Or call it "enjococado". This unique dish, once designed for our very special customers, is now everyone's favorite. It dates back over 100 years and is a family recipe. Breast of chicken cooked in a thick sour cream base. A delicate blend of spices and mild chiles give it a sophisticated and flavorful taste.
A dia de fiesta dish. We grind cocoa beans, spices, nuts, seeds and a dash of Mexican chocolate to create a rich medium-hot sauce. This dark mole sauce is served over a breast of chicken and sprinkled with sesame seeds.

La Fiesta is a restaurant my husband has been talking about even before we got married and even though we have tried multiple times to go, we were not able to given for one reason or another. However, this past Valentines day we finally gave this spot a shot and I am so glad we did! This definitely feels like a fun cute homey Mexican spot and you can tell it's very popular as there was a wait. They only do walkins but thankfully after 30 minutes we were able to get a table.For food both the husband and I got Grandma's enchiladas. Now let me tell you this was DELICIOUS! The sauce is to die for and both the hubby and I were absolutely satiated. We got the veggie and chicken enchiladas and both were delicious. The plates also came with rice and beans which was awesome. They had messed up on my husbands order who wanted 1 chicken and 1 veg, giving 2 veg but when we told them they gave us another chicken enchilada. Customer service was absolutely great!Overall, can't wait to go back again and bring all our friends and family!

Just finished my left overs and I am so sad because I wanted them to last forever! I got the lightly breaded Tiger prawns in chipotle sauce and that sauce had soooo much flavor and a little kick which I loved! Incredible! My husband got the burrito in Grandma's sauce and loved it (be aware it's not how you would picture a burrito from a taqueria, more like a large enchilada). Also the flan is delicious!Regarding our server, we loved him! He was very honest on what he thought was best which was exactly what I needed because I go crazy when I ask for a recommendation and the server just says "everything's good".We already can't wait until the next time we get to go. :)

This is a great authentic restaurant off the beaten path of Castro Street in downtown Mountain View. They have all the traditional dishes you'd expect at a Mexican restaurant. The drinks are yummy too! I'd highly recommend the Sangria!We were so busy eating that I forgot to take pictures. Here are a few of the inside and outside seating areas. They have an okay seating area in the parking lot, but the inside is magical with artwork and unique lighting.

Came by on a Saturday night to a packed restaurant. It seemed understaffed as our waiter was running around quite a bit and was only able to get to us occasionally. They have a full margarita menu, and the one I tried was excellent. The food was solid and had considerable portion sizes.

Simply put, La Fiesta is the best authentic Mexican restaurant in the South Bay Area. We have been going for over 15 years & it's consistently been an incredible dining experience each time. The Bistec Ranchero is a personal favorite & always hits the spot. The outdoor seating area that was added recently is also great. Recently we had them cater a party & the food was excellent from the Grandmas sauce, enchiladas to the guacamole. If you're local or visiting the area, do yourself a favor & stop by this legendary establishment. You won't be sorry!
