I've been going here for years, and I'm happy to report that nothing much has changed. I think nowadays we mostly just do take-out and eat at home. While we wait, we do some shopping. Depending on what you order, some things are pricy, so we only come here occasionally. This time around, I ate here with my family. Once you walk in, you're seated right away. It doesn't really give a welcoming vibe, but it's pretty chill. They have plenty of seating, and it's minimally decorated. If you look to your left, you can see some people prepping the grab and go lunches/meals in the store. The food is always made fresh and made to order, so be patient. They bring everything out as it's done. They also provide you with hot tea right away. We ordered:1. Lunch kal bi - May seem pricey, but I feel it's standard for any Korean restaurant. It comes out sizzling when they place it on the table. The meat was very tender and flavorful. It comes with a scoop of rice and 4 side dishes.2. Pork soft tofu - This is one of my brothers' go-to dishes. It is nice and hot during this cold winter morning we've been having. Place the raw egg on top, and it cooks right away. Vey good comfort food.3. Sushi regular - The sushi was fresh and rice perfectly cooked. I loved the variety they provide as well.4. Original mixed chicken wings - I think you can't go here without ordering it. This time around, we ordered mixed, which is wings, drumettes, and boneless. This takes a little while. It was the last to arrive, actually. It was definitely piping hot, cooked perfectly, and so crunchy.5. Kimchi fried rice - I ordered this to go for my husband, and it was a huge portion. It had the perfect amount of spice that just kept you wanting to eat more. Overall, it was a good experience. We beat the lunch rush, so it was pretty quiet.

Even at the "lunch special" price ($34), the galbi is a terrible value--it's a small portion for the price, and the meat is tough and flavorless. Imagine paying $10 more for the same audaciously overpriced, below-average dish for dinner. The measly four side dishes are also below average, and they're tiny portions.Sub-par service.Don't waste your money and time here. There are better quality options elsewhere, e.g. Han Il Kwan in SF. I should have known better to check my own review from 5 years ago.

Proper Korean meal & you can always get a table. It's not a going out to eat at a restaurant experience. It's more like a cafeteria. But the food is very good.

This restaurant is very convenient if you get hungry while shopping in the Kukje Market. The menu is very extensive. There was a lot of good offerings to choose from. We came in for a late lunch. It was not crowded at all and we were seated immediately. We ordered Gal Bi Tang, Soft Tofu with Assorted Mushroom Soup, Kimbap, and the complimentary Banchan. We also received a complimentary Miso Soup. The Gal Bi Tang was delicious, the meat very tender although the soup was a bit oily. My hubby devoured the Soft Tofu and Assorted Mushroom Soup. He said it was very tasty and hit the spot. The Kimbap was yummy. The Banchan was appetizing and mouthwatering. The quality is good but not great like Han Il Kwan, our fave. The service was professional, and very swift. The waitress was very personable. The cook brought out the food on a wheeled cart. He announced the name of the dish. The servings are very generous; we brought home leftover Gal Bi Tang and Kimbap. The ambiance was nice with fast moving service. Parking can be tough; we parked on the street as the parking lot is usually very congested. The restaurant doesn't have its own restroom. If nature calls, you will be using the markets restroom which was very dirty. There was paper all over the floor, they were out of seat covers and paper towels. The line was 3 deep, I was tempted to use the men's!!

Stopped in for a very late lunch/early dinner the other day while shopping. The menu is quite large and service was quick. When we arrived we were one of two tables but a few other parties came in while we were there. I had the stone pot bibimbap w/beef and my SO had sushi which was three large rolls (tuna, cucumber and avocado IIRC). Prices are a little high but portions are large so you could easily have enough for a second meal if you're not a big eater or super hungry. Both meals came with miso soup and banchan with kimchi, cuttlefish, broccoli and tofu and sesame bean sprouts. Everything was good. My bibimbap was piping hot with a nice crispy rice bottom, the veggies were fresh and the meat was tasty. My SO liked his sushi as well. I'm sure we will be back.

Very convenient since the restaurant is within the supermarket. I love the doorbell at the table that you ring to get service. Very convenient and reminiscent of Korea. The server was very nice and accommodating of dietary restrictions for my party. Food is pretty standard. The galbijim was good in flavor but the ribs could've been braised longer. Also would've liked the portion to be bigger but the price is slightly cheaper than some other places so the portion is justified. Tofu soup and fried chicken are also standard but good. Their fresh fried chicken tastes A LOT better than the pre-packed trays from the market deli. They used to allow half half chicken but now I was told only one flavor per order. I'd recommend for a quick and standard, no-frills Korean meal.

The food is solid if you're looking to grab some Korean food quickly. Layout of the place is pretty small but that's no big deal. Standard restaurant especially when it's in a grocery store. However, what was off-putting was the attitude and reaction of the waitress. We only had enough to pay for the meal but not tip so the waitress was upset. I get it. I worked in food service before. No tips suck. But complain in private, don't give the customer a negative experience.

Been here a couple of times. It's tiny inside, and it has a very Korean homey feeling. It's located in side the Kukje Market. Reminds me of the korean dramas I used to watch. The service is good. They're very attentive to their customers. The food is good too. The stone pot foods are my favorite since I love my food super hot.

The parking lot is always full. Sometimes, just find a meter after 6 pm and eat there. Food is average to very good. Today, original fried chicken wings mixed were average. Tempora was very good. Bone soup with beef and noodles was good. The service was excellent. No ambiance, as this is just a cafe. Overall, 4 stars out of 5.
