El Sol Super Mercado and Taqueria

I live close by & finally tried this spot after realizing another spot closer to home was closed on Sunday. My mom wanted menudo & their "menudo" sign outside was just calling us in. As soon as you walk in on the taqueria side m, all the aromas just hit you. There's no oily, greasy smell..just smells like authentic food. We ordered the menudo & tacos dorados de barbacoa. As we waited, we noticed their salsa bar had so many options & they even had freshly made molcajete salsas which were sooo good. The spicy level & flavors were amazing. They even had a chili oil which went great with the menudo. The menudo broth was delicious, not overall salty & not oily at all. The freshly made tortillas they provide on the side is a great sponge for the broth. The tacos were bomb! The consommé was legit & tasted so good with just a hint of lime for each bite to cut through that savoriness of the meat & cheese. I would come back for these next time & load up on more salsas!

I feel lucky to live within walking distance of a place with super authentic Mexican food! ESPECIALLY because the parking lot here is tiny and always crowded! Everytime I've driven over here, I feel regret from being lazy and not just walking over.The Breakfast Burrito here is so good - it comes with chorizo, ham & bacon. Somehow it always lasts me like 3 breakfasts worth (not even kidding). There used to be a salsa bar pre-COVID, now you just have to ask for the sauces you want when they call your number.The atmosphere here is very authentically Mexican and everyone here looks like a regular. I sometimes feel slightly out of place here but it's just in my own head because everyone who works here has always been courteous and friendly!

The food is fiiireeeeee, honestly my absolute favorite restaurant for tacos and breakfast or just about anything, the handmaid tortillas and authentic recipes are a must.. so flavorful and delicious

This is my spot I've been coming here for years the food is authentic and delicious their caldo de res is better than my momma lol but seriously you can't go wrong with handmade tortillas I will always come here!!

My friends who frequent this place often took me here last weekend. I ordered the Super Burrito with carne asada. My friend got the Super Quesadilla and my other friend got the Mulitas... Everything was amazing! From the outside this place looks like your average supermarket. But inside is where the real gem lies. I was eating that burrito for two days it was so big!! Their prices are definitely low and the gals working here were extremely friendly. They even let me use their bathroom which I believe was for employees only. I will be back! And next time I'm trying the quesadillas!

I'm a regular at this place. I really enjoy the food. The tortillas are awesome, the food excellent. My problem with this place is hygiene. The customer bathroom never has hand soap, or paper towels.The employees sink, Sometimes it has sometimes it doesn't have soap. I have closed my eyes and kept eating at this place. But when I saw a cucaracha. On lunch time. The brave little guy chillingly the foosball table. Made me not finish my food.

This place makes tacos with homemade tortillas. Everything I've had is really good. Definitely a diamond in the rough

There food is the best. I love all there food, the flavor is very savory in everything they make. The home made tortilla are super good the rice is delicious. Just talking about it makes me want to order a meal, try it out you will not be disappointed at all. Thanks,Stephanie
