Estrellita Mexican Bistro

I saw the great reviews, it is very close to our home , and yet we never had the chance to try. So we decided to check it out tonight. We ordered :Carne asada -- it was a thin steak but tender and flavorful. It came lots of delicious grilled onions. La gringa - it's like a open face enchilada with chicken. It was supposed to be spicy but it wasn't. It was still good. Definitely a fun space to have Mexican food. Price was reasonable and wait staff were very friendly.

I came on a Saturday night around 8 PM. there weren't many people here. I ordered the enchilada suizas. It tasted really great and came with rice and beans. The chicken was marinated well and it tasted perfect. I personally think it's a small portion size. For those who like to eat more, I recommend getting an extra enchilada because they're so good! The waiters came by to check on us often and offered water refills. The atmosphere was relaxing. Inside it was not too loud and plenty of places to sit. My friend and I sat outside where it was brightly lit. The parking lot in front has about 3 spaces so I recommend parking at the Plaza across the street.

I mistakenly made reservations here back in October and reminded here in the app that I had yet to review... Blah, meh, not really authentic. They need a major facelift in every way from the food to the decor. Such a good location, it's a shame that they don't seem to be able to step up their game.

Food was delicious! We ordered a couple of combination plates that came with rice and beans. I like that the food was nice and hot. I love their salsa, which just had the right amount of heat to enjoy with the free chips. Great service as well!

I love Mexican food, not so much the rice and beans, which I make all the time at home, but salsas and guacamole on anything make me happy. On this Sunday afternoon, the inside of this restaurant provided cool respite from the hot sun. I was thrilled with the Enchiladas Mexicanas special here. It allowed me to sample three fantastic sauces, the bright green tomatillo, dark rich red mole and the potato bacon sauce, which was my favorite. All three enchiladas were filled with chicken and cheese, but each one was so different with the complex flavors of the sauces coming through. Apparently this special is offered during Fall every year. This is hearty platter of food. The rice here is not overly salty, the way most Mexican restaurants serve their rice. I kept using the different sauces on bites of rice. I could only eat half of my plate and painstakingly packed the leftovers so the sauces would stay separate. My server was excellent, refilling iced tea and checking in frequently.

I was out wine tasting with some friends in the South Bay, and we were starved for a hearty meal and some AC. My friend recommended Estrellita, a place she had frequented back in her early start up years. The space was beautifully decorated with plenty of tables and a well stocked bar. We were seated immediately, and were offered free homemade chips and salsa, which we scarfed down right away. We ordered the following:1. Guacamole: 5/52. Taco salad with Oaxaca chicken: 5/53. 3 taco platter and nachos: 5/54. Shredded beef burrito: 5/5There was a bit of a wait for our main courses, but everything was incredible and came out piping hot! The servings were huge, allowing us to bring home food for later. Will definitely be returning when in the area and in search of a nice place to enjoy authentic Mexican dishes.

This was definitely a hole in the wall place. I had ordered the queso fundido . Which was actually pretty good. The guacamole was ok nothing special. The carne asada had good beans, the meat was soft cooked well. And chicken enchilada was good as well. Over food was great, drink i had a watermelon margarita and a mezcalpenia, both were not good. And they took forever to come. Service was ok, it did take them a while to get to us, table was not set prior with fork and knife napkins etc. might give them another try.

Good, affordable, Mexican food! Great portions! The service was great and the ambiance was nice the night we were in. Not too loud!

Food was okay wasn't that flavorful. Ambience was nice and the staff were really friendly.

I recommend for the food it is great. Chairs really hurt all of our butt though so we recommending ordering to go or delivery.
