House of Pho

The food is pretty good. We went there many times. It's not super special, but it's traditional Vietnamese food.Service is OK. Sometimes it gets busy

I've been eating at House of Pho for probably 20 years. First was up in Belmont/Foster city location off 101. Then I moved to Campbell and would drive to Almaden in evening traffic on 85 just to eat here (nice people they always remember us). I was so happy when the one on Camden opened. The last 4 years there has been a steep decline. Not the same staff or maybe owners, as before. I echo what the other diners have said. Service is very rude. No "Hello" when I barely reached the door the lady shouted "How many" then threw our menus on the table and walked off. Then when it was time to place order she just stood over our table and stared. No "what can I get for you" or "what would you like" . We said "thank you" to her and the other staff so MANY times. Not once did they reply!!! And in case you're wondering we speak English, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Any language would have been fine. The food was gross!! The rice tasted like it had been stored with formaldehyde. I'm not exaggerating. Is was very chemical tasting. I don't trust the ingredients here. I will never Door dash or especially eat here in person again. My family was treated worse than a dog. Train your staff!!

One of our ( my husband and I) go to Vietnamese restaurants. Never disappoints. We have been so many times. During the pandemic we always sat outside. My husband usually gets the chicken with vegetables ( you get alot of veggies) or pho. I usually get the bun with grilled pork and egg rolls( sorry- no picture). All very tasty. We also like the Three Color bean with coconut milk dessert. Service is usually pretty fast.

Hit the spot! No wait time, quick service, and good pho! Everything you'd expect from an authentic restaurant. Hot bowls of savory pho. Loved it!

Ok so far we just got here and first impression is good super clean nicely lit and super friendly so far the gentleman who sat us down helped us out with what to order because we are relatively new to the pho scene lol.Food is also pretty good definitely a hit

The service was the best part of this place. Sadly, we had to take our food to go b/c they wouldn't seat us within 30 min of them closing. Lady was kind though. Placed our order and ate in the car. A plus though, is that they have a good amount of vegetarian options clearly listed in their menu! The food itself was nothing special. Had the vegetarian pho and veggie egg rolls. I goofed and asked for egg noodles as well which I absolutely do not recommend. In general, I just don't think they are good in pho. Always get the rice noodle anywhere! The pho itself was very ok but nothing memorable and despite being super hungry, it wasn't satiating. The egg rolls were not bad but not that flavorful either. If I did return, I would try the veggie rice dishes instead of pho. Did like that every table had the full stock of sriracha, hoisin, and accompanying sauces, spices. Small but cute interior. Overall, wouldn't return.

This place is always busy, and for good reason! Food is fresh and prepared quickly. The quality of ingredients is outstanding and the staff is accommodating. If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese food, give this place a try; you'll love it!!

I had a really good meal here!Ordered the veggie pho and veggie spring rolls. My order was ready so quickly, and the food was fresh and really delicious. Very fresh veggies. Generous portions as well!Definitely a very casual ambiance.Will absolutely be back!

There really is nothing wrong to say about the House of Pho. I would recommend this place if you're looking for pho, spring rolls (fresh or fried), or even a traditional Asian dish with rice. They have an extensive menu, service is FAST, and even when there is a wait (sometimes they get pretty packed, cause they're so popular!), they move things along pretty quickly. This place is one of my go-tos and my favorite. Parking is never an issue (they have their own lot), and if you don't want to eat there, you can order takeout too! I usually get the seafood egg noodle soup, and it's my favorite! I also got the Thai iced tea cause I needed something sweet to balance and the saltiness of the soup (just the right amount of sodium!), and it was a yummy meal. I also had extra, so I was able to take that time and enjoy it later.I appreciate the quick service, the casual ambiance and arrangement of booths, chairs and tables, and outdoor seating as well. This is a place where families can eat together - or if you're eating solo, it's a great spot, or a place to check out with a friend for a weekday dinner. Definitely recommend!

This place is getting worse! Soup tastes like MSG with water. The older lady was serving us was so bad. She acted like we were her naughty kids and then when I went to pay she changed me wrong 3 times. We won't come back.
