I LOVE IZUMI MATCHA!1!1!1Try: crème brûlée matcha drink and the matcha soft serve i recently moved to SoCal and haven't found anywhere else that can compare to the crème brûlée matcha drink. Every time I come back to visit the bay this is the non-negotiable go to comfort drink. If you're visiting from out of town or just looking for a some matcha diversity, I would highly recommend coming here to try their drinks. The line can be long but don't let that discourage you because the line does move at a steady pace. They don't have any indoor seating but there are a couple tables outside if you want to stay with your drinks/frozen yogurt. They also have a cute collection of smithskis & labubus at the front right where they dust your drinks/soft serve with matcha!

I'm not a matcha fan but these were delicious drinks and probably more so if you like matcha. The line was long but once you get in the shop and order on the one kiosk there, your drinks are ready in 5 minutes. There are chairs and tables in the courtyard and they are not specific to Izumi Matcha but it gets pretty crowded so good luck. I ordered the strawberry yuzu matcha with an extra free shot of matcha. It seemed like a better deal for $6.95. The matcha brûlée was good too, very thick and frosty, kind of like a crème' brûlée. I wouldn't go out of my way for matcha, but if I was here, I may order a drink again.

Glad I waited awhile before coming here because the line can be super long!Waited about 20 mins from line to receiving my drinks. The drinks? Very very good. They use high quality, ceremonial grade matcha and their delicious salted cream was amazing. They only have one ordering kiosk so the line moves a little slow. But once you put your order in, you get your drink pretty fast. Excellent alternative to boba if you want a sweet drink post lunch or dinner.

NORMALIZE GATEKEEPING!! With all the social media hype, lines are abhorrently long but dare I say that Izumi lived up to the hype Getting to the plaza close to closing time on a Tuesday night, I was surprised by the line that stretched to the door. Surprisingly, the establishment did not close until 8:30 pm with the worker handing out a "last customer sign" and I suspect because of the continuously long lines. Bless these poor workers hearts for working endlessly to make these drinks - we thank you for your service. We waited ~20 minutes. The establishment boasts one kiosk to take orders from which contributes to the ever growing line. Luckily, you can look at the menu on the counter prior to arriving at the kiosk. We ordered a matcha honey latte, cheese foam hojicha and matcha tea. We were amazingly greeted by an option to add a FREE EXTRA MATCHA SHOT! Say no more. As an avid matcha fan, you are 100% correct in assuming I took that (and may or may not have paid the price by not being able to sleep after). Definitely recommend the matcha honey latte and cheese foam hojicha! I could tell from first sip that these were made with quality teas. My friend's matcha tea was alright but given that im not the biggest fan of straight matcha teas. The prices were also pretty standard (~$6/7) for a matcha/tea establishment. Conclusion: this matcha fan will return but most likely on a weekday day or late at night to avoid any soul-sucking lines!!

I still love the efficiency of this location. One line in to order and another line for pick up. I didn't catch it before but there are toppings for drinks you'll just need to scroll down.

There was quite a line when we came in the afternoon around 3pm. The line was out the door. You order at the kiosk then pick up at the counter. I was impressed by the rich green color of the matcha. Strawberry yuzu matcha was good. Also tried their matcha soft serve in a cup. Soft served was very creamy and delicious.

I went to this location with my sister and there was a really long line right when they opened. I would suggest coming here when you have time to wait because we were in line for 30 mins or more. I got the strawberry matcha latte and ended up mixing it before I took a picture. The strawberry matcha latte tastes like the strawberry cold foam with matcha drink at Starbucks. If you like that then I would suggest getting this drink. I'm not a big matcha fan but I really liked this drink! I would definitely come again and wait in the line. There is sitting outside where you can enjoy your drinks and desserts they have. They have a quick and easy ordering process through the kiosk. For the drink I would give it 10/10!

We came here after hiking at Rancho nearby. We waited in line for about 40 minutes before we were finally able to order our drinks. The drinks were prepared very quickly, but they could definitely add a few more ordering kiosks so that customers don't need to wait such a long time to order. I got the matcha tea with sea salt cream cheese foam - it was good, but I kind of wish it had milk in the drink as well. I think I prefer Maruwu Seicha over Izumi.

The lines here are really long! But the staff works really hard to keep it moving and get orders out fast. The drinks themselves are pretty good. My goto order is the strawberry matcha and it tastes the same at both locations so I was very happy! Izumi delivers on some of the yummiest matcha drinks in south bay!

Boy was this place packed! Every time I visit the plaza, there seems to be a never ending line, and I'm realizing now it's bc they only use a single kiosk for drink and soft serve orders. If you live in Milpitas or between SJ and Alum Rock, I would just go to the Silver Creek Rd location to avoid the line. Cheaper matcha tin options were out of stock most of the time.DRINK:*Matcha latte (hot) -- I've had this iced, but my favorite has to be the hot version because you get a more potent matcha flavor. Nice layer of foam across the surface as well and the cup keeps the drink hot for a good while. 75% sweetness was super yummy for me.(Only downside for the cold version is that they give a lot of ice even if I choose less ice, which waters everything down and doesn't feel worth the $$. This is pretty common for boba/drink shops, though, so oh well.*Matcha soft serve -- Not pictured, but I've tried this at the Silver Creek Rd location and it was so good. Definitely a step up from Somi Somi's matcha soft serve. Izumi's flavor is stronger!SERVICE:Just an in and out experience. There are a few tables outside, but those get filled quickly. The shop is pretty small, hence the long line just to order.PARKING:Parking is rough in this plaza, even on weekdays. You can try around the side of Hui Lau Shan during lunch hour. Otherwise, you may need to walk a bit.
