This is my kind of place, little frills and lots of good food. A low end cafe with reasonable food for a reasonable price.Food 4Quality 3Quantity 4Parking hit or miss on el Camino 4 or 2Presentation 2Aroma 3Service 3Cleanliness 3Atmosphere 2Wine/beer 3 limited selection but good valueDesert did not have anyValue 5This place has been there for ever. If I am passing by for a meal and there is parking on El Camino I would eat here. Certainly not the hip atmosphere but working people who do jot want to be seen but et place.

I've been coming to this restaurant since I was a kid. The customer service, atmosphere, and food are amazing. The consistency on everything is always there. They serve some of the best Peruvian food I've tried in the USA, even compared to Miami, this spot is better. A delicious home cooked meal style every time I visit.

Parking is interesting. If you don't get a spot on the street next to the restaurant, you have to go around the back and try to find a spot. The main guy I will assume is the owner, didn't come off as friendly to me. He was cordial at best. The food comes in large portions and nice presentation but the taste is average. The lomo saltado meat was tender but the taste was off. What tasted like soy sauce on the white rice. The ceviche was somewhat good but fishy taste in other parts. They don't spread the big corns for you, it comes in a whole piece. The chicha was ok but lukewarm even with ice in the cup. Most plates are $20 each and up

Always been looking forward to the bread here served with whipped butter and spicy green sauce. It keeps your appetite primed for the main attraction. Our go to dish here is the saltado de pollo: deep fried non-breaded chicken, tossed with onions, tomato and french fries in soy sauce! This in my opinion is the quintessential Peruvian dish as it captures the essence of "chifa" (Chinese-inspired cuisine with South American ingredients).

It's been quite a while since I last visited Estampas Peruanas, so I was excited to return. We arrived at around 1ish on Tuesday, and there were plenty of open tables. While we were deciding what to order, we were brought bread, butter, hominy, and their green chili sauce - such a great way to whet the appetite. I was excited that they also had diet Inca cola, which many places do not carry. We ordered the Milanesa con Pollo and the Pescado a lo macho to share. Decent sized portions. Love the milanesa - crispy and flavorful. As for the Pesacdo a lo macho, the snapper was a bit on the small side which was hard to tell as it was covered with all the other seafood. The sauce was good, especially with the rice. We were definitely full when we were done.

Eh. Really high ceilings so quite noisy inside. Service from owner was good but when we walked in, the service staff ignored us for 2-3 min even though she was right next to us. Was awkward ! Food was alright. Shrimp was a little over cooked. Causa didn't taste that fresh. Lomo Saltado was a bit over cooked and under seasoned. Was really excited about this spot !! :/

I used to come here a long time ago but it has been many years. We came here on a Sunday to get pan con chiccaron and papa a la huancaina. The huancaina was ok. It's usually my favorite. The pan con chiccaron was good though I feel it could have more filling since there is so much bread. The green salsa they give you with bread is very good. I loved it and the pineapple juice was amazing though expensive. The only issue was that the waiter never brought my sauce. We ordered a side of huancaina sauce and I was already have done with my sandwich and still had not got the sauce and he hadn't come to check on us. When we finally got his attention we asked about the sauce and he said he forgot and he went and got it though I didn't need it anymore since we didn't have any food left for it so that was a waste of money. Other than that the food was good.
