This place has probably some of the best and most authentic Cantonese cuisine in the South Bay. We always order their honey walnut shrimp, they put just the right amount of sauce on it and the dish doesn't feel overly heavy which I really like. I also really like getting the salt and pepper fried fish here, it comes out really crispy and is very flavorful. You also cannot go wrong with any of the stir-fried items here, all of them have good wok hei which is a must with stir fries. The black pepper beef here is especially good. Service can be a little slow on busy nights, but they're very friendly and attentive. The interior is also nice and open, it's a good place to come for large family dinners. Parking is a little limited but it's very easy to find street parking around. Definitely give this place a try if you're looking for some good Cantonese food.

Dined in with a few friends and had a good lunch. The restaurant is spacious and clean and bright, quite pleasant. Parking is limited, we were there about 11:40am and were able to park in their lot. Otherwise street parking would've to be found.Service was nice and friendly. We were served free chicken feet soup at the beginning and sweet sliced oranges at the end. We ordered Salt and Pepper Fish Fillet, Grilled Beef Fillet with Mixed Mushrooms and Tofu, Fish Fillet and Tofu Clay Pot, Seafood Chow Mein, and Stir Fried Sticky Rice with Chinese Sausage.Food was delicious and portions were generous. Prices were actually quite reasonable considering how most restaurants have raised their prices by quite a bit after the pandemic.

3691 El Camino Real, Palo Alto, CA 94306"Hong Kong Restaurant" is a large and spacious restaurant that serves Cantonese-style food in Palo Alto, CA. I was there for the first time with a Yelp Elite friend around 12-noon on a chilly Saturday. It's a nice restaurant, very clean and neat. Lots of servers and staff. We got a table off to the side, and was quickly offered menus and hot tea. We had originally planned on ordering a crab, but instead ordered a chicken entree. We ordered:- Hainan Chicken, Whole, $32.95- Crab and Fish Maw Soup, $17.95- Tomato & Beef Chow Mein, +Hong Kong Style, $14.95 + $1 extraService was very attentive and timely. The food came out quickly. In general, the food was good. My friend and I both thought the Tomato & Beef Chow Mein was great and very well prepared. However, I thought the Hainan Chicken was a bit small for the price. The Crab & Fish Maw soup was like Egg Drop Soup that was loaded with bits of crab and fish maw. There's two restrooms. The one I used was very clean and well stocked. Parking was a bit limited. On that day, parking was on allowed along El Camino Real. Later, I noticed drivers ignoring the "no parking" signs, and went ahead and parked along El Camino Real. Would I return? Yes, this place serves familiar dishes I like. I hope to return very soon.

Came here on Christmas after getting a massage down at Happy Feet and we are a fan!The staff is friendly and polite, apologizing for the slow food service. They had a lot of to go orders. We had half an order of duck, salted fish chicken eggplant and Hokkien fried rice. The duck was small but very tender. The eggplant was delicious but drowning in oil. The hokkien fried rice was yummy with really good gravy but missing the black color from straw mushrooms that are usually in this dish. Overall very pleased with our visit. $60 after tax for 3 dishes.

Mad tasty and authenticActually good Chinese food. Meat is plentiful and tender. Veggies are fresh. Hot and sour soup - sour and a little bit of funk from the black vinegar, excellentBeef, scallops, and string beans - excellentBeef chow fun - excellentSeafood and tofu clay pot - excellentPea sprouts - excellent, like the white sauceFried crab - tasty, but not enough meat and hard to eat - skip this oneoh ya, and service leaves something to be desired. They basically started vacuuming around us at closing and then booted us out. Exactly what I expect from a place that has good Chinese food. 5/5

I had the best Peking duck and salt and pepper pork here! I've been to several Chinese restaurants in the area since moving here, and this is a hidden gem. The flavors are authentic, the portions are huge, and the prices are more than reasonable. I highly recommend coming here for a great meal!

They recently updated their menu and it's a lot more attractive! There seems to be more dishes and the photos look tempting. Noticed some new faces but service quality is still good. The waiting area after you enter is still the same which can get rather congested and tough to navigate even for customers who are exiting. But overall a good value restaurant with decent Chinese food!

I first came here before Covid when a co-worker kept bringing back his food to the office and I commented on how delicious his lunch smelled. He knew that I liked egg rolls and he would bring me an order every time he went. I went with him the first time and it was a great experience. It was close by, they served great portions, really great prices and you can sit down in a comfortable setting. I kept coming back. Flash forward and COVID hit, no longer working at the office, then the shelter in place lifted, life resuming back to our new/old normal and having to go back to the office. I kept meaning to come back but it was always one thing after another that I couldn't. Finally, after work, my friend and I decided to come here since we wanted a no fuss sit down restaurant. We got very lucky that we found a parking spot, one of 3?? Parking is not easy. We arrived before the dinner crowd and I can't imagine what we would have done if we had come back later. Most likely we would have given up and gone elsewhere. Street parking was full as well. The restaurant is on El Camino, easy to find. It looks a lot smaller on the outside but there is plenty of seating and spaced in such a way that you don't feel like you are next to the other seated parties. My friend and I were able to catch up and have a great conversation without shouting or feeling like everyone was listening to us. It seems that ownership has changed and prices are less than other restaurants in the area but more than they were. To me this was the ultimate value in the past with their price and portion size and also catered to the sit down crowd. Many food deliveries were picked up while we were there. Service was standard, get our order, bring our food. I enjoyed the seafood chow main, the egg rolls were okay, I remember them being so much better. Most likely I will skip getting the egg rolls next time.I really wish the parking situation was better. I think if that was the case the restaurant would get more customers and people would be more inclined to stop by. Since it is what it is...I just have to plan my outing if I want to eat here.

The overall rating is only considering food, not the service or priceMy opinions:- Honey Walnut Shrimp: (9/10 - Great) - The breading is light, and the size/amount of shrimp is great. It also comes with the mayo on the side so that can be moderated.- Peking Spare Ribs: (8/10 - Very Good)- BBQ Pork Fried Rice: (8/10 - Very Good)- Sweet and Sour Chicken: (7/10 - Good) - This would have been an 8 if the breading wasn't as soggy. Good flavors though - Sesame Chicken: (7/10 - Good) - Came with broccoli, which I appreciated- BBQ Pork: (6/10 - Fine) - I really wanted to like this more on its own, but I think the honey is not well distributed enough. It's great in the BBQ Pork Fried Rice, but doesn't stand up as well on its own- Cashew Chicken: (6/10 - Fine) - Came with veggies and wasn't too fried or oily. I wouldn't want to eat it all the time, but it was a healthier choiceWife's opinions:- Honey Walnut Shrimp: (9/10 - Great)- Peking Spare Ribs: (7/10 - Good) - Sauce is good, breading too thick, better than Panda Express- Sweet and Sour Chicken: (7/10 - Good)- Sesame Chicken: (7/10 - Good)- Cashew Chicken: (5/10 - Average)- Oxtail Stew: (3/10 - Very Bad) - Fat not rendered enough. Meat was toughSon's opinions:- Soy Sauce Chicken: ("Panda" - 4/10) - But he would get it again...Other notes:- Usually get this as takeout- They are very, very crowded during Lunar New Year
