Go-Bu House

They never seemed to disappoint me when it comes to my Jokbal addiction..Lol! After all these years that I have been coming here, they never change the way they cook, seasoned and serve their food. I always call ahead to put in my order. There are times that it's freshly cooked so they give it to you nice and hot and uncut, which does not bother me at all. If you get there while they have some ready and prepped to order, it's cut for you and served cold. They used to have 3 size portions: small, medium and large. But when pandemic hits they just had the large portion available. Their prices went up after these, but it does not bother me because like I've said their food stayed the same and always tasted the same. The owners are always so friendly and welcoming. I'm a frequent customer here and I will continue to be a loyal one at that :)

Call to reserve; around 9am same day. Cash only. Leave a tip. Sliced, cold servings are available for pickup by 10am but if you want it hot (and unsliced), it won't be ready until after 12 for pickup. Reason being the pork feet is very hard to cut when it's hot. All that fatty flubber will just disintegrate under a knife and you'll absolutely eff it up. Don't eff it up.Sometimes they accommodate walk ins early but it's best to call and reserve in advance. If you're planning on enjoying this as ssam, highly recommend picking up some marinated squid in the pre made food area to the left of the shop. Adds such good flavor to the ssam along with the dwenjang and pork.I like this place better than Khan.

Been craving jokbal every since my korea trip. Its hard to find a legit place that makes good flavorful jokbal. So glad to have find this place! Called at 10am on a weekday and the lady told me will be ready to pick up at 1:30pm. For 2lbs, its costed $40 bucks. Brought it home and devoured it! Delicious, will definitely be back.

This place is located inside Super Kyo Po market and it has the most bomb jokbal, or Korean pig trotters cooked with soy sauce and spices. They come with the salty dried shrimp sauce to dip in and it's absolutely amazing. The fatty layer melts in your mouth, followed by tender meat. We usually get the medium size which feeds a family of 5. You can choose to eat in the food court seating area, but what you should do instead is go pick up some lettuce and then bring it home so you can make ssam. Make sure you have some radish kimchi on hand. Also if you're feeling even more traditional, grab some soju too to enjoy with your delicious meal.Words can't do this mom and pop place that operates inside a Korean supermarket enough justice. I've found that this one is best compared with other places. You may want to also call ahead and preorder it.

For those looking at this review cause you have no idea how to order this is the review to read. First, if you like your Jokbal cold and cut nicely, order the day before and they will do that for you. If you are all about the HOT jokbal, call them in advance, because they make only a limited amount.1. Call them early, 1-2 hours before you want it and they will tell you the time to come pick it up.2. It's inside a K-mart, so walk inside to the left.3. There's two sizes, LARGE or SMALL. It used to be 3, but I guess they just took out the middle one.4. Enjoy.TIPS: I usually eat mine around 3? 3:30? So I usually call around 1.

Go-Bu House is not a restaurant, it is it's own food kiosk equipped with a kitchen inside the Super Kyo-Po Plaza market in Santa Clara amongst other food concessionaires.The lady manning Go-Bu House was friendly and accommodating. She said it would take 20minutes before I could pick up my medium sized order of jokbal which was fine, the lady guaranteed my order would be fresh and warm plus it would give me time to explore the impressive variety the grocery carries. It was reassuring to know everything is made to order.The Jokbal was delicious. The skin not gummy, the meat tender I could easily peel off the meat from the bone with just chopsticks alone. It came with a salted shrimp dipping sauce which went perfect with the meat.At $30.00 in cash, $34.00 with a credit card, it initially seemed costly however upon receiving my order it all seemed worth it as it was absolutely hefty and looked like it would make for some great leftovers. I had some more for dinner and after reheating in a toaster oven for 15minutes, the jokbal was just as good as when I got it fresh.For those craving Korean style pig's feet, you wouldn't and shouldn't miss out on Go-Bu House!

The pork knuckle is excellent. However, it is not ready until mid to late afternoon, you have to call.I like to fridge it first since I like the gelatin.

I haven't actually managed to try the jokbal here cos when I came on Saturday for lunch, the jokbal would only be ready after 2 pm unless you had special ordered. As we'd wanted to try it for lunch, bummer! If you wanna try, maybe you should call ahead first. I'm still hoping to be able to try this jokbal but I won't hold my breath :-(PS: I'm not sure why they open at 10 when jokbal is only ready at 2 pm...

Honestly this is the best place to get Jokbal! Never had a bad experience, just make sure you have cash and be there on time.

Great food, good cash price, but they charge extra $4.24 on ANY card transaction including debit/prepaid debit. I've never seen a place that places a 12.11% surcharge on debit card transaction. Surcharges cannot be imposed on debit transactions and this holds true even if a cardholder chooses "credit" as an option when using their debit card. There is no ATM near this place, as emphasized by the owner. Beware of this scheme, call them ahead because it's not going to be ready until afternoon and prepare cash. It's the best pork feet in town.
