I did not know this was here, possibly drove by this place daily for months until a friend pointed it out to meSample few items, definitely will be back to sample more, here is what I sampled and I will bring back to fam to sample more options, stuck with the option # 1 which is Da Biet Xe LuaCha Gio Tom (house special fried shrimp) - pipping hot, crunchy outside and flavorful inside of shrimp, taro and mung bean, definitely sample this item for the table for 3 people it was more then enough for everyone to sample# 1 the Dac Biet Xe Lua - this broth contained thin slices of stea, well done brisket, flank, tendon and tripe, everything with this dish was perfect, pipping hot, side of veggies comes standard also slices of lemon, the broth was good, the meats offered was also good, the noodles tasted fresh and well made, if you feel like soup definitely come to this spot and try this dish out, if you like beef balls stick with # 2, I will have to come back and sample the thicker noodles for next time if not the beef stew for next time, but from what I sampled it was very goodspace is wide open , clean, helpful staff, seems there is a section you can eat upstairs looking down, only other place that does this is Gao in San Mateo which is a fancy Vietnamese restaurant lol. Definitely will be back to sample more of there broths and other dishes, they do have rice plates, and several other optionsfood ***** I will have to come back and sample moreprice $$ service **** friendly, helpful, responsiveambiance **** large, open space, seating upstairs

Visited on a Sunday around 5:30pm with a friend, restaurant had a few other guest but was fairly empty so easy to walk in and grab a table of our choice. Ample seating and space availible. Food: #13 Pho tai gau with cooked brisket and rare steak - got a regular sized portion which was perfect for me, there is the option to choose a larger size if that's preferred, broth was pretty clear with minimal fat with a nice depth of flavor and pho spices served pretty hot, there were a few slices of meat, maybe 8-10 pieces in my bowl, meat was fairly tender and cooked quickly in the broth, served with a large plate of bean sprouts, basil leaves, lime, and jalapeno on the side along with lots of sauces to choose fromService was pretty no frills place, placed order with the server and bowls came out within a few minutes. Water was provided and refilled throughout the meal. Overall solid spot of pho in South San Francisco. Clean, no frill, quick and efficient and a pretty good value with a medium sized bowl for less than $15.

We've been to Kevin's noodle house on Irving Street and the 2 locations in Daly City, so it was only natural to check out their newest location on Grand Avenue. Parking can be difficult when it's prime time, but we usually find a spot close by. Because this spacious location is fairly new, there's no waiting and you're able to get seated right away! And their extensive menu is the same and the food is solid too. OUR PICKS:#43 GRILLED BEEF, SHRIMP CAKES W/STEAMED RICE ~ I enjoyed the tasty beef and crispy shrimp cakes. Though you get an average amount of beef and a ton of rice. They also include some veggies too. 4/5#51 GRILLED BEEF, CARROT, LETTUCE, PEANUTS AND VERMICELLI NOODLE ~ I like a good amount of vegetables with my meal. That's why I often choose the cold noodle salad. I usually go for 5 spice chicken but decided to try beef. This hit the spot! My bowl had a good portion of tasty beef and nice, fresh greens. 5/5#1 PHO DAC BIET XE LUA ~ Special combo of thin sliced medium rare steak, well done brisket, flank, tendon and tripe. This only comes in a large. It is a huge bowl so if you're hungry, this would definitely be the one to get! And if you're hungry and like variety, it's got it all. Great on a cold day! 5/5#37 GRILLED PORK CHOP, SHREDDED PORK, PORK SKIN, EGG W/STEAMED RICE~ super flavorful pork! You get a good amount of satisfying food on this plate. 4/5I only wish that Kevin's would have flat rice noodles, but they do have egg noodles. If I'm having the cold noodle salad, then it wouldn't matter but for soup noodles, I prefer fresh rice noodles as the people in SJ always call it. But you can't beat the value at Kevin's!

