Went here for my Moms 60th. We were determined to not be disappointed. Ambiance- 5/5. Very nice inside, and quiet too. My mom hates noisy places and it was very elegant and cozy inside. Butter Chicken 5/5- OH MY GOD the best Ive had in a long while. Stole the show. Chicken qualify was good. I can see the comment about it being a large fillet instead of smaller pieces but I just cut it. The sauce was spiced perfectly. I ordered mild because I saw someone said it was way too spicy and the mild was just PERFECT. The portion is huge and I was able to split it with family which is great considering it was $27. Will definitely be coming back. Chicken Kebab 4/5- Quality good, spicing not to my liking but that could be just me. Theres better out there. Pass next time. Rice 5/5- I dont usually get rice but the steamed rice is for sure the best accompaniment here. Very pricey at $7. Garlic Basil Paratha- 4/5- tasted a lot like garlic pesto on it. Was a bit sad they dont have naan. Like what kind of Indian place is so fancy that it doesnt even have naan . Get the rice its better. Not worth the value for $7. Beer Menu 5/5 I got a CA Honey and it was amazing. One of the best beer menus and selections Ive seen at indian places. Looks like the typical nice beer menus they have at taprooms. Side note: We saw many family friends we knew there, so that means it must be good! We will definitely be coming back!!

Maybe I missed reading between the lines amongst the fabulous reviews. This place was absolutely awful from the moment I opened the door to enter. Rory or Gory was the point man and called me by someone's name under a different reservation. Before I could speak he let me know he called and I hadn't picked up. Let's get past that. Seated in a strange open air room where everyone was wearing a beanie and a jacket. Not a great sign. Sat for a moment and didn't have service, even the basics like a menu or water. Went inside and inquired about another table. Moved. Y'all get a star for that. I mean, I'm forced to give one so there you go. Food was ordered. Waitstaff give zero f's about the menu or your questions. A glass of Pinot was served and it was vinegar. A single malt ordered to numb the absurdity and that was probably the freshest tasting thing in the room despite the filtered water they drooled into it...The parotta was flatter than your nvm. It was old, flavorless, awful. The lamb/kodagu should be referred to here as "the jerky" and also old or expertly undone and walnut like. The list goes on; too sweet, burnt, bland, awful. The service was so abysmal I felt like I was at an eighth year viewing of some long lost dead human. Honestly the night may have turned out better. The upside is we didn't have to get our jackets since everyone wears them there because it shields you from the climate of hostility, cold, and awful foods. Take care, terrible Indian cuisine in a cluster of fantastic Indian Cuisine.

Definitely recommend the dishes - appetizers, main course and the delicious kulfi dessert. Really enjoyed daal makhni, and potato based veggie appetizers. Friendly staff, welcoming & a lovely ambience. Easy to get reservations.

Upscale Indian restaurant near the Whole Foods, with nice Indian decor. Street parking is tough so parked in the Whole Foods lot and walked. We ordered seafood bhaja platter, butter chicken and chicken parda biryani. The seafood platter was spicy and just the we like it with sea bass, squid and prawns. Chicken parda biryani was ok. Butter chicken was tasty but the chicken pieces are not chunk sized but bigger like fillet size. Kids were disappointed that they don't have naans. Only ghee paratha.Entrees were expensive but portions were large. We ordered virgin mojitos for kids. They were happy. I got Paan ki G-Rita which is a paan based cocktail. Nice taste.Overall expensive place with a few decent tasting items. Hope they will expand their menu to have basic things like butter naan and garlic naan.

We came here for their Business Lunch Menu, and it was okay overall. It felt to me like a typical corporate-outing type of meal...nothing that blew me away, but fine since it's on the company card lol. Nice ambience inside and average service here. For my main dish, the Paneer Makhanwala, I thought the paneer itself was delicious, but the sides on the plate did not make much sense to me. The fresh salad veggies did not mesh with the warm sauce of the overall plate. The appetizers we got were the most interesting of the meal. I didn't particularly love them, but I appreciated the flavorful spice of the cauliflower and the cirtusy, cilantro flavors that went into the Dahi Puri. I did not like the Masala Chai as it was quite watery, but the mango lassi was excellent.

We visited this Indian fine dining restaurant with high expectations, and while it didn't entirely blow us away, there were some highlights. The Do Din Ki Daal was rich and creamy, with a depth of flavor that was impressive. The Parda Murgh Dum Biryani was also a winner, with tender chicken and flavorful rice. Unfortunately, the Basil Garlic Parantha was a letdown - it was a bit chewy and lacked the flaky texture we've come to expect from good paranthas. Cocktails were also a mixed bag- the Spanish Sangria tasted like it was poured from a pre-made batch, lacking the freshness and sparkle we'd expect from a high-end restaurant. The Hefeweizen beer was also just okay, lacking the complexity and nuance of a well-crafted brew. The service was a bit slow but good and the ambiance was top notch.Overall, a solid but not spectacular experience.

such a beautiful aesthetic location as well as good service and delicious food! goan balchao - five pieces of spicy!!! shrimp with mini toasted bread which was a hard and tough to chew. the flavor of the shrimp was still good tho! didn't love that this was $28 for what is waspani batashe - my favorite appetizer esp after the spicy shrimp dish which help calm the spice. the was a burst of flavor from the pani puri water with a nice crunch pardha murgh biryani - deliciously savory with a kick of spice as well! it paired well with the side sauce of sour cream/yogurt as a good neutralizer for the spicy! appreciate our waitress for cutting the bread for us overall good place for high-end elevated indian food with luxury aesthetics which is a good excuse to dress up

I made reservations at Jaks for a party of 30. As soon as I put in my large group request, Michael reached out to me and helped me with all the arrangements.Upon arrival, they were still setting our tables up but did allow us in the private room so we could hang out. We quickly ordered drinks and they came out pretty much right away. Then they started with the appetizers. OMG! So many varieties I didn't know what to eat first. Everything was great!Michael was amazing from the beginning and the staff took really good care of us. We had a great time and will definitely be back again!

I was looking for a place that had chaat! Jaks popped up, so I thought I'd give it a try! When you first walk in the ambience is actually very nice and it's great for a group setting and something a little bit more on the fancier side .The food itself was very beautifully plated. I would say I enjoyed the appetizers more than the entrée so if I came back, I would probably just get the appetizers. The drinks were very good.I'm not sure if it was intended, but what I didn't like was the texture of the paratha used. I like it a little bit more fluffy with more bounce or if they could just have some naan.Service was also very on top of things! Overall, a great experience.
