Hanabi Ramen & Japanese Curry

This place is so yummy. The service was OUTSTANDING. The food is delicious. Ordered the spicy short rib ramen. It did not disappoint. It was everything I expected and MORE! You know the food is good when the entire table is quiet. Local spot, show them some love

Solid spot for curry. Such a generous sized dish filled with lots of curry sauce. Plenty to dip your Katsu chicken and your rice can swim in curry if you'd like. Excellent flavor. Ramen choices have different toppings like "kfc style" fried chicken or karage chicken or cha siu. Delicious broth Few sushi rolls on the menu, not a lot. Salmon avocado roll was ok and it is $9 whether or not you add the avocado Waitress is so courteous and kind

The portions were great for the price- the unagi comes with a huge slab of unagi. The broth was nothing special or stood out- just regular broth. What stole the show was the takoyaki- fresh, hot, great portion of octopus in it. So amazing, we devoured it in seconds. My review is really 4.5 stars, everything was great but the location was hard to find parking and small on the inside. Service was a bit slower; but I would assume it's because the food was fresh, which I prefer anyways!

Great value for the price! I got the ramen and rice bowl lunch set. The tonkatsu ramen had great flavor -- not a lot of toppings, but for the price, you really can't complain. The teriyaki chicken was good and the portion size was quite generous as well.Overall, a solid spot for a budget-friendly lunch. Would come back!

This review is only as a head up on the area as I couldn't find in due to parking. It's located on a Main Street with only street parking. Directions lead you to the rear of the business which is cramped with no parking. Can't really drive through it. No street parking either. Circled around a few times because I really wanted to try it for the ramen but gave up. Looks very small inside.

Unagi ramen- 8/10. Unagi was the largest portion I've seen. Normally the portion of unagi is small. Broth wasn't too salty or over favored so good lower balance. Came with 2 eggs halves so that's already double what usually is given. Rare that portions are on the larger end which is good. Parking is difficult in this area so walking about 2 blocks is normal. Opening was 5:30pm and all the seats were taken by 6pm. Takoyki- 10/10 you can tell it was made fresh

A good solid spot for ramen! I especially like the "sets" which are reasonably priced and enough to leave you full. Ordered the tonkatsu ramen set with gyoza and ca roll. I was originally sad that the ramen only had one piece of cha sui in it, but it was the perfect amount for the ramen which had a nice rich unami depth to it. I was also pleasantly surprised to get 4 pieces of ca roll for the price. I really only thought I'd get two like the gyoza. The ca roll had a good texture and mayo ratio so I liked it a lot. The gyoza was not anything special. The service was great and even though the place is small and cozy they didn't rush us out. Of course we politely left when we saw there was a line. Overall, it's a decent ramen that I tend to forget about but I think I'll be stopping by more often!

They were so hospitable and kind! I ordered their lunch special an hour before they closed and said I could take my time . The food was so yummy, and they didn't mind me watching anime

Tried the ramen here and it was okay. The potstickers or gyoza type are so tough to eat even the tempura shrimp. The service was fast though and people stop by a lot, perhaps due to the other food in the menu.

Given the great reviews, I would be willing to come back in the future and try more options. We came for a weekday lunch and were surprised to find the place was small with limited seating. Luckily we came early and were able to find street parking and get a table, but after that we saw a number of people having the wait or were standing around for a while to pickup their order. The food we had didn't taste as fresh and the cooking wasn't as good as we've had at other ramen places. Considering that this place is so close to Burlingame Ave, I guess I was expecting more in terms of taste and quality.
