We decided to dine here since there was a massive queue for Din Tai Fung and Ramen Nagi. To our surprise, the food was good! We ordered 8 items for a party of 3. Yes, we were hungry! Lol! I forgot to take a picture of the fried scallion pancakes which was very good! Although we ended with leftovers, which is a good thing, we were pleased with everything we ordered. Every dish had its own flavor which balanced nicely when eating altogether. We did ask for chili sauce to add to the rice cakes to give it a little kick! And that made it even more tasty!Glad we tried this place out, otherwise, we may have never stumbled upon it.

I was starving and stopped by here for dinner. I saw the ratings on Yelp but still came anyway. There's only one person working but there's only two tables besides us so it was fine.I ordered a few items and the restaurant gradually got busier. Food came out slowly one by one. Our drinks came out last when we already received all the dishes we ordered. It was hard to flag down the waiter to ask for chili oil. The fried rice is very bland and rice was stuck together. Honestly the best thing about what I ordered today would be iced milk tea with bear. I do think this restaurant has potential. Maybe they lack staffs both in the kitchen and the main floor. I can see why it has its current rating now. I really liked the milk tea though!

Hours are not posted at all, at this location, so let's start off by saying they open at 11 AM.It does get pretty packed, so keep it in mind and prep to either come early or to wait. It's a small location - pretty packed, and pretty crammed. Keep in mind, it gets pretty loud, so you're gonna be talking on top of one another and you're gonna hear the next table's conversations.Menus will pop up as soon as you scan the QR code.I really wasn't a big fan of their milk tea as I realized upon drinking it that it's Thai Iced Tea. The frozen bear is nice because it doesn't water down the drink as it continues to cool while you eat your meal. The dim sum here isn't standard shrimp dumplings and pork dumplings like you'd see at other Dim Sum spots. Portions are pretty good and match the price you're paying. I'd definitely come back but this isn't a place I'd frequent. So far, I've only tried the milk tea and Dim Sum. I'd come back to try other things but it's not high in my list to try or come back.

Had a great time here with some friends over the weekend. Service was quick and friendly and the food was really good. We got the string beans, veggie dumplings, cucumbers and the spicy pork soup dumplings.. highly recommend the spicy pork soup dumplings if you can only get one item. It was the perfect ration of meat soup and dough with the right amount of spice. Can't wait to come back, the layout of the restaurant is very nice as well, spacious and clean very welcoming.

Since we were 106th in line at din tai fung, and there was no wait here, we decided to try. Got the pork and shrimp Xiao long bao and pan fried pork buns. What a surprise! The pork buns were excellent. Pillowy top, crispy bottom with a soup and meat filling that pops like a soup dumpling. Very flavorful and very hot (be careful). The Xiao long bao was also superb and rivals the competition. Thin skin, meaty and soupy on the inside with a nice flavor. The additional shrimp on top was different and unique. Will definitely return to try some other dishes.

Popped in for dinner after a day of shopping at Valley Fair. It's located right next to Ramen Nagi inside the mall. Cute store with plenty of tables. We went at 6pm and were seated promptly. There was only one waitress but she was very attentive and kind and our food got bright out fast. MEAT NOODLES: HUGE portion! If you just order this, it can feed 2 people. The meat has a gamey taste if you're into more organ flavorPAN FRIED DUMPLINGS: Paired well with the soy ginger dipping sauce. Good amount of soup inside and crispy on the outsideTOFU WITH PRESERVED EGG AND PORK FLOSS: This was my favorite. I would recommend ordering some rice to eat with it because the egg is very rich. The tofu was silky soft and I love the abundance of green onions and cilantro on topSOY BROTH WITH CHINESE DONUT: I personally would've preferred if the donuts were on the side or floating on top for dipping. However, the donuts were served inside the broth and seemed to have been sitting in it for awhile so it was more soggy and disintegrated (but if this is your style, you would love it!) The broth was also not very flavorful despite the chili oil and preserved veggies in it.

One of my favorite Shangainese restaurants in the area.I like their crab xlb better than ding tai fungs. (The filling is seasoned better for my pallete and tastes more crabby - during crab season)I don't like spring rolls and I love theirs. They have mochi textured things in the filling so it was both crispy and qq.Also love their crab tofu dish and their lions head meatballs are so good with a salted egg yolk in the middle and perfectly soft. This is another dish I don't order often b/c it's often overcooked and dry when I've had it in other Chinese restaurants.Kind of a sleeper hit for me in authentic Shanghainese food. I find it hilarious that Magurume udon next door has higher ratings. This place is way better imo.

A collaboration of Goldenhill Bistro and iShanghai Delight!?! What? Of course, I have to try it as I like the other restaurants in Fremont and San Ramon. We came on a weeknight around 7-ish.The service was good. She was friendly, attentive, and helpful. Easy ordering via QR code. The food came out pretty quickly. The decor was like a Chinese bistro type of setting. Pork Dumplings 8pcs. (Xiao Long Bao) 4/5. Nice thin skinned wrapper with a meaty center and filled with soup.Pan-Fried Pork Bun 6pcs. (4/5) Nice crunchy bottom and soup inside. A bit too many sesame seeds for my wife. I liked it that it gave a nuttiness to the dumpling.Fried Scallion Pancake 2pcs. (4/5) This was crispy on the outside and sort of unraveled like a cinnamon roll. The middle center was "almost" like a mashed potato croquette filling with a lot of green scallions.

It's been a while since my last visit as I prefer other options in the mall area, but having arrived late for the ridonculous Ramen Nagi line the zero wait option was preferred. That said...it seems like this place has undergone a bit of a rebranding and they also go by iShanghai Delight? Anyhow the menu is completely different, which is a shame since I liked the old menu better. What used to be a quirky experimental spot is now an middle of the road Shanghainese place. It's enough if you need a decent meal in the Valleyfair mall area without a line, since there's a lot of waiting for most other places. Given my experience, you'd best stick to their dim sum offerings as they seemed to fare better than their entrees. While the rebranding is interesting they need a bit more work before it can become a go-to spot.Mainstays for Shanghainese were all just executed alright and veggies weren't quite tip-top fresh. The fried gluten had a slightly gritty texture in a number of pieces. The malantou, while not bad, seemed to be made from older vegetables, lacking the prime freshness I had hoped for. Additionally, the prep was a tad oily for my liking. The meatballs / shizhitou were intriguing yet somewhat lacking. While the yolk in the middle added an interesting twist, the texture was quite dry, which didn't quite mesh well with the rest of the meatball. The meat filling was tender, but veered towards being overly soft, almost to the point of being mushy. Sauce and flavor was otherwise good though. That said, this dish was the first time I've been served old bokchoi...and we're talking ragged soft. The xiao long bao (XLB) fell into a middle of the road, with room for improvement. While the skin had a good thickness and the mouthfeel was solid, I couldn't help but feel that they lacked flavor. Not too bad in terms of value though, considering it's the mall.

First of all, having just one wait staff is not enough. Once we were seated, we got to the ordering system through a QR code. It could be helpful if there are more descriptions of each dish on this online system. The wait for food was slow and the wait for the Bear Milk Tea was even slower. The milk tea took 20-30 minutes. It was the best thing that we've ordered though. Crab roe dumplings quite fishy. Pan-fried buns were one of the smallest buns I have seen in the Bay Area. The soup was on the sweeter side. The dough was a bit soggy. With that being said, I wouldn't mind ordering these again if these were the only dishes available. What I would not recommend is the fried rice with salted pork. It was beyond soggy, just wet and bland.
