Another good restaurant from the stables of Puran Polo, Surmai and it's in a strip mall off Lawrence and oak mead. They have a simple menu of frankies and indo Chinese food.We ordered a chilli chicken roll, chilli paneer roll, dry veggie Manchurian , chicken lollipop. The meat dishes were good and my wife loved them. I had the chilli paneer for the second time in a few days. They are consistent in their taste and like their quick service. Will definitely try the noodles next time. It's a small restaurant and as word gets out they may get busier. Looks like the place maybe a regular for us, at least for the next few months.

An indochinese spot in sunnyvale that specializes in frankies (aka wraps). We've ordered from here 3 times at this point and I have tried a few different frankies. The szechwan noodle frankie is wayyyy too heavy. The noodles are very greasy and there's no veggies to offset it. The chicken lollipop is very solid. The chicken is really well marinated and like flavours are soaked in through and through. The meat is also pretty tender and the tandoori char is pretty good here. The chicken kebab frankie is probably my favourite out of all the ones I've tried. It's less greasier and heavier than the other ones I've tried. The chicken is also pretty yummy -- I like the marinade on it.

This is a 3.5/5 star review but I am rounding up.We have been to Surmai which is the sister restaurant and enjoyed the food, so was curious to see how this spot was in comparison. We got the following:Chicken Manchurian in a gravy form was tasty. Quantity was adequate and flavor was perfect. The price for this dish was $13.99. I would give this a 5/5. Schezwan Fried Rice with Chicken was just ok. I was expecting a lot more from this dish but it fell short on the flavor. If anything, it paired well with the Chicken Manchurian. Quantity was quite a lot but again, if the flavor was present then I would have appreciated it more. The price was $13.99 + $2.50 for chicken. I would give this a 2.5/5.Chicken Kebab Frankie was delicious! Probably our favorite out of the 3 dishes we got. The cost was $13.99 but we added Amul cheese for $1.50 which I did not think was worth it given we didn't taste the cheese as much. I am sure if we had more cheese that would have enhanced the flavor of the Frankie altogether. The quantity was not worth the cost though. I would give this one 3.5/5. Staff was friendly and attentive. The seating area of the restaurant was small, not overly packed and well maintained.

I've been seeing signs for this Indian Chinese fusion place and it's finally open! I was driving by one night and saw lights on with customers dining in. Dined in for lunch with a friend on a weekday. Grab some menus and order/pay up front with a cashier and seat yourself. They'll bring the food out after cooking. They already had water pitchers and glasses set up per table along with utensils + napkins. Staff brought over plates since we shared family style.Eats:*Chicken Lollipops 4pc *Burnt Garlic Fried Rice + Chicken*Szechuan Noodles + ShrimpThe first two arrived with a savory dipping sauce that might have had some shrimp paste? The lollipops look red hot but they're actually not that spicy. Crispy outside with tender chicken inside. I love fried rice and Mom makes garlic rice at home so what's not to love? Adding chicken boosted protein content and all of the flavors created a party in my stomach. I could eat this all day.Szechuan noodles used typical Chinese egg noodles but it definitely reminded me of Filipino canton noodles in pancit IYKYK =) got this with shrimp and it packed subtle heat with lots of south Asian flavor. Great addition to the area. Check it out!

