Felipe's Market

Absolute gem of a market. Excellent produce and pre-inflation prices. I don't understand how they are able to do that.

I stopped in yesterday to grab milk on my way home because Felipe's is right next door to my fitness class and I love to support small businesses. However, I was disappointed in my experience here. They only carry Clover brand milk, and the only nonfat 1-gallon option was $7.99. An outrageously high price. They carry Alexandre's milk too which is a rare treat for me, so I grabbed a quart of chocolate for $3.99. Again, overpriced. The worst part is: that chocolate milk expires in 2 days, but I just had a mouthful of surprisingly sour milk today meaning it's already gone bad. I bought it just yesterday. The market is small and crowded, everything is overpriced, and now I don't trust that they properly store their products. I'll avoid it from now on.

So Felipe's is right next door to Apni Mandi where I often stop for their delicious hot chai and snacks, but I love the varieties of produce and reasonable prices @ Felipe's. The girlfriend likes coming here for the manager's specials and sometimes these sales are pretty phenomenal like 1 time she scored on Strauss Ice Cream and European style yogurt. I am impressed by the selection of fresh fruits/vegetables, sauces, pasta and even some popular Chinese brands commonly found in our homes. The market is always busy but it's always organized and clean.

Place to go to for all your fruits and veggies. Plus other food products. Best to go early in the morning. After 10am it's gets pretty congested.

Our favourite grocery store! We come here for the European products and fresh vegetables and fruits! It would be great to have some kind of a member savings/points system to use (maybe via a phone number). But it is just a thought:)

I visited this market and was impressed by the selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. They had a great variety of sauces, pasta and perishable goods as well. The market is always busy but it's always organized and clean. The prices here are amazing and the staff was knowledgeable and helpful. It was a great experience.

Don't waste your money here. The produce price looks low but the quality of it is low too. Have to say some of the fruits and vegetables should go to trash can.For example, the plum was very cheap. It looks not bad, but tastes awful. We had to throw all of them out.

Great selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, preserved foods, and cheeses.It can get very crowded sometimes, especially in the evenings.

Good selection and prices for the produce. They have a good collection of nuts, from farmers. Berries have to be consumed soon, or they go bad.
