Located inside the Hankook Supermarket, Hankook Super Deli is a small food stall that offers various Korean street snacks to go, such as kimbap, kimchijeon, and tteokbokki.I picked up a couple trays of beef kimbap here on 06/05/2021 while shopping at the market. The total was $15. The lady owner who helped me was friendly. I ate them when I got home. Overall, the taste was okay. They were nicely wrapped but the flavor was a little bit bland. The quality was definitely better than the ones sold at The K Market, but not as good as the ones at Sodam in Dublin. For me, Sodam is still my go-to but this place is A-OK, especially if you have a sudden hunger attack while shopping. 3.5 stars rounding up to 4 because of the nice owner.

5 stars for their veg gimbap. Veg to rice ratio is perfect. The quality has been consistent for the past 4 years. Kind service. Other menu items are standard but their vegetable gimbap is authentic korean quality.

In the battle of the ethnic supermarkets (Nijiya, Mitsuwa, Ranch 99, Mi Pueblo, Hankook), the stakes have been increasingly raised as each store has begun to offer super fresh produce, sashimi grade fish, kobe quality beef and more....all at prices that would make Whole Foods and Draeger's blush with embarrassment. The in store delis, both a one-stop shopping convenience as well as an ode to the particular ethnic cuisine, have also been upping the quality as well.Hankook Super Deli, located in the middle of Hankook Korean Supermarket, is among the top of those places. It's claim to fame is definitely the dolsot bibimbop, a variation of the traditional bibimbop or mixed rice dish that is served in a hot stoneware bowl. During a late lunch, I saw that every other patron had ordered the same dish. At $8.99, it's not cheap, but comes with a generous side dish of kimchee, a great seaweed soup, and a ginormous serving size. Ingredients were fresh and tasty and the large predominance of vegetables means a largely healthy meal. Although you can get a regular bibimbop served in a cold metal bowl for a bit less money, I highly recommend the hot stoneware bowl. It causes the rice to get slightly crispy and means the bowl is a nice hot temperature that mixes nicely with the room temperature vegetable. Combine this rice bowl with the great soup and the cold kimchee and you really have a match made in heaven. This dolsot bibimbop was better than any bowl I had during 4 years of school in the Midwest and we ate a LOT of bibimbop back then. The deli is also a great stop to pick up to-go items for home, with my absolute favorite being japchae or Korean cellophane noodles often served as a side dish during Korean BBQ dinners. Hankook Super Deli is a super low key place to grab a great meal and they even accept credit cards, although only Visa and Mastercard.

Its a small stall inside the grocer. They have food ordered to go and a few table for diners. I love the bibimbap that they served with a small soup and banchan but it wasnt enough for me. If you go get food from the buffet stalls you have to pay for it in the front counter, not the cashier in the deli. She will give you the look and then tell you where to pay for it. I enjoyed eating there but i'd prolly go to somewhere where there is more banchan and food more the money's worth.

Hankook is an authentic korean supermarket selling all your korean grocery goodies. I particularly enjoy the deli section where they sell a delightful selection of banchan. If you're looking to whip up your own korean bbq, you can also buy marinated meat from here. One thing though, the marinated meat section and banchan section is just next to each other, so you gotta be careful not to mistake raw meat for side dishes ;)Otherwise, there's also a great selection of fresh meat for hotpot or stew. I like that they are always giving out free samples to taste. Love this supermarket! :D

5 stars for their kimbap. It's probably the best I've had (and definitely better than Galleria). I always come and grab some if I'm at Hankook.Unfortunately their other food leaves you wanting. The bibimbap is like $10 and it has way too much rice, not enough of everything else. The rice also didn't crust nicely and tasted oddly sticky (more glutinous rice-like). All in all, subpar, and they only have two ban chan. There are so many better options in the area (and with more ban chan) at the same price. I've also had the tofu soup and recall being super underwhelmed.

Worst bibimbap I've ever had and it was $17.49. It got cold fast, the meat looked like ground beef and there wasn't much of it. They served it with a limited amount of red bibimbap sauce instead of just having a bottle of the red sauce at the table, so I had to go back and ask for more, but even when adding more, it didn't taste like anything. You pay that much and there have absolutely no ambiance. There are 3 white walls with fluorescent lights and old peeling tables. Some might say "what do you expect for eating in a grocery store?" Well, I expect not to pay $17 for it. They had way too much rice in the bowl. Once I was done eating all the meat and veggies and 1/3 of the rice, I was still hungry so I went down the street to Burger King to get a whopper. What a waste of time and money. The old lady who worked there was nice though.
