We spent a few hours at House Family Vineyards on Sunday afternoon. What a view!! I was astounded at the beauty. It was a mini vacay day. Felt like Tuscany or something... Not like 10 minutes from downtown Saratoga. A world away... We had a tasting and enjoyed all the wines, but especially the GM, so we purchased a bottle and stayed a while to drink some while soaking in the ambiance. We ordered a charcuterie plate to munch on and it was very good. Would recommend it. We had friendly and knowledgeable service at House Family Vineyards and will definitely add it to the list of wineries to recommend!

I love this place. $25 tasting flight is good enough to get me refreshed and tipsy. I like a lot of the fruity notes in their wines. Perfect for a summer day! Gorgeous views of the mountains. Friendly staff. P.s. It's an outdoor only space and it's a very small area. Nothing fancy. But really cozy and beautiful.

My group of 3 wanted to do a casual and local wine tasting in South Bay and came across this spot. We made a reservation for Saturday afternoon and had no wait to get settled but learned that the seating was first come first serve for parties in the same reservation batch. There was ample parking but most of the spots were up a hill past the main seating area, so coming down was a breeze but it was a (very) mini hike back up haha. Once you check in at the "front", we were able to order what we wanted. We each got their flight and a charcuterie board to share. The flight was nicely priced ($20 for 5 wines) but the charcuterie board was underwhelming in our opinion. The presentation was just in a plastic to go box, which didn't seem to match the vibe and aesthetic of the place. Nonetheless, the variety of cheeses and meats were decent, and you get a baguette with it as well. Overall the experience was pleasant and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The view was also stunning - just wish we got to sit at a table that faced the view directly. I'd recommend this place and would come back, just wouldn't get their board again.

Wine is not bad. View is fantastic, serene. The temporary outdoors setup seems a bit pop-up ish, but not bad, plenty of shade provided.Service is not great. The server was polite, but completely antisocial. I actually had some questions, but he would give a scripted intro to each pour and basically run away, barely making eye contact. Strange for working this job.. Charcuterie could be presented better instead of all stuffed into a cardboard box, probably also temporary till they figure out the permit stuff.Hope to try again when the indoor tasting room opens again, hopefully with some more social, jovial employees.

House Family Vineyard is a nice spot where you can get some decent wine with a beautiful view. Shortly after you enter the gates you'll see their hillside patio seating that affords a view of a hillside with nice houses and their personal vineyards the entrance doesn't afford any view of House's own facilities or vineyard so it almost feels like a pop up of sorts (along with portable bathrooms). $25 for a flight of five or $20 a glass so maybe worth a membership if you come often.

Food - the charcuterie board was lackluster. There was no thought behind it. It's served in a cardboard box and crackers are given in a paper bag. Not worth the price. Definitely unfortunate you can't bring your own food. Service - we were served by one individual. I cannot remember his name but he only gave us 4 out of the 5 tastings. It took 2 members of our party asking time for the fifth tasting. They were adamant they had already given us all 5 but we were able to name all 4 of the ones we had received and the one that was missing. When he finally agreed to give it, he showed up to our table, poured the wine, and said nothing. Seems like he had no interest in selling or serving wine. Would definitely not come back. The wine was definitely not worth it. Views - 10/10

Great winery overall. Beautiful view, shaded outdoor seating, charcuterie and cheese offered, great wines. Nothing bad to say aside from having to use porta potties. Depending on the weather, it can get hot since it is outdoor seating only. Flight of 5 wines for $20, 2 whites and 3 reds. Decent sized pours. Everyone thought that all 5 were good, which is rare. They don't waive tasting fees unless you become a member which is a 3 bottle purchase. Service was good. Reservations only. Parking along the side of the road

We had a tasting for 4. The setting was nice, however our server was very short on wine descriptions, no extra info or wine or winery history, etc. I'm reluctant to post bad reviews, but this is an exception. the pours were almost unbelievably small. No offer to bring water to our table, ( even half way through our flight of wines) although other tables had waters poured for them. The wines were nice, service very disappointing.See the photo to see a very small pour.

My wife and I have had the opportunity to go to House Family Vineyards a number of times, of which once was for a wedding. The location and the views are beautiful. There is a little walk from the parking area to the tasting area but it's not bad. There is both an outdoor and an indoor seating area. We have always sat outside to take in the view. Seating is first come first served. I would recommend that you eat before you come because their food selection is very very limited. We have had a number of their wines and the Cab and the Pinot were our favorites but overall their wines are just ok.The staff has always taken good care of us. It can get chilly depending on the time of year. They do have heat lamps but it would be wise to bring something to keep you warm just in case. This is a great spot to meet up with friends, relax and have some good conversation while taking in the view over a glass of wine or two.

I understand House has had to change their location and way of operating but our tasting experience today was awful! We paid $30 each tasting! The server couldn't be bothered to be kind or bother to explain each wine she poured! No hint of trying to get us to enjoy any of the wines, each taste wasn't enough to even get our taste buds wet! Such slight pours! Never seen such horrible service at a "family" winery! They need to update their website photos as well, the food comes in a small box, not on a big tray! Highly disappointed in our server- Sunday afternoon server not a smile to be seen! I even asked for a bit more of the Rose, so I could actually taste it (I was hoping to buy a bottle) she said I could at the end- buy a glass! Then didn't ask. I don't even think this experience deserves a single star!
