We were seated right away at 430pm before dinner rush-hour. After we ordered the food and the series of delightful banchans ( small plates of sides ) arrived. We ordered 1 appetizer and 2 entrees arrived in generous portions and plenty for 3 adults. Love the authentic Korean style sit-down grill center on tables which you can cook yourself or be served.

It's been a while since we've been back and actually eat in person. Generally we're grab and go type of people but we had family visiting so we ate in person this time. In short, a little pricey, but hearty Korean food with friendly service.L O C A T I O NJang Su Jang is off of Calaveras Blvd. In the same plaza as Grocery Outlet and Paris Baguette. The parking siutation here is horrible especially during peak eating times. Since they're basically competing with a few other very popular restaurants and they all share the same parking area.I N S I D EThere are bbq grilling stations with the exhaust right above the tables if you're going to to do that. But it's a spacious restaurant. Just be forewarned, you will smell like food. M E N UMenu hasn't changed in the years but of course the prices have. Darn inflation. The food quality seems to go up and down. Compared to the last time we had seafood pancake here, it seems like we're back on the up.I don't think you can go wrong here, everything is really good. The ban chan also the most diverse I've seen though I wish they had jap chae as a ban chan. The dumpling tofu soup was delicious especially on a cold day. Definitely cleans up your sinuses. The spicy pork was the right amount of spicy and I did appreciate that the pieces were minced as I have issues chewing these days. The LA Galbi was fine. I didn't concentrate on eating that as we were more focused on the more spicy items as our other family members don't particularly like spicy foods.S E R V I C EService was good. Though we did end up having to ask about our Seafood pancake as we were eating everything else that was ordered and it was yet to come. I guess it takes a bit of time. I do wish they had more napkins on the table outside of the one they give you. I guess we could ask for more which we did and they did give it to us. I forgot that they used to give a yogurt drink at the end of meals and they don't do that any more. Bummer.O V E R A L LThe prices are a bit shocking to be honest, but you get a lot of food. It was nice to eat inside though I did smell delicious in the end. Lots of variety and there's something for everyone. Definitely check them out!

I'm surprised to see this place below 4 stars!!! This is one of my favorite korean spots in south bay area! Very clean not and no wait when we went (I go here and to the santa clara location), service is fast and they offer complimentary tea that is so good, very earthy I love it.I always get the tofu soon soup here and it's def the top tofu soon soup compared to other korean places I've been to. The seafood pancake here is also really good. Portions are HUGE and can last 1.5 meals! love this place will return!

This was a great restaurant to have our birthday celebrations. I called to make a reservation the same day and when we arrived, they set the tables with four table settings for kids (plastic utensils). We were in their semi private room. Our server was awesome and I wish I got her name. She was patient with us as we asked for drinks, refills on banchans and more entrees. The vegetarian pancake/yachae pajeon was the best I've had. Unlike other Korean restaurants, the pancake they had was fluffy and not thin. We opted for Combo B which came with beef brisket, beef bulgogi, pork belly and yangyum galbi. The serving is good for 3-4 people. We also got japchae and chicken teriyaki. The banchans were a variety and some I've never had, like bean sprout jelly. Our server was attentive and kept checking on our BBQ. None was burnt or she left some of the meats longer like the pork belly to get more crisp. Surprisingly the BBQ odor was minimal and the blower wasn't needed. We left full and satisfied.

This is a long overdue review! My mom fell in love with this place because she had been craving Korean food for a long time. We would order the LA Galbi, Seafood Pajeon, and Seafood Soon Tofu. We all start with a complimentary banchan like kimchi, radish, spinach, and more. LA Galbi- still sizzling with grilled perfection. Not too burnt, not undercooked. You can take the meat right off the bone.Seafood Pajeon- lots of seafood and chives, crispy outside and firm inside Seafood Soon Tofu comes with a raw egg you can crack on your own. It's medium spicy, soft tofu with clams and shrimp. It's great with complimentary rice. It's a bit pricey, yet this place is fancy, clean, and spacious. There's a grill table to grill your meat too. All the waitresses who served us were classy, elegant, and thoughtful, like at a five-star resort restaurant. I also love their K-pop playlist playing in the background. I almost busted out a dance move while holding a spoon, lol.

Ok, Jang Su Jang! I love korean bbq. This location is busy, but not as busy as the one on El Camino. This location, there are more booths for you to sit. We came here with a big party. But, the food was still good and I know what I'm getting. With larger parties, you should make a reservation. It does get busy.

My friends and I visited this place for dinner and we had a great time as we enjoyed the great customer service as well as the delicious food!My part of the table ordered Bibimbap, Kimchi and Beef Soon Tofu, and Deoji Bulgogi. The Tofu Soup was delicious and flavorful and paired well with the tasty Bibimbap that we ordered as well. We accidentally ordered the Pork Bulgogi thinking it was Beef but I was surprised with how well the spiciness added to the flavor of the pork. There were lots of banchan as well!We had a fairly large party but the wonderful workers of this restaurant had no problem seating us as fast as possible as we got a table fairly quick. We were treated with care and respect and it ultimately made the experience even better for us! I will definitely come back to this place whenever I am back in Milpitas!

Jang Su Jang has become our go-to spot whenever we are craving some KBBQ because it's close to home, tastes good and always satisfies our cravings. They're a bit pricier than other KBBQ places we've been to in Santa Clara but worth it for the service and yummy KBBQ. There isn't a long wait when we go. We are given our menus and tea / water after being seated. The restaurant is modern and clean. We always order LA Galbi, soft tofu soup and seafood pancake. We have yet to be disappointed.

Overall (5/5):Jang Su Jang is a standout Korean restaurant that delivers consistently delicious Korean food. With a diverse menu of traditional favorites, it's a spot I recommend for anyone craving Korean comfort food. The portions are generous, and the quality is top-notch, making it well worth the visit. It's also a great place for group dining or a smaller party.Ambiance (4/5):It's not too loud, which makes it perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. The only minor drawback is that it can get a bit crowded during peak times, but it adds to the lively atmosphere.Service (5/5):The staff is friendly and attentive, always ready to offer suggestions or refill banchan (side dishes). Even when the restaurant is busy, the servers maintain a welcoming attitude and ensure the meal is enjoyable from start to finish. The food comes out hot and timely, and they have a wireless ringer so they come as soon as you need them to.Food (5/5):Bibimbap (5/5):A classic done perfectly! The bibimbap is beautifully presented with an assortment of fresh vegetables, a perfectly fried egg, and your choice of protein. The sizzling stone bowl adds a satisfying crispy layer to the rice at the bottom, which is a highlight. The gochujang sauce adds just the right amount of spice and tang. It's hearty, flavorful, and a top tier rice dish.Seafood Pancake (5/5):Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside, this seafood pancake is packed with shrimp, squid, and green onions. It's the perfect appetizer to share or even enjoy as a main. The dipping sauce complements the savory flavors of the seafood, making each bite incredibly satisfying. A must-try if you love seafood dishes.Sundubu (5/5):This soft tofu stew is the ultimate comfort food. Served piping hot with a side of rice, it's rich, spicy, and full of flavor. Perfect for a chilly day or when you're in the mood for something warm and comforting. You can choose your spice level, which is a great option to have.

We were welcomed and seated promptly. It was 5:30pm and the place was kinda empty. Food was decent. We had the $150 combo and you get to choose three types of meat. They served a lot of side/small dishes. Servers refilled empty small plates right away and to the point we had to say no more refills. Seafood pancake was crunchy on the outside with lots of squid/octopus? I am not sure . Tofu soup was okay. And oh, we also love the salad that came with the combo.
