Love the ambience!!! I feel like I'm in tokyo! Food overall was delicious! We ordered so much - my favorite is the chicken cartilage, heart & gizzard. Wait time was super short! Will be coming back soon!

Had dinner with a friend here on a Saturday night around 5:40pm. We joined the wait-list and was 2nd in line. We waited about 20 minutes before being seated. Since it was our first time here, the waitress was courteous and explained how to order and that there is a warmer for our skewers if we needed it. She also checked if we had any food allergies.When we placed our order, some popular items were sold out already. We ordered several skewers and shared. Each and every skewer was perfectly grilled (not overcooked) and the meat was tender. My personal favorite was the combo 7. It's a good mix and variety of skewers.There is street parking or a parking structure nearby.

Plus one star for the service and one of the wagyu skewers was good but everything else was completely overcooked and done wrong. The ambiance is nice and music is good

Wow. One of the best restaurants in San Mateo. Rivals Mokutanya for sure. I definitely had my doubts but I had to come see it for myself. Julia the waitress was super helpful with our suggestions and she was very friendly and attentive. The ambiance is date night a hunnin and also for friends gatherings. They have a second floor and the decor is instagrammable. But the FOOD is where it's at. FIRE. 10/10. Must Try for the price. Great deal all around~

I haven't had skewers in a while and a friend recommended this spot to me so here I am. Ordering here is pretty simple. They give you a QR code in which you can submit your order. I ordered the Yakitori Lucky Combo, pineapple wagyu w/rose salt pepper, Hokkaido scallop w/hokkaido uni on top, and the kamo (duck breast). All of the skewers were amazing. My favorite had to be the yakitori lucky combo. The assort of textures from each skewer was just immaculate. The service here was pretty good also. My server was very kind and attentive. The restaurant from the outside looks small but when you go inside there is both upstairs and downstairs seating. And the place is nicely designed. Surprisingly the place wasn't busy which is surprising because the skewers here are pretty good lol.Definitely recommend checking this spot out if you haven't already. Try it out if you like. :)

Came here after my birthday spa massage with the Hubby. And to Our delight.. we fell in love with the food here. Such a cute little space too. Friendly and attentive staff. Casual and not uptight. And they open late! I'm already a huge fan of Yakatori so this is right up my alley. Will be bringing the rest of the family next time for sure!

Great meal. Recommend. Crispy vegetables. One of the best skewers that I have ever tried.

At first I thought there was only a downstairs area, but we were brought to the 2nd level. The upstairs area was cute and good choice of music in the background. There were a few items unavailable, but the food we did order were delicious!

The udon here is stupid good man. Rest of the food was delicoussss too. Restauraunt is small an v vibey and cute. The upstairs area is very romantic too and has a good view at night

The skewers were good. I liked the chicken thighs with salt. I also enjoyed the eggplant. Also the tea was good.