I was very delightfully, surprised! The food, service, ambience was excellent!I've been to a lot of places in my lifetime and I gotta say that the food was delicious, but also unique! We ordered the pho 1, which had rare sliced beef, tripe, tendon, and was a ginormous bowl! The soup had a ton of depth, and you could tell it was slow cooked with a lot of spices. Another great thing or that the noodles were al dente! :O so yum.We also got the vermichili with beef and fried egg roll. This was a very interesting dish. The beef was so flavorful to point. It was almost a little bit over salted yet delicious and I have tried so many different vermicelli in my life and this was the only time that I've had al dente noodles as well. It was a really nice chewy texture! Now the only thing I have to say is that this was massively lacking in vegetables. There was only a small handful of lettuce on the side versus most vermicelli. I've had have a lot more (one of the main reasons that I get vermicelli in the first place) so that was a bit disappointing We also got the Shredded beef rolls, which were actually quite delicious, there was like that beef sawdust stuff with really chewy, stretchy noodles paired with fish sauce!we had lunch over the span of 45 minutes, really showing how quick the service was. Will certainly be back here many times again!

I stopped by Kevin's Noodle House while in town for an appointment nearby and was looking for a spot to grab lunch. This place turned out to be a solid choice. The restaurant is spacious, with two floors of open seating and plenty of tables. It was clean, and the staff was efficient. Upon entering, I was greeted promptly and assigned a table.Ordering was quick and easy, and I decided to try their basic dishes to compare them to the many pho restaurants I've visited across the U.S. The prices were fair for the area, and parking was street parking. The pho soup I received was served at the perfect temperature (nice and hot!), with a generous amount of toppings and noodles. The soup had the classic pho flavor you'd expect--nothing fancy, but exactly what I wanted. The fresh spring rolls (gỏi cuốn) were okay; they were neatly presented, but I found them a bit underwhelming. I wish they were a little thicker, with more noodles or veggies to better absorb the tasty peanut sauce on the side.Overall, this place left a great impression. I'd definitely come back to try more of their entrees and appetizers. With its spacious seating, it also seems like a great spot for larger groups.

A new Kevin Noodle House opened up, so I had to give it a try. The quality is consistent with their other locations. My go-to is either the number five or number six pho, both of which are always satisfying. I recommend trying their appetizers and drinks, especially the avocado shake and Thai tea.One thing I always appreciate about Kevin Noodle House is how efficient they are. The service is super fast. Parking, however, can be a challenge since it is located on the busy Grand Avenue, and sometimes you might need to park two to four blocks away. Overall, I love that this location has two floors, making it spacious and convenient for dining in.

F O O DSmall #6 - Comes with well done brisket, flank, tripe and tendon - I think I got one full soup spoon of thinly sliced tripe, one piece of tendon, three pieces of well-done brisket, and two pieces of rare flank. All that to say that it's not enough meat. Large Pho - Hubby ordered a large and thinks he received the same amount of meat, a little more noodles, more broth in a bigger bowl. I'd order the small or medium. The hubby didn't finish his bowl due to the taste.Sides - Hoisin sauce was pasty, almost as if it was old. Mixing it with the Siracha helped with the pastiness. Maybe this was the brand that they used because the bottle looked pretty new and clean. Lemons instead of limes. One plate of herbs, which was fine.S E R V I C EMinimal, but we ate pretty fast.Overall it's a decent spot, but not if you're looking for more meat. My Hubby and I were disappointed.

Come for: incredibly consistent decent tasting pho. Know that: drinks are hit or miss. A great place to take someone for their first time trying phoKevin's Noodle House (pho huynh hiep) was a staple of Irving Street in San Francisco for decades. It was probably one of my first bowls of pho and where I've taken many friends throughout the past 2 decades to try pho for the first time. The gateway pho restaurant!Going to this new location, it's crazy that the pho is exactly like the Irving location, is exactly like the Daly City location, and exactly like I remembered it from the 90s. You know what you're gonna get. There's few bells and whistles with Kevin's - it's not the best and not the worst pho. The flavors are pretty straightforward. It's "mid" as the kids would say, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Choose what meats you like from the combo options and order away. Service will be pretty quick. One thing I do regret though is ordering the honeydew smoothie. Awful. Tasted like artificial powder diluted with water. Did not finish it and would never get again. Stick to the tried and true Thai iced tea.Overall, Kevin's will give you a no frills pho experience and a common talking point with many SF locals. If you're looking for a decent tasting pho with easy parking - Kevin's is your spot.

I got a small chicken pho. Broth was delicious. Chicken was good. Noodle was good amount and I got a small. If I was really hungry, I'd get a medium but I was hungover and this was perfect size lol. The coffee is good and made me stay up all day and night LOL. The staff is nice too. :) if I'm near, I'm definitely coming back!!
