5pm, Wednesday evening. There were about three tables full. The place was a bit cluttered with stuff on the tables and chairs, and not really the ambience you want while eating. We came to get take-out because we were working and needed something quick. When we walked in, the lady was super nice. We each ordered our own separate food for dinner. I ordered Lover's Chicken and Coconut Rice.It didn't take long for our food to come out. When we got our food, it was piping hot. My opinions about my food:Lover's chicken ~ 3/5Was definitely not what I was excepting. One is a chicken cutlet and one is a typical orange chicken style chicken. The seasoning was good but really heavy and salty. I was thirsty for hours after. $19.99Coconut rice ~ 1/5So heavily disappointed in this one. I love coconut rice and always get it at other places. It's $4.95 here and I thought it would be worth it, but it was sub par. Just cheap basmati rice cooked in some coconut milk. It was so light, I could barely taste the coconut. I spent $26 here for a single person. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back. The quality to price ratio wasn't there. I'm happy to spend money on quality food, but this wasn't it.

Tasty Thai food in the Palo Alto. The service was outstanding by Jessica - she moved fast and never left us waiting. We had a bottle of wine served in a chilled bucket, huge serving of chicken egg drop soup and shared a broccoli beef, and a serving of brown rice. Wine took us over 80 or meal would have been 50 before the tip.Everything tasted great! Will visit again.

3.5 stars, and I'd definitely return or opt for takeout! But why the 3-star rating, you might wonder? Well, while the food here is good, it tends to be on the greasy side. I indulged in the chicken chow mein to satisfy a craving, and while it was delicious, the excess grease limited how much I could enjoy in one sitting. Despite that, I managed to finish one order over three sittings spanning two days. This spot is perfect for those seeking a "guilty pleasure" dining experience, but perhaps not ideal for those with sensitive stomachs or health-conscious diners. However, if you're craving something tasty reminiscent of Panda Express without actually being Panda Express, this is your spot! Anyway, I'll definitely be back next time a craving strikes.

Have been coming here for years with my family. The owners are kind and the service is great! Never have to wait for a table and is a quiet ambiance. I come weekly for their string bean chicken - to die for! Other favorites include hot and sour soup, sizzling rice soup, tea leaf salad, eggplant with hot garlic sauce, coconut rice, and wontons in peanut sauce.

Came here for dinner about three times now. To dine in and I have not been let down.We got the orange chicken, spicy garlic chicken, and the combination chow fun. Sometimes we get the eggrolls or the wonton soup if we feel like we need a little bit more food in us.The food was all very tasty. The spicy garlic chicken is not overly spicy so it is still very enjoyable with the kick it has. The combination chow fun is beef, chicken, and shrimp. It's a good serving for a party of three. The orange chicken isn't anything different but it sure satisfied my craving. I love dining in here. The interior is cute and the plates are cute as well. If you order tea, they bring out a cute tea pot. I wish I took a photo of it!Parking is a big parking lot so no issues with parking ever.

I've been robbed! At least I feel like I have. I haven't gone here in a few years and a friend of mine and I decided to grab a bite at lunch today. They were only serving takeout because the dishwasher was broken. I got the Lemon Chicken lunch special. Not cheap at $17 but it supposedly came with the entree, white or fried rice, soup, and salad. So, they prepared the food quickly and I brought it back to the office.Well, I was very disappointed. The Lemon Chicken was ok but I've never seen this dish in red sauce. The fried rice was ok but you got one small scoop. The "salad" was a VERY small portion of lettuce with minimal dressing, if any at all. Finally the soup was...non existent. They didn't give either of us soup. All for $17 plus tax! A good value it was not.I literally went to that large Chinese chain featuring a bear that night and for $10.10 I got more quality food than I could eat.Anyway, I don't think I will ever set foot in The Green Elephant again.

Great service. Food is alright. We tried the tea leaf salad, On Noh Kauswer and Fish with eggplant. The On Noh Kauswer was the stand out with really tender chicken. The tea leaf salad could have done with more tea leaf and the eggplant was quite sweet. In any case, the prompt service and and friendly staff mean that we'll probably go back if we're in the area.

I can't believe I've never reviewed this restaurant before - this was an ole favorite of ours a few years ago.We decided to all come back the other night and eat inside - such a nice change...The owners and all their staff are so kind and friendly. Food is very consistent here. The menu is divided into a Burmese section and a Chinese section. I do know that the Burmese Tea salad is often ordered but we haven't yet tried it.We ordered two standard favs: Seafood Tofu soup - large portion with soft silky tofu, nice chunks of scallops and shrimp perfectly cooked, some mushrooms, peas and diced carrots and egg whites whipped through a clear broth. We also got the minced shrimp lettuce cups - a bit pricey but very nicely done and presented. Kids were super hungry so two orders beef chow fun (with actual noodles lol) - beef is like velvet. And we tried a new special of spicy garlic eggplant and chicken - see photo. Plus two sides of rice - and not one bite leftover to take home from this feast.Quick and attentive service = very clean and nicely lit. A neighborhood gem.

The best Burmese food around! The tea salad is to die for! I haven't been anywhere else that does better! Even my very picky eater niece lives the food here!
