I was driving to work when I saw a new food truck I haven't seen before, and I got excited because it was my home food! I went and told everyone on the team that a new truck was here and whether we wanted to try. Some of us even already brought lunch but we were okay with saving that for later to taste some South Indian food, especially made with millets so it's healthier! Usually you use rice and daal, so millets gives the effect similar to brown rice where it has better nutrients and fills you up healthier than regular or brown rice. The beach sundal is a must try! It's pretty simple, yet tastes so flavorful. Right amount of tart, masala, and the crushed poori, fresh onion, and cilantro add to the flavor! The dosas tasted pretty similar to regular dosas, which was such a huge plus and means it's made really well! The chutneys and sambar also tasted super authentic, where the sambar was just a tad too watery to my liking. Very home style tasting and not unhealthy. The pongal was interesting and where you can tell the millets the most, and it tasted pretty authentic as well. I think this is a must try if you like healthy South Indian food and want to try a new food truck in the neighborhood. I think this will gain great traction!

I'd had my eye on trying this place and their beach sundal for a while, given I'm from Chennai and I'd been having beach sundal ever since I was a kid at Marina beach! I had also heard quite a bit from my friends about them and had been following the instagram stories from their owner! This review is only for the beach sundal as I haven't tried other dishes - but look forward to.I must say it was delicious and extremely flavorful. To be it was more like Ragda, topped with some puri. Portion size was also good. I deducted a star because I think it could have a little more peas and was a little to the watery side. Plus I wouldn't say it was 100% authentic because the usual beach sundal is generally on the dry side. But that might have been a conscious choice. Will be back soon to try the rest of their menu. Interestingly, they had mats laid down near the truck and people were seated on the mats having their food - different!

I have a thing for food trucks, and saw their reels on insta, my friends from the Midwest are jealous of me in the bay area, wow we get healthy Indian food truck options! One of a kind, loved it! I'm on a mission- gonna try all they have on the menu. I drove twice 30 minutes in to try this place. Loved their millet dosa, Sambar and chutneys last week- finger licking yum. And today stopped by to try their cute heart millet idlies and veg kurma- also filling and tasty! Did you know - healthy can taste amazing, and nothing close to boring! The warm millet sweet was the cherry on top! Bomb dot com. Must try spot!

I recently visited the House of Tiffins food truck, and I'm so glad I did! Their entire menu is made with healthy millets, which is a great twist on traditional South Indian dishes. I started with the Mysore Masala Millet Dosai, which was crispy and flavorful, and the Millet Box--a perfect combination of millet idlis, pongal, and a sweet treat. What I loved most was that the food wasn't too spicy, making it enjoyable for all palates.I also appreciated their eco-friendly approach, which is commendable and aligns with sustainable living. To top it all off, I had their authentic filter coffee, which was rich and delicious--my absolute favorite!I can't wait to come back and try more items from their millet-based menu! Highly recommend for those looking for a healthy and flavorful meal.

Very impressed with everything we ordered. My husband found this place when looking for something healthier to eat. South Indian cuisine is amazing but can lean heavier on the carbs. Replacing rice with millets is great, but it is very difficult to get the consistency and taste right. This place figured it out and a way to do it in scale. The idlis and dosas tasted better than rice ones. Kudos to the women, it is women-owned. We ordered Millet Box, Millet Mysore Masala Dosa, Coffee. Everything was mild and reminded of home-cooked meals. First off the coconut chutney was just perfect! Dosa smeared with the onion chutney tasted great! Great consistency. Sambar was done right without the overpowering sambar powder, again homestyle. Special mention for the sweet that came with the Millet box, it is the best thing that I have eaten in a while. Made with jaggery, had the right amount of sweetness. Reminded me of the chakkara pongali that is served in South Indian temples as prasad. Coffee is amazing too, must try! Great service, the owner is very cordial and was interested in our feedback to offer the best. Inspiring to see them do all the right things, healthy meals, compostable plates and tableware. The best part is that you can keep coming to this truck, to eat this healthy homestyle food!

A women-owned food truck serving millet idlis, dosas, and other tiffin items across South Bay apartment communities, with updates on location available through social media. We tried the Beach Sundal, Millet Idli, and Millet Andhra Karam Dosa. Beach Sundal: Mild and flavorful, reminiscent of Marina Beach in Madras. Our favorite of the three items, and reasonably priced at $6.49. Millet Idli: Heart shaped idlies were served lukewarm with coconut chutney, tomato chutney, and sambar. While the chutneys were decent and the sambar was tasty. Hot idlis would've elevated the experience, even if it meant waiting a bit longer. Millet Andhra Karam Dosa: This fell short for us. The dosa tasted bland and lacked the flavors usually associated with an Andhra Karam dosa. It might be due to the millet base, but there's definitely room for improvement.Overall, the food was homely & simple- perfect for a weekday meal when you're in the mood for non-oily, home-style food.

Disappointed in taste! Tried the millet masala dosa and special millet box containing millet idli, millet Pongal and millet sweet. Masala dosa was the most disappointing with barely any flavour in potato filling, it was dry, bland and unseasoned to say the least. Sambhar and chunteys were good. Yes, everything is millet but won't go again for the taste. When asked about which millets were used, the server wasn't able to give clear answers. Filter coffee was good. The gas station has limited parking which could be an issue during weekends. Cannot expect much in terms of ambience for a gas station parking lot.
