La Cosina De Tel

I've been here a handful of times so I think it's about time to give an honest review!First and foremost, I always enjoy chatting with Carlos and Eddie when I stop by to order. They are always very cordial, and take the time to get to know their customers. I've been to a handful of food trucks, and none of them have made me feel as welcome for my business, as La Cosina has. I've ordered their nachos (al pastor, chicken, beef, etc.), and the portions have always been more than generous. I always feel like I'm taking advantage of them when I see how much food I get, for such a great price, especially with today's competitive pricing in mind. I've also had their burritos, quesadillas, and taco's, and those seem to follow that same rule of generous portions. They also do well accommodating my food requests like: half/ half of different meats, subbing stuff out for others, etc. and don't seem to have any issues.My wife and daughter always ask me to stop by on my way home from work!Definitely a great spot in northern San Jose!

Whenever we see the email subject "Food Truck Today" from our apartment complex, we always hope it is La Cosina De Tel. Rain or shine we will be outside in our PJs just to get our hands on their burritos!We have tried their burritos, quesadillas, burgers and tacos. Although they are ALL amazing, my husband's go to is always their Carne Asada California Burrito (a super burrito with fries instead of rice) and I get their Carne Asada Burro (especially a super burrito with no rice). As soon as we snag our burritos, we will rush back into our apartment n will literally eat in complete silence... savoring every single bite. From the well seasoned meat to the crispy thin tortilla and the perfect balance of cheese, cilantro, onions, grilled onions, sour cream and guacamole... it's seriously unmatched! We are always so sad when we reach our last bite :'(The service is also so inviting and friendly! You can really tell how passionate they are about their food :)We tell all our friends and family they are the best burritos we have ever had! And trust me, we LOVE Mexican food and have tried countless spots. If you ever see the truck, please try them out - you will not regret it!

We had the pleasure to have Carlos cater my daughter's graduation party. The food was fresh and delicious. We had many complements and everyone loved the pastor tacos. We will definitely have Carlos cater our next event.

Supper cool concept of quick pick up food! Order online and pick up at the location. Or DoorDash to make everything easier. Hands down the best pastor tacos around!! Super good! I can eat these all day everyday! All the food was fresh and delicious. Can't wait to try the whole menu...GET THE PASTOR TACOS THEY KNOW WHAT THEYRE DOING!

It's stiff competition in the Bay Area so my review is in comparison to other tacos in the Bay. Overall honestly, it was okay. Their tacos aren't layered with two corn tortillas like other spots, therefore they got soggy and ripped before I could pick them up :( They arrived to our apartment complex at 4pm and I came around 4:30 but the meat was a bit cold and dry (did not taste freshly cooked at all). I asked for guac and chips (normally not on the menu) but the chips were superrrr salty and oily. the guac was very small portion (sauce cup) and was puréed (like the jar guac from the grocery store). I really wanted to like their tacos/food based on how convenient the food truck location was but sadly have to skip next time :(4 tacos = $12Chips & guac = $5

Our to-go place for Al-pastor tacos. Besides Al-pastor, California burrito and Mex Hamburger are our other favorites.

Huge shout out to the team La Cosina De Tel for coming out to my baby's first birthday. Rain or shine they made it happen. Great communication and above all delicious food with amazing sauces to go along truly amazing and very pleased with how well the food came out everyone at the party loved it. Thank you guys again for coming out and thank you for also being able to cook while having some rain

We have used this catering service before and were able to use them again for our baby shower. Everybody absolutely loved and raved about their food. We had about 110 people and they managed to stay on top of the crowds and went above and beyond. Would highly recommend and would definitely use their services again.

Carlos and crew catered my retirement lunch for about 70 people yesterday. The service was smooth and the food was absolutely delicious. If I had one suggestion, it would be to put out a bigger stack of business cards! They all got taken very quickly. We had al pastor, asada, chicken, chorizo, and beyond beef. Plus beans and rice, and all the fixings, even pineapple! ALL wonderful! Thanks so much!
