We were curious about this place and were able to grab a reservation for dinner omakase. The interior was spacious for the number of seats. Ken took care of our table and he was pleasant and accommodating. He expertly presented each dish as they came out. Our cups were constantly refilled throughout the night. The food was all-star. Each dish was fun for the eyes to take in and we enjoyed them all.It took about 1.5 hours altogether. We had a lovely time and would go back.

The dining experience at Hiroshi was impressive overall, but not as perfect as I expected. The restaurant's environment design is simple and modern, the atmosphere is relatively elegant, but there is not much special, giving people a standard high-end dining experience. In terms of service, the staff's attitude is friendly, but the service speed is a bit slow, especially during peak hours, and they fail to fully keep up with customer demandRegarding the omakase experience, the dishes are indeed fresh, and the scallops and chutoro snacks are particularly outstanding. I was impressed by the delicate taste and delicious flavor. However, despite the high quality of the ingredients, the overall combination and innovation are slightly conservative, and the taste level and presentation of some dishes did not bring me too many surprisesThe wagyu-centric menu is indeed part of my expectations, but it was not as amazing as I imagined. Although the meat is delicious, the overall flavor performance is relatively ordinary, lacking some exquisite presentation or unique cooking techniques, which makes it not stand out from other similar restaurantsOverall, Hiroshi is a restaurant suitable for those who pursue fresh ingredients and classic omakase experience, but it lacks in creativity and polishing of details. If the restaurant can improve the innovation of dishes and service efficiency, the overall experience will be better

A Terrible Omakase ExperienceThis was probably the worst Omakase experience of my life. The four of us had a reservation at 5:30 PM, but its our fault we arrived 15-20 minutes late. We started eating at 5:50 PM, thinking we could still enjoy a high-quality meal. Unfortunately, it felt more like we were being rushed through a timed event .The overall taste was overly salty, and shockingly, I found some fish bone in one of the sashimi dishes. At first, I thought it was just me had bad luck, but then my friends also found some . What made things even worse was how much the waiter rushed us. At 6:30 PM, the waiter started reminding us that the next seating was at 7:30 PM. By 6:50 PM, while we were still eating dessert, they told us we had to finish by 7:00 PM. I understand they need prepare and clean the table for the next one . but why start pushing guests out a full 30 minutes early? It completely ruined the dining experience. After paying, we stepped outside the restaurant and noticed a beautiful vase. We wanted to take a couple of pictures, but the same waiter was incredibly rude and outright told us to leave. For a restaurant that charges $350 per person, this level of service is unacceptable. The food was not impressive, and finding fish bone in the sashimi was a huge letdown.the service was terrible, and the overall experience was awful. Definitely not worth the price, and I would never recommend it to anyone.

I ordered the 2024 Holiday Bento and I came to pick it up so here I am lol. The 2024 Holiday Bento includes four sections. In one section you have A5 Katsu Sando and Pumpkin Sando, in another section you have Maguro/Toro Chirashi topped w/Hokkaido Uni and caviar, another section has Japanese seasonal snow crab w/Ikura and lastly a chirashi w/tamago, marinated shiitake mushrooms, and seasonal vegetables. The bento also came with a nice dessert. The presentation of the bento was so gorgeous that I felt terrible breaking it apart. Everything needless to say tasted as good as it looked. I was definitely full and satisfied. I can't really say much for the service considering I only ordered Holiday Bento for pickup. However. what I can say is that they were ready with the bento right on time when I came there. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and so elegant. It looks unreal. I'll definitely have to come back here to try their omakase and enjoy the vibe. Try it out if you like. :)

Love the restaurant and come back again...we love this place. The quality of food is amazing, and Chef uses his magic hands to create the artful and tasteful sushi with different touches of flavors.

Perfect place for date night! We pretty much had the whole restaurant to ourselves since it was right around the holidays. Every detail served was cared for. They even made substitutions for my lactose intolerance self! The portions seemed small at first, but they were almost never ending. We walked out so full by the end of it.

his review reflects my impressions from my second visit to this restaurant. The intimate space features a single-piece wooden counter and a few tablesい. The restaurant keeps it simple with two prix fixe menus: a sushi course and a Wagyu-focused course. Naturally, we went for the Wagyu course--how often do you see that on the menu? Sushi omakase is everywhere, but Wagyu? That's special. The menu primarily highlighted Wagyu dishes, with a few exceptions, such as a delicate snow crab chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) and a refreshing eggplant nibitashi (marinated cold dish). The Wagyu itself was extraordinary--richly marbled, buttery, sweet, and incredibly tender. Without a doubt, it was among the finest beef dishes I have ever experienced. The course took us on a Wagyu adventure, featuring dishes like katsu sandwiches, shabu-shabu, sukiyaki, and yakiniku grill. Each one showcased just how versatile and delicious Wagyu can be. The sukiyaki, served with a silky, soft-boiled egg, was an absolute knockout--rich, savory, and completely indulgent. That said, the saffron rice and noodles served toward the end of the meal fell slightly short of expectations, as they were a bit too subtle and bland for my palate. If you're still hungry, the restaurant offers an add-on option of five pieces of omakase nigiri after finishing the Wagyu dishes. This means you can, in essence, enjoy both sushi and Wagyu in one visit--a delightful bonus for anyone wanting the best of both worlds.Service was minimal and reserved, leaving me wishing for a more engaging interaction with the chef. A touch of personal connection would have elevated the overall dining experience.

Came here with my mom for a Mother's Day treat since she wanted to have omakase in Tokyo but we never got around to it. Price with the tax and built in 20% gratuity is around $350 per person.Nestled in downtown Los Altos, the surroundings are cozy and there is plenty of street parking located nearby. It's easy to walk past this place if you're not keeping an eye out for it, the outside is modern and minimalist. The timings for omakase are 5:30, 7:00, and 8:30. We selected the 7 PM timing and paid on the website, there are no cancellations available so book wisely. The omakase tends to go above the time limit by around 10-15 minutes, we were seated late and left late. There is an appetizer, a soup, 12 courses of nigiri, a dessert, and a take-home gift of Shiroi Koibito white chocolate biscuit at the end. This was more than filling. There is also a wagyu add-on to the experience for around $85 that the party next to me opted to purchase, but the price was obscene for what was essentially a wagyu sandwich and a small cut of wagyu steak. If you eat with your eyes, you'll love this place. It's elevated and each piece is deliciously appealing. Our appetizer was artichoke in black sesame and a small citrusy salad with greens, radish, and onions. The dessert was hojicha and a vanilla custard pudding. The freshness of the nigiri and the flavor of the sauces was lovely, my favorite was the toro, unagi, and the two sea bream courses. The various toppings included sesame seeds, caviar, ginger, and wasabi. The uni was not it, though. It tasted like dirty sea water and was incredibly fishy. It left a very strong aftertaste. Service is great, there are boxes underneath each chair to stow coats/purses/hats and the waiters whisk your plates away and attentively refill water throughout the entire duration of the omakase. I'd say go here with someone who appreciates the art of food and flavor profiles and who listens to what the chef has to say. I'd say it's worth it for my first time, I don't have any omakase experiences to compare this one to. Everyone was very polite and friendly, and watching the chef prepare each nigiri was very exciting.

Amazing experience. The marinades were aromatic and pleasing to the tongue. Lots of unique fish I haven't had even in Japan. The flavors for many dishes were better than Jiro. Highly recommended!
