weeknight dinner with the daughter...located next to lunardi's market in the same strip mall...first-time visit and noticing a few customers dining...seated right away and menu provided...the kid wanted what every kid likes, sweet and sour chicken $14.50....adding rice $2.75 per order...cold evening, so getting some wor wonton soup $12.25...sweet and sour chicken was a bright neon red...tasted as expected and daughter enjoyed...wor wonton soup had a little of everything...lot of meats, vegetables and dumplings...dumplings looked like little brains, so daughter nicknamed the restaurant as "bloody chicken with brains"...prices are reasonable with a typical menu...

My family and I have been going to Gin Mon for years and have always had a great experience. Everyone who works there is really friendly, but Grace always remembers our family and makes it a great experience. They also can make many of their dishes gluten free if you ask- we've ordered the fried rice, cashew chicken, and sizzling rice soup gluten free before and it's all been delicious! They have a large selection of many delicious options, and there is something for everyone on the menu!The restaurant itself is very cozy with maybe ten tables. There is also lots of parking as they share a parking lot with the grocery store, Baskin Robbins, subway, and several other stores and restaurants. We go out of our way to go to Gin Mon for the delicious food and friendly staff!

Still as good as I remember 20+ years ago. Super friendly staff and delicious well executed dishes. Nothing over the top fancy just good, fresh chinese food. Lunch specials are very reasonably priced. Will have to return more often to get my Gin Mon fix. Highly recommend.

Had dinner this evening and found everything was top notch as usual. We had perfect eggplant and a delicious chicken plate. Dine in, you will find the setting comfortable and intimate, especially in the evening. Consistently the best, don't miss out!

My husband called in a pickup order for the two of us tonight (Saturday 12/7) at 3:27 PM. The employee said it would be 20 minutes. We were about 20 minutes away so headed on over. My husband went inside, paid, and was told it wasn't ready yet because we had requested for it to be ready at 4 (we never said that). They said it would be another 15 minutes. After 15 minutes of waiting in the car he went back inside and took a seat at a chair/waiting area near the counter. The employee proceeded to help 4 other people before acknowledging my husband. Once my husband stood up, he was finally acknowledged, handed a bag, and left. We live an hour away, but my husband has been coming here for decades and even had his high school graduation dinner at this establishment which is why we've remained loyal customers despite the distance/restaurants closer to us. When we arrived home at 5:31, we checked the bag to find that we had someone else's order. When my husband attempted to call the restaurant, it did not ring and he was met with the following message: "Your call could not be completed. The number you have dialed has been disconnected." We used my phone to call less than 30 seconds later and it rang and went through. We have no choice but to assume they may have blocked my husband's number. We told them that we were given the wrong order and expressed our disappointment given that we were not in a position to just go back to swap the orders. The employee was immediately on the defense, stating how *she* was not the one who made the mistake, despite us not blaming anyone in particular. She confirmed that our food was indeed sitting at their counter. She was extremely rude, curt, and at no point used the words "I'm sorry". We asked for a refund, which was a much more difficult process than it should've been and when we asked how long before we can expect the refund, we were met with more snippiness. The fact that we placed the order at 3:27 and by 5:31 had not received a call to ask our whereabouts even further affirms our suspicion that they blocked my husband's number. Why would they leave an order to sit for hours and not attempt to contact the customer? I'll definitely be keeping an eye on my bank statement but our days of coming here are sadly over.

Come on down to Gin Mon for delicious meal. Friendly service and authentic decor. A Belmont gem!

Expensive, a simple directive was very oily and salty. Front receptionist was very unhappy with her job. Go somewhere else and save your money.

Very busy. I get it. But my take out order sat. No one called my name. Soup was warm/cold. Potstickers were warm/cold. There seemed to be a lot of staff but they weren't organized. I had to prod several people to get me my order.
