Feb 16, 2025 - This place is not closed. In fact, it was very busy on a Sunday night. The place was full but the staff was nice and attentive. Food is very good. We got the sliced beef congee, rice roll with beef brisket and the honey walnut shrimp. All were nicely portion and tasty. They only serve steamed rice rolls till 3 pm, will have to come back to try it. The place is on the small side, so there may be a wait. In a large mall, so parking not an issue.

This location (San Bruno) of Hing Lung is now closed. This used to my go-to for roast pork and BBQ pork, but I see a new deli has opened in its place, which is not as good. It was nice to be able to just walk in and ask for some deli meats, and you could see the butcher cutting it as you waited. Their roast pork had crispy skin while the meat was tender. The BBQ pork was a hit or miss sometimes depending on the cut that day, but finding a decent deli place in the peninsula without going all the way up to SF is becoming harder and harder.

It feels like you are eating in HK, it gives the same atmosphere and vibe! The food came out really fast, and was all sizzling hot, expect for the chinese donut which could have been heated up. The food was all delicious, they have authentic dishes here that can be hard to find at other HK style restaurants. The sausage in the clay pot was kind of salty, but everything else was great. It is more on the average-more expensive side, but dishes are large portioned and very shareable.

They are one of those restaurants for the authentic, classic taste with the fiery wok flavor! It is a staple. It is super popular and packed even on weekdays. Pro tip: order takeout to avoid lines! But there could be 10+ takeout orders, especially at busy hours!

I have never been to this restaurant much Less heard about it but had lunch there twice in one week on the recommendation of friends. And this place did not disappoint. Both times we ordered the braised string beans with spicy pork, the brisket with cartilage and rice rolls and the tomato beef geen mein. Loved all those dishes. Lots of brisket over savory sauce. The noodles wereCrispy and the beef was plentiful in the tomato beef. We also ordered the preserved egg and pork jook - very hearty comfort food. We also had the spicy salt filet of fish. Very crispy and very generous in portion size. We also had one of their breads to dip in their jook - thick and dense bread. We enjoyed it. We also had the salty fish fried rice - Not too much salty fish. Wow, this place is really busy and really popular. It's a smallish café style restaurant, but clearly very popular as there were lineups throughout the afternoon. Add your name to the sign up next to the door and be prepared to wait a little. I wish they had a Yelp sign up system. We tried their famous Chinese donuts and pan fried noodles. The Chinese donut was too doughy and not crispy enough for my liking but I enjoyed the pan fried noodles which we ordered vegetarian. We also ordered the congee, which my parents absolutely loved. Service was Asian efficient, though the food took a long time to arrive on the day we visited. The restaurant was extremely busy and seemed to also have many takeout orders, so the kitchen was fairly backed up . But the portions were reasonable, particularly the congee, which was gigantic and came out hot steamy and bubbling. We left satiated and satisfied with our meal. Prices were ok; range as expected in Bay Area. There is plenty of free parking in the strip mall.

The food is consistently good. They are famous for their porridge--it's a must try! The service is quick and the restaurant itself is very nostalgic and homey. I always leave with my yummy and my heart very warm.

Stopped by and got a variety of items -- their pan fried noodles, fish noodle soup, vegetable, and liver dish. Everything was tasty and generously portioned. The pan fried noodle takes a little longer to prepare but was worth the wait. If you come during peak hours, be prepared to wait; we queued for around 20 minutes before getting a table.

Authentic Cantonese cuisine in San Bruno! We came here on Saturday around 6 pm--this place fills up pretty quickly. Most of the tables are suitable for 4-6 people, but I'm sure they can easily combine tables to accommodate larger groups.*Rice Noodle Roll with Braised Beef Brisket PotWhere should I even start?? The beef brisket is braised perfectly with just the right amount of spice. The rice roll has absorbed all the flavor from the beef brisket, and the sticky sauce coats the rice roll beautifully. Because it's served in a pot, you can feel the 'wok hei', which adds an extra layer of complexity. You can ask for chilli sauce if you want it.*Fish Combo Rice Noodle SoupLove it--it's perfect for any occasion. The fish broth is hearty and warm, with the right amount of seasoning. They use mixian (thicker and smoother rice noodles) paired with fish cake, fish tofu, and fish fillet. I feel like they make the fish cake in-house which adds points. All the elements are cooked to perfection. It would be awesome if they had chili oil for an extra kick, perfect for people like me who enjoy spicy food.*Wonton SoupWe also ordered a wonton soup. It's fine, not bad, but there are better places for wonton.I will definitely come back next time and try their congee and fried dough.

Before COVID-19, this was my favorite place, and I would have given 5 stars for the food. But now, it seems like the ownership or chef has changed. The place isn't as clean as before--dirty cups, tea pots, flies in the store, and the floor is slippery with water and oil. It's really disappointing.I won't be coming back. I'll be taking this place off my list
