I've been eating food from El Taco De Oro since my coworker at a previous job introduced me to their location in Alviso about 4 years ago. I was definitely hooked after trying their tacos. Lately I've been coming across their truck parked in front of O Reilly's on El Camino next to Golfland and I gotta say, these guys keep it consistent. I've been swinging by during my lunch break to get a super burrito with carne Asada, and it's my current go to. Sure the tacos are awesome but man, just something about the way they do burritos just hits the spot every time. I also like that the food prep doesn't even take long and there usually isn't a wait when I come by. Check them out next time you're craving Mexican food, support a local small business!

Saw this food truck parked near Alviso Marina County Park so decided to try it. Ordered an Asada Taco and a Carnitas Super Taco. The different between a Taco and a Super Taco is that the Super Taco has cheese and sour cream, the other one doesn't. I liked the Asada one a little bit more because of its more intense spicy flavor. I also appreciate the double corn tortillas because its grainy flavor contrasted with the heavy flavors from the meat.My one complaint is that for a food truck with not a whole ton of customers, the service was pretty slow. We waited maybe 10-15 minutes before we got our order of two tacos. Also the people inside weren't wearing masks so there's that.

Sadly I think this place is no longer around. I've tried at least 3 times to go since the start of the pandemic and I don't see the truck anywhere near or around their usual spots on El Camino. I tried to call their number a few times too but it goes to voicemail. If anyone knows if they're still around please post it, otherwise I'm afraid it looks like they've stopped operating.

The restaurant was very vibrant! Loved the vibe. The tacos were a bit tinier than expected but they were delicious! Super excited to try their 30 taco challenge!

CASH ONLY!! Finally got the chance to try El Taco de Oro after driving by it for years! Got the super burrito (w/o beans) and it was fulfilling! $8. It was a little too much rice and not really balancing with the chicken and the other stuff. The chicken itself has great seasoning and overall, it was pretty good. We didn't know it was cash only so he located us to the ATM inside Safeway. When we came back, he already had our food ready! Yay! Next up, their tacos and quesadilla!

The south bay must be hurting for taco trucks if this one rates four stars. Ordered a carne asada super burrito, sin crema (without sour cream), with extra guacamole, refried beans, extra spicy ("picoso por Mexicanos" spicy for Mexicans, not us northerners). Told they didn't have guacamole nor avocados, and the only beans available were whole pinto ("frijole de olla"). Asked for the burrito to be cut in half to facilitate sharing -- they sawed the thing in half but didn't add another foil wrap, they simply put the two halves on a paper plate with a couple of quarter wedges of jalapenos, and then half-rolled and slid the paper plate into a paper bag, meaning burrito bits from the exposed ends dropped out and made a mess.Burrito itself was flat-out weird -- chorizo mixed in not sure if it was an attempt to make things spicier or just to save on the carne asada, lettuce (?!?!), and no salsa and/or heat. Horrifico!

Love when my hunger strike hits and we're on El Camino and I see the truck. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/CDrKvEz23Rb-Bse_FMpl2A?select=mN-oPreGb6gQ9GwuJAFXiA#jWW5tUYsXplbnfv7sY1tegWe rolled up and there were about three people in front of us. We ordered two Carnitas tacos and carne asada burrito: $7.50. You can't beat that price. Tacos were tasty and they cooked the meat extra crispy just like the Canadian likes it. Authentic quality food, consistant, and prices that can't be beat.http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/CDrKvEz23Rb-Bse_FMpl2A?select=mN-oPreGb6gQ9GwuJAFXiA#_G-rb0utDlIrMzsq3XO8Sg
