Joe's Taco Shop

He was across from the Toyota dealership in Milpitas and I tried the al pastor torta. He was very helpful with me as I asked questions about the best meat for the torta and drinks. He gave me samples of his salsa's and was genuinely happy to help. It was convenient and I wasn't necessarily in the mood for Mexican food so I wanted to thank him! The food was delicious, the Diablo sauce was very good , flavorful with the heat at the end gave it a special kick.

Been driving by this spot for months and we always remind ourselves that we're going to try it one of these days. That day finally came. Stopped by two nights ago and got burritos and a burrito bowl. The carnitas was good in itself. The burritos were fairly large and were quite good. There was lettuce in them which gave them a nice crunch now and then. The man running it all by himself was just the nicest guy. Can't stress that enough. We'll be back.

Tried their food at a friend's party, and IT WAS AMAZING. Mexican-Indian fusion done right. Still drooling thinking about it. Tried their Butter Chicken Tacos, Paneer tacos, Gobhi Tacos, Thepla enchiladas (or something similar), tandoori chicken flautas and a couple other veggie dishes. By the end of the party, I'd eaten two meals worth of food! SO GOOD! I highly recommend this place.

I have tried Joes for more than one year. The best part is waiting and eating nachos with bean sauce. He gives it free. I tried tandoori and grilled chicken tacos and quesadillas. The food was good but I found the tandoori chicken a little spicy but overall it's worth a try.

We need tacos for our parent teacher association/organization, staff appreciation week.We utilize Joe's tacos, two years in a row.What I liked:On site real time delicious taco creations.Vegetarian options that included Indian flavored beans, tofu, cheese, etc.Catered: Carnegie Asada (beef) Pollo (chicken)Veggie(Paneer)(Green beans)(Roasted Chipotle Curry Aloo - potato)(Gobi- cauliflower)(Tofu)Everything was super delicious. The chicken was actually really tender and amazing. The beef was absolutely delicious and even though we had the most of it, it was the first thing to go. The vegetarian options were spicy, but incredible. Would call them back next year to have them cater our events.

This review is for my experience with Joe's Taco Shop's truck. (I see that they do a boatload of catering and all of those foods look so delicious!)Joe's truck had been parked in front of the school in my neighborhood after school practically everyday and during evenings on the weekends and I'd walk by it all the time while walking my dog. The hubby and I made a plan to finally hit it up during one of our dog walks and of course, the one night we planned for it, they weren't there! I follow them on Instagram to stay tuned in on where they'll be but they aren't always updating their locations, so... that risk didn't pay off. We ended up planning for it another night and were finally successful. When we put in our order, we were each given a small container of chips and a little container of black bean salsa. The chips were nothing to write home about but that black bean salsa was very delicious. In fact, I was a fan of all of their salsas that they sent us home with. I ended up ordering way more than I could eat because I wanted to try my staples. I ended up with the al pastor burrito, bean & cheese burrito, and carnitas tacos. All the food was good! The bean and cheese burrito was like a melty cheese volcano. Al pastor meat was well-seasoned. The carnitas taco was pretty solid, though I was not a fan of the giant pieces of onions that I had to fish out (not my thing).Sadly, I haven't seen them by the school lately anymore so while I enjoyed the food, I don't enjoy the chase trying to figure out where they are on a given day, though to their credit, they do respond on IG. This is, of course, how most taco trucks work, so being able to hit someone up on IG to find out where they are is a complete privilege.I'd definitely hit them up again someday if they returned to the neighborhood, but we'll see what happens.

Finally tried Joe's taco truck after passing by it almost everyday. No regrets here! Food is fairly priced and the meats and fillings are so generous. They take phone orders which is awesome for times you're in a hurry. Orders come out within 10 mins or less. Love their service and how nice they are. Food was yummy. Tacos. Quesadillas. Aguas Fresca. All so good! My kids love his black bean salsa and he's so nice to give it complimentary.

Wow ! Wow !I really do not know where to start but Joe is a rockstar !! We had him for a party in our backyard yesterday.1. The food: I have never seen such amazing fusion of Indian and Mexican food. Not to mention that the "vegetarian" and "vegan" varieties were outstanding. All my guests took his number and were happy. Oh btw, the drink was great too2. The setup: Joe came a full " 1 hour" in advance. He did not bother us for anything , fully self succifient, and setup everything. He was ready before time, and he was happy to sit around till the end. He was smiling and serving everyone and talking. Also, for a 30 people crowd, he was pretty efficient3. Kindness: There are somethings that transcend good business. Joe was very transperent , no "hidden charges". His contract was clean. He voluntarily added a few dishes. I think in a short interaction, I found Joe as a very kind human being 4. Oh and lastly, the ordering and payment are very systematic. If you visit his food truck too, order some of the Indian veggie stuff - it is too delicious a meal :)