4.5 STARSOne taste of Frankie and I was hooked!Umm, that didn't come out right. Frankie isn't a person; it's a delicious Mumbai street food. More on that later. Soft opening last week from the owner(s) behind Puranpoli (Maharashtrian vegetarian resto), Surmai (Maharashtrian coastal resto), and Solkadhi (mix of Puranpoli + Surmai) is Frankie. Open for takeout, delivery, indoor dining, and outdoor dining. M E N UIndo-Chinese Cuisine: a blend of Indian and Chinese cuisine that was created by Hakka Chinese immigrants in India. They combined ingredients and techniques from their home country with Indian spices and flavors. Their restaurant's namesake is a Frankie aka Bombay Burrito made with roti and various fillings. Unlike their cousin, Kati Roll, there's a layer of egg in a Frankie. F O O D * Chicken Lollipop (4 pc - $12.99): https://tinyurl.com/yn68y3fbThe frenched drummettes are marinated, battered, and fried creating a hella juicy, flavorful, and crispy chicken lollipop (not heavy or greasy). The ginger and garlic essence really comes through. Served with a fiery hot chili sauce.* Schezwan Noodles ($14.99) w/ egg (+$1.50), shrimp (+$3.50): https://tinyurl.com/bdcbmj8eI much prefer Indo-Chinese chow mein to Chinese chow mein because the warming Indian spices make it a lot tastier. This rendition was decent but IMO, needs some tweaks - the noodles were too soft and the spices + heat could be bolder. Liked the combo of the soft eggs and firm shrimp tho. * Chicken Kebab Frankie ($13.99 + $1.50 amul cheese): https://tinyurl.com/45ybtvjtSaving the best for last, THIS is what you come for...The Frankie!Crispy-chewy roti is layered with egg and filled with richly spiced, tender chicken kebab, mixed greens, crisp red onions, and creamy aioli. The amul cheese has the melt of a mozzerella with the salty sharpness of a parm. A delicious bomb of flavors and textures. Loved it and I contemplated returning the next day for another. S E R V I C EFriendly and accommodating. We were the only diners at opening time so pretty prompt food service. A M B I A N C ELow-key vibe with blend of warm Indian colors and Chinese décor (paintings and buddha statue). About 10-12 tables inside and a couple of picnic tables in their side patio.Restroom is outside the resto (key needed). P A R K I N GTucked away in a business park, parking is plentiful. Overall, Frankie is a great addition to the rich Indian food scene in Sunnyvale. Will def be back for more Frankies!

New restaurant alert! My wife told me about this place yesterday, and I originally thought we'd check it out over the weekend. But sometimes, the Indian in me starts craving 'snacky' street food at the oddest hours - so there we were at 2:30 PM, even though we'd already had lunch just a couple of hours earlier. LOL.We ordered the Chili Chicken Frankie and the Schezwan Noodles - both were excellent. If you've had the Indo-Chinese dishes at Surmai, the flavors here will feel instantly familiar. The noodles were soft, hot, and packed with tangy goodness. The Frankie was also great. If I put on my 'snob' hat, it doesn't quite replicate the Mumbai Frankies I grew up on (think Tibb's Frankie), but as a chicken wrap/roll, it was thoroughly enjoyable. The roti is made in-house - soft, flavorful, and served with some tasty in-house dips.Shoutout to Stany for the excellent service! They've only been open for two days, so there wasn't anyone else inside but I am sure that'll change in a few weeks. I was certainly impressed and will be back. Highly recommend!

HUGE fan of the Puranpoli group of restaurants and have been going to all of them for years. Been looking forward to this one in particular, because the most popular dish at Puranpoli was the Aloo Frankie which they had to remove a few years ago. I'd kept checking if they were open for a few weeks, and finally Yelp shows me they're open today. And I'm on my way! Went and found out they're technically officially opening only next week, and the owner Roshan hasn't advertised yet as open. 4.5/5.Aloo Frankie (5/5) - as good as ever or as it was at Puranpoli. A bit more expensive now, of course. Well spiced, slightly crunchy potato with onions wrapped up. Sauce (chipotle style) on the side. Chili Paneer dry (3.5/5) - it was mild and that was okay too because we didn't ask spicy. But we felt it lacked a bit of flavor and also salt. Must've been because of opening week, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on this for sure.Grilled Chicken Frankie - 4.5/5 - my friend had this and rated it pretty high.Best Aloo Frankie in the Bay Area hands down, that alone is 100% worth coming here on repeat. The owner said they've been trying to open up for a few months but couldn't because of some issues ongoing with the city. The ambiance/space is decent and not out of this world, but who cares. Parking available in the complex. Just behind the restaurant.

The food here is absolutely delicious. Every dish is well-seasoned, cooked to perfection, and bursting with flavor. The ingredients taste fresh, and you can tell a lot of care goes into the preparation. Definitely a place worth coming back to.
