Katsuo Sushi & Grill

I needed a "go-to" sushi spot near my work, and I'm so glad that I found Katsuo. I'm definitely a regular here, about once a week I need my sushi fix. I like that they have an easy online ordering system or I can call in my order. I've never had any issues calling in. It's located in the Costco shopping plaza, but there is plenty of parking. There are a couple of tables inside, but I usually take my food to go. They package the food pretty good. I love the portions! I recommend their bento boxes which are super filling. Sometimes I treat myself to their hamachi lover roll which is generous with the fish and very fresh.

Katsuo Sushi is located in the Eden Shores plaza next to Costco. Usually plenty of parking here as well. I came here a couple times recently, both for to go and I ordered ahead of time. They have been pretty quick here, I usually get my food within 10 - 12 minutes after calling. I usually get a couple orders of the Salmon Roll and the rolls are pretty decently sized for the price. The freshness of the salmon is good compared to other local sushi spots nearby. I would not say it is my favorite sushi spot, but it is overall a decent spot to get quick and affordable sushi in the area.

Been meaning to try this spot for awhile. The food is good and the service staff is friendly. There's a small number of tables inside and two outside. A nice surprise were the prices. I'm in San Jose a lot and this spot had prices about five dollars less than where I usually go. I'll definitely be back.

I went again to try something else: lunch plate combo. The quality of the food isn't bad. The location can get very busy. The takeout orders are more higher than the dine in. I got to chicken combo: katsu and grilled. Grilled meat was super thin and heavy with teriyaki sauce. The katsu is okay. Wasn't fresh made. The extra star went to rainbow roll and the dragon roll which were decent. Extra gingers for me always appreciated and the front counter lady is pretty easy to approach and friendly.

Nice place to eat some Japanese food in Hayward. We had their Spicy Miso Scallop Ramen and Black Garlic Chasu Ramen. Both soups were very good. I loved the broth, which was nice and hot. The spicy miso was not too spicy, which I enjoyed. The black garlic had a slight sweet taste. The noodles had a nice chew. The scallops were cooked perfectly. Loved the bamboo shoots and seaweed in my ramen. Gave my soup a nice texture. The hard boiled egg was also a nice touch. The fish cake was visually appealing with its white and pink color. The pork was nice and tender. Very enjoyable meal with the ramen at this place!

Place is small but enough tables. Great service and food was good. I had the hurricane roll and it was good. Definitely spicy but good! Coming back to try other things.

Our go to spot to date. Fresh and friendly service and the food is on point. I wish they offer cold zaru noodles. The only thing I noticed in the years past is the Salmon is still sliced thinly. My favorite is the Unagi Don :) and yes we have tried then all and we are regulars and go weekly.

Good place to pick up some sushi. The inside is small but the few times I've been here we've never had a hard time finding seats. You order at the counter. Ordered the dragon roll. Good sized roll and quality. And got the chicken katsu for my daughter. Chicken was nice a crispy! A good go to for a quick meal.

I ordered the salmon teriyaki through GrubHub. It was delivered in the timely manner, and the food was delicious.give them a try you'll be glad you did Bon appétit

Food pretty good. Small place but clean. Staff friendly as well. Happy there's a nearby Japanese restaurant and it's good. Not as good as our favorite Tomodachi but good enough.
