Jalisco Mexican Food

Food was good and the facility was clean. The pricing was good and portion were excellent as well. I would definitely go back to this restaurant as it was very convenient.

My wife and I nicknamed this place "Five Pounds of Cheese." Jalisco's is well, Jalisco's style. Same style Taco Bell copied from Mitla's in San Bernadino. It's an interesting read to look up where this style of Mexican food came from.In a word, absolutely delicious and filling. Hard Shell taco's. Burritos. Enchilada's. All of it good.I haven't been here in a while and I'm due. Think I'll come here tonight for dinner.

2 stars for the homemade flour Tortillas but that's it. This place is not good and I should've known right away by the customer profile. The food was seriously lacking seasoning and flavor. I ordered the Chile Verde with rice and refried beans. The beans tasted like they were from a can and the chile verde had no flavor. Would not go back.

Excellent service for a walk-up counter and solid Mexican food! Bonus points for the free chips and salsa bar with absolutely delicious salsas! We had 2 baskets!I got the enchilada and tostada combo with rice and beans. The enchilada was tasty with a nicely spiced sauce. The tostada was crisp and fresh, but the cheese was a bit low quality. Beans were perfect and yay for vegetarian refried beans! Two things that knocked the score down - Rice was not good, clumpy, and tasteless- Salad on the plate had a sweet dressing (French?) that really took away from the rest of the meal and because it was the same color, I couldn't differentiate enough from the enchilada sauce to remove it I'd definitely come back for a cheap burrito and sit on the patio on a sunny day!

Yes! They were careful to find ouch which type of meat I wanted! The guacamole is really great! A feature I'm sure. My friend I went with told me he's gone here for decades. The fact it's been here for decades validates it's good enough to survive all obstacles! The super burrito is huge , two meals worth! Enjoy. ‍

August 23, 2023, and 9 of us stopped in for dinner. This is the fourth or fifth time that our group has met there for dinner.Each time the food and beverages have been very good and consistently prepared. As you can see from the various pictures, we order quite a selection off of the menu, and everybody has always been happy/satisfied.Personally, I really like the shredded chicken and the Carnitas. For those with allergies, the enchiladas can be ordered with a flour tortilla instead of corn tortilla.

We've been going here for years. Basic Mexican with friendly owner and staff. Great food and margaritas.

Love their Al pastor tacos. Probably some of the best I've had in San Jose! The al pastor tacos got pineapple in them, so it's nice and juicy and sweet!

My wife and I go to Jalisco every other week. We order the same thing every time, she orders the chicken enchiladas and I order the carne asada tacos. We just loved their food.

Really? Canned refried beans and instant rice? That's what it tasted like. Sorry, Jalisco - your salsa and service were great but please don't offer canned beans with melted American cheese on top and expect a happy customer, especially with all the great Mexican places in the area.
