I've driven past this restaurant so many times but never given it a try! I was craving dim sum & decided to come with my family right around opening at 10:30 on a Sunday and our food came out in batches. It was very hit or miss, the service is as expected.Shrimp chang fen/cheung fun: The skin is too thick and the sauce doesn't really have any taste to it, I'd skip this next time.Lobster noodles: Really good, they don't skimp on the amount of seafood in this & the noodles are well seasoned! It was a hit at our table.Chive dumplings/jiu cai jiao: So delicious and a real authentic Cantonese classic. I'm a fan. Would love to learn how to make these at home one day.Shrimp dumplings/har gow: I really liked these, the skin was good and the shrimp was juicy/had a fresh taste to it. Shrimp wrapped in tofu skin: Not a big fan of tofu skin so I'm already a bit biased, but I'd skip this. My family loved it though. It's not too oily, which is nice! I can see why people would like the texture difference, but the taste of tofu skin is too overwhelming for me to enjoy the shrimp.Cha shao bao/cha siu: I feel like this is the most reliable dish to order at dim sum! It never disappoints and is generally one of the easier things to make I'd imagine? I really like the ones made at Golden Palace, the buns came out piping hot and ready to eat. Salted egg yolk bun: I'm showing my affection towards bao with this review, but this was also one of my favorites. The juxtaposition of the taste of the sweet bun with the salted egg yolk is divine. Mango pudding: Probably skip this one, it was too firm/gelatinous for my liking. I'm more of a fan of a silkier texture akin to soft tofu.Sesame balls: Really liked these, but they were very sweet, especially for a Chinese dessert. I could only eat one!Overall I would come back here, especially factoring into consideration the convenient location in South Bay right off the highway and plentiful parking.

Food is low quality. We got takeout. We got shumai, shrimp cheong fun, salted fish fried rice, gailan, ham sui gok, HK style fried noodle, and fried tofu skin roll.Shumai, shrimp cheong fun, ham sui gok, and salty fish fried rice are decent.Do not get the fried tofu skin roll. It is just bad - outer skin is dry and hard to chew, not crispy.Shumai has very little shrimp, pork tastes old.Shring cheong fun has good shrimp, but the rice sheet is too thick.Ham sui gok is okay, but the fryer oil tastes old.Salted fish fried rice is okay, bit too oily.Gailan was overcooked.Do not get the HK style fried noodle for takeout. They put the sauce directly on top of the noodles so it will be very soggy once you get home to eat it.

We like to go to Fremont Pearl bay to yum cha (Dim sum) but it's a bit far. This is a good yum cha restaurant close to us. The tables are running quickly and there is no need to wait.Food quality average, we love their pumpkin with Salted egg yolk !!service quick and friendly .

This place is chaotic! There is a host station where you'll go to grab a number from the host and wait for your table. People who dine here tends to just make up their own numbers or just give out numbers on their own which can be very confusing for others. It is not your classic dim sum style where they walk around with the carts. You order on a piece of paper and they bring out the food. This is totally fine however the service absolutely SUCKS. Our food came out one by one so we would finish a dish and then sit and wait for an additional 20 minutes for the next dish to come out. Part of our food never came out so we had to order because we had already been there for over two hours. At one point we asked for more chili sauce and the waitress proceeded to just reached over to another table where they had another family eating and just took theirs. Like what! Food was decent but service was definitely lacking. It wasn't worth it in my opinion.

Came here for lunch with a few friends I hadn't seen in a while. The food was like some other places but honestly the staff was attentive and friendly.

Parking is a bit difficult especially weekends. The service and dimsum are mediocre, not disappointing but not amazing enough. We tried many different dimsum, the only wowing thing is their beef tripe. We also had the popular snow top sweet bun, it's just average.

Leaving another review because I'm a bit turned off by the customer service today. There were PLENTY of tables free, but they sat my family at a corner with a LOT of sun glaring on our squishy table. Because we had kids in our party, we asked if we could have a bigger table somewhere else and they seemed kind of annoyed and seated us at another similar table (still with sun glaring) next to the original squishy table. Then, they also told us one of the kids had to sit inside (I'm assuming because of the hot dim sum carts being pushed) of the table, but the kid was not being distracting and just eating calmly at the table.Today's staff attitude was just a bit off more than usual, but it left a negative impression with me if I'm being completely honest.Food also was not as amazing as I remembered so now I'm rating this place 3 stars as opposed to my previous 5-star review. However, if you are still eating here despite the negative reviews, I will do you a favor and share a few highlights below lol.Highlights:* Deep Fried Shrimp Ball* Cha Siu So* Cha Siu Bao (BBQ Pork Bun)* Egg TartsDo Not Recommend:* Rice Rolls (very doughy)

Too much MSG - and too littleLet me explain the title of my review. I'm sensitive to MSG. Besides giving me the usual dry mouth, it causes bad headaches and if it's a really large dose, it once knocked me out for a day. So I try to avoid it.We hosted a small get together of 30 people and trialed the restaurant ahead of time. The food and service seemed fine. But just to be safe, we asked for "no MSG" in the banquet. They said ok.Come time for the actual lunch: some of the dishes tasted good and I quickly figured out that they still had MSG. I ended up taking a couple of Advil for the MSG headache because even though we asked for no MSG, a few of the dishes must have had it in the ingredients. Several of the other dishes had no flavor whatsoever. For example, the soup tasted like water. Not even any salt. Whoever cooked it made no effort to season the soup or the scallop stir fry with something else to compensate for not using MSG.So after dropping 2 grand, the food tasted worse than I could whip up at home or the MSG made me ill. If you can't take MSG, AVOID at all cost. You've warned.
