staff and conveniently located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. Music is at a pleasant level where you can enjoy your conversations. The restaurant has plenty of seating two sections smaller tables to bigger ones for large parties, very accommodating. Definitely will be returning when in area.

La Milpa continues to be a Milpitas favorite - with consistent quality and the best service around.Tonight, the a la carte Chimichanga did the trick. Fried golden brown and filled with moist, shredded chicken. Topped with guacamole and sour crème, it's even better covered in their red salsa.Very attentive service without being rushed.Plenty of parking in the large lot out front.

This place is very cute and cozy. Came here on a Sunday afternoon and was seated instantly. Service was very quick. Food was good. I didn't think the tacos would be a big portion. My meal was around $16. I would say it's a good place to bring families because of the space. I would recommend anyone to come here.

La Milpa has been around for decades in Milpitas. This is a testament to the quality of food served here.Solid Mexican cuisine. As with any restaurant, some dishes excel more than others. I would inquire with the staff what their most popular items are. Some things that stand out with this restaurant are bottomless chips and salsa, and soup of the day that comes with dinner entrees. The soup is not your typical cheap broth-like soup that restaurants serve for free. It's very hearty with chunks of meat and vegetables. The ambience is warm and welcoming. They have a good variety of items on their menu. You'll notice a lot of locals and elderly that visit this restaurant due to its friendly atmosphere which caters to family gatherings.

Staff and Service:- Upon entering the restaurant, there is a host stand where you'll wait to be seated - This was a bit chaotic when I arrived as there was someone trying to order takeout, someone trying to pay a bill, a mother and child trying to be seated, and myself. The entrance isn't very large, so we were all in each other's way trying to get what we needed to proceed Food:- Enchilada Plate: this dish was good, but it wasn't anything spectacular. The food salad quickly got warm from it sitting in the enchilada sauce when it was served to me. The cheese on top of the beans seemed like it had been sitting there for a while - House Salad: my friend always orders this and says it's one of her favorites Miscellaneous:- Parking is available via a shared parking lot with other businesses (plenty of parking)

Wonderful ! Waiter Ignacio was absolutely top notch and thoughtful with our kids orders and our food arrived cooked perfectly and quickly. I haven't been here since the 90s so I was worried it had changed. It has not changed at all the ambiance and feel are the same old la Milpa restaurant I enjoyed when I lived here.
