2025 and nothing really has changed besides the prices.2/14/25 I got togo for a full chicken with 2 sides - $38.99Leche de tigre was $28. And at this point, me and my bf low key regretted we didn't just go out to dinner due to sticker shock of the prices, but the food did make up for it, because it was good. They do have different prices for dining in and take out.The food here remains the same. I love the fluffy rice and the white dipping sauce. The portions have also remained the same so that's good.

We visited a Peruvian restaurant for the first time and received a warm welcome. They could tell we were new, so they took extra care of us. Since most of the staff spoke Spanish, we had someone who spoke English help us with our orders. They recommended the Peruvian drink Chicha Morada, which we loved and ordered. For starters, we tried Tamales and Choros a la chalaca (Mussels). The tamales were cooked perfectly, and even though it was our first time trying mussels, we enjoyed them, they get all the taste from toppings of onion, tomato, and lemon. Not easy for first timers to savor the raw taste and look of mussels. After seeing good reviews, we decided to try the Ceviche De Pescado. It turned out to be marinated seafood, not cooked, but surprisingly, we enjoyed its unique citrusy flavor. It was well-prepared, and we were glad we tried something new that didn't disappoint. Overall, we had a great experience and highly recommend trying Peruvian specialties.

Been here since I was a kid. The lomo saltado is so good. I stay in Sacramento now so every time I come to San Jose I tend to come for that. So good I would recommend.

3 Star - Hostess3 Star - Wait time3 Star - Service & Ambiance 4 Star - Food3 Star - Plating & presentation of the dishes 2 Star - Price _______________18/30 = 60% = 3 StarLocation:A bit in a rough part of San Jose with the view of Communication Hills from Behind.Ambience:Outdoor and indoor seating available. Has the feel as if you just crossed to Tijuana and eating at a local Peruvian restaurant.Food:Ordered Lomo and Bistek served with a side of rice, egg and fries. Just enough seasoning where it doesn't taste too salty. Meat and rice was well portioned. Enough for a grown man to say they are full. Definitely not your normal taco and burrito joint. Most dishes are plated and served by waitress's who don't speak much English. So be prepared to speak in some Spanish.Price:A bit on the pricey side of $21 to $23 before tax and tip.And yea they take Apple Pay.

The pollo a la brasa was over salted. One of the pieces still had a string tied to the chicken leg, and they were late with my order; I had to wait over 30min. To my surprise, when I got home, the fries that it normally comes with was not in the order. Instead, they provided soggy potatoes with that had potato skin and tasted very starchy. When I called the host to complain, she was very rude and said that's what they were serving today and that they would have the regular fries tomorrow. She offered to replace the potatoes with the same potatoes. Why would I want that?!! I told her that's not how this dish is served and that in the future they should inform customers if they're out of something. She then had the audacity to call me back just to inform me that the potatoes they used are Peruvian. I've been a customer of Jess's Place for many years and have never had an issue with the pollo a la brasa. I am disappointed with my most recent experience, and I will not be back.

Demasiado pequeño el pollo ni siquiera llena ese lado del plato, y la porcion de papas que me dieron para llevar parece media porcion, es la ultima vez que compararé ahí , es un robo para 41 dolares , mejor compro otra comida y me lleno más!
