Jake's of Sunnyvale

I bought a small combo pizza and it was really tasty and so big. In fact it was big enough for two seniors for two meals. I ordered via the website and picked it up in 20 minutes.

Jake's is my family's go to pizza spot! I've been coming here my whole life. The pizza is consistently delicious and the service is great. Our favorite is a mushroom olive pizza with extra cheese. Extra cheese is what makes these pizzas top tier, in my opinion! Alan is so friendly and always nice to chat with, too. Despite it being pretty packed on a Friday night it wasn't too loud or anything. I've never had a bad meal here, and I always look forward to my next visit. Parking can be a bit tricky right now with all the construction so try to carpool if you can!

We decided to get a pizza here and I was a little disappointed. I ordered the garlic chicken pizza and although it came with a ton of toppings, it just wasn't very good. The chicken was large pieces, probably frozen, unseasoned and just tossed on top so they slid right off each slice. The other toppings were mushroom and red bell pepper, neither of which was cooked after its pass through the oven. The crust was thick and doughy. No flavor at all and made each slice feel like you're eating a sandwich. I didn't taste garlic at all and I saw a thin layer of white sauce but given the ratio of crust the pizza was still quite dry. Also I found several pieces of parchment paper on my pizza. Presumably from the baking process. Overall I'm not impressed and would not get pizza here again.

Order at the counter, get a buzzer, and pick up at the far window.**Decor & cleanliness, 5/5** Dark and moody inside, but clean all around. Good for groups!**Price & portion, 5/5** Prices for sandwiches and sides are reasonable. Pizzas are less worth it imo where a large will run you ~$35.**Taste, 5/5** Love the fried zucchini here. Super crunchy, well seasoned, and piping hot! Curly fries are solid as well but the fries zucchini is the winner. Chicken tenders are also solid with a great crunchy layer of breading and the meat isn't dry.**Other notes** This location is currently under construction so it's pretty difficult to find. There's a small side lot and you enter through what looks like a back door.

We love Jake's pizza and usually go to the Saratoga one but this weekend, we found ourselves in Sunnyvale craving pizza. There's quite a bit of construction going on around Jakes, so go past the original front door and enter from the back. Pizza was good but seemed to be drier than usual and not as much toppings. Pizza was still good tho.

This is a review of Jake's medium Garlic Chicken Supreme pizza. Before I start in about their pizza, you need to be aware of their parking situation. There is ongoing construction occurring, so you will park in and enter from the rear. This isn't a problem during the day, however spotting Jake's and their rear parking lot at night can be challenging. The area in back is not well lit, so I advise using a flashlight.The Garlic Chicken Supreme came with generous-sized pieces of white meat chicken (see photo), mushrooms and sliced red bell peppers. I could taste the garlic. All in all, it was pretty satisfying. I ordered takeout without a problem and my pizza was ready on time.

$37 for a medium pizza with artichokes, bacon, sausage, & mushrooms? Actually, this was a pretty good value for the money as a medium is more like a large. Was it good? No. The crust was crunchy but had no live yeasty taste. It was more like a store bought frozen pizza. The toppings were outstanding! The marinara sauce was way too sweet. My partner had to wait an extra 20 minutes for the take out order as they had a "malfunction." What? How is this possible in tech-savvy Silicon Valley? Since this was a pick up delivery, I can't comment on the ambiance. I'm surprised that there are so many positive reviews in the SF Bay Area as this is such a foodie-centric place!

Dined in for lunch yesterday. The pizza is dependably tasty, but the quantity of toppings was a bit skimpy. Unfortunately this is becoming ever more commonplace. Nevertheless if you like a quality primarily cheese pizza, then you will be totally satisfied.

My family has been going here for years. But over the past 2 years the quality of the pizza has not been good. The crust is very inconsistent. Sometimes it tastes like cardboard and sometimes it's very tough. I think they are using frozen crust now. I usually always order to go. About 9 times out of 10 the pizza is missing a topping or two. When I let them know the next time I'm in there they are very unfriendly. The customer service is very poor and they don't seem to care. They draw a large crowd because it's a place for sports teams to gather after games. If you eat in the restaurant, the place is always loud with kids running all over inside and out in the parking lot. There is construction that's been going on for 2 years in the area so the parking lot is dirt and NO lighting at night. Very unsafe and very limited parking. After going here for 25+ years, I won't be going back. I have communicated my concerns to the manager on 2 different occasions and nothing has changed.
