Hooz Donuts

FOOD:The donuts are sooooo good! I love their Ube donut. The classics are delicious too! I've gotten their breakfast croissant a few times and it's solid. SERVICE:10/10 Always friendly and prompt. NOTE:Seating is limited to maybe 3-4 tables. This is not a place I would hunker down and study at. I'd suggest you grab your delicious treats and head out.

There are donut places that are open 24 hours then most of them close in the early afternoon. But we were looking for donuts after dinner and saw that Hooz donuts is open until 8 pm!We grabbed an apple fritter to go. It did seem when we stopped by around 7 pm, there wasn't a huge selection. The apple fritter was really good at tasted fresh. We will have to come back earlier in the day for more options.The parking in this huge complex was easy.

I can't believe I haven't been here sooner! It was my first time in the plaza and Hooz caught my eye, since I have a soft spot for mom & pop donut places. I popped in and was greeted with a smile, and cases full of donuts! I only got 2 regular glazed donuts but wish I got more!!! These donuts were so FLUFFY, which made it unique to other place's donuts I've had! I was given an extra 2 donut holes too which I thought was sweet. They have an extensive menu of sandwiches too, which I'll have to try next time I come to visit. The store workers/owners were great to chat with as well, I'm impressed and so glad they've kept the shop open for so many years! Definitely coming back soon to support :)

I was craving for some donuts and was looking around for a local place nearby. Hooz is in the Curtner plaza tucked away behind the thrift store near by. The owner was super friendly. I got a dozen donut holes and 2 glazed donuts. I was half expecting these to be a typical donut but these were much more fluffier than you'd expect. It had the right balance of sweetness to dough.If you are South San Jose and are craving some donuts for an affordable price and friendly service, give Hooz Donuts a visit. You won't be disappointed.

Run don't walk to Hooz. Local shop, super friendly you feel like you're part of the shop. Recently expanded to sandwiches too - so why go to the McDonald's or anywhere else.They always ask your name and they remember it the next time. Super friendly local shop. My go to shop now. My son looks forward to how happy the people are here.

I visited Hooz Donuts on a Friday morning and was greeted by warm smiles from staff and the enticing aroma of their scrumptious donuts. My intent was to just get a donut for breakfast but I ended up grabbing a dozen as I could not resists. Hooz Donuts reminds me of the donut shop my grandfather use to take me to and it brought such nostalgia. Can't wait to visit Hooz Donuts again.

Great neighborhood donut spot! Friendly customer service (super quick too), and great donuts.My favorite are the French crullers and old fashioned - he threw in a few donut holes too which is so sweet. I was only gonna get a half dozen but I wanted to try them all so I got a mixed dozen ($16.99 with some upcharges for speciality donuts like apple fritter).No fuss, great donut shop in the Almaden area. There's some seating here but most people were grabbing a box of donuts for the morning. I'd recommend coming in early so you get your pick of your favorites. Parking is easy which is always a plus.

Amazing donuts when I ate them they were freshly made and have a good taste I would recommend if you haven't visited

My new favorite donut place!Tried some of the seasonal ones like pumpkin spice and ube and they were amazing. They even had vegan donuts that were just as good, and I usually hate vegan stuff.Plus this place is family owned and they were super nice. Definitely recommend!
