El Rodeo

Love the ambiance here; while a lot of the pictures show the bar area, there are also tables. We went when it was decorated for Christmas, so lots of Christmas lights. We had the ultimate fajitas, bean n' cheese, and a super burrito with grilled chicken. The food was fresh, delightfully tasty. The salsa was a bit watery. It had a good kick though. Service was great; we were offered extra salsa and nachos.

My food was good. I ordered the chicken taco salad..This is normally my go to and I never had a salad filled with a lot of chicken like I did from this place. The Combination plate I was told was good..My only feedback is the salsa was a little watery and the chips were good. I would definitely return..

Food: very good portion and flavors! We ordered a Top shelf burrito and their Roy Special. The burrito fillings are flavorful and nice amount of meat; the Roy Special won't disappoint you just like they say! The chicken is grilled tender and goes super well with the chili.Service: it's a little busy during lunch and they have many group customers. They are nice and helpful.Ambiance: Midwestern style of interior design. Suitable for family and friends gathering.

Great experience. We chose this restaurant for two reasons; they own the family breakfast spot next door which is amazing and since it was a "financial black out" day we only wanted to spend our money at family owned establishments. This place was great. The host/ manager was very accommodating and checked on us often. The food was fresh and delicious. Great portion sizes and flavors. Their drinks were great too. Fresh and delicious. We'll definitely visit again.

So La Casita and Cabrillo Cafe were basically my families regular restaurants growing up so to find out they opened El Rodeo we were so stoked. We went here on a Friday for lunch and the food was amazing! The portions were huge just as La casita and the food tasted very similar. We don't live in Fremont anymore but we will definitely be back when visiting. The service was fast, friendly, and efficient. They even gave us a free appetizer of their choice of a small nacho plate for free because it was Friday !

Came with office friends who raved about this place. I asked them to order me a dish I just had to have. The Roy's Special - Two chicken fillet on covered with garlic sauce & potatoes & beans was definitely unique! The chicken was very tender & tasty. This is a specialty & may not be available else where. The dining room was spacious. We were seated in a booth which gave us privacy to chat. Service was attentive & friendly. Regulars get an appetizer which my friend got to share, a beef nacho. Yummy!

My first time to try Tex-Mex food. Perhaps, I need to continue trying more (to be fair) bc so far think I prefer Cal-Mex. So far not liking what I ordered - combo beef Enchilada with soft fish taco with sides bean and rice. Liked that it comes in a large portion, but the taste was not really there for me compare to a Cal-Mex I've had of the same dish. Prices a bit on the higher end. Will be trying a different dish should I return next time.

Service was nice, but the food was at most mediocre. The wet Top Shelf Burrito was packed with beans, rice, cheese, and a bland asada. You could get better at Chipotle, unfortunately. I hate to waste, but left more than half behind. There was no spicy salsa to make this edible. Even the mole on the burrito wasn't flavorful.The Enchilada & Tostada combo was also meh. The Tostada was not crisp and the enchilada sauce lacked substance. If you care more about ambiance, go here. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with al local bar vibe.

Delicious!!! Food and mixed drinks! Bartender/ manager came out from behind the bar to ensure he got our mixed drink order perfect And specific to what we wanted also came with a complementary nacho with shredded beef, which was amazing!

Service was just ok. Had to wait a long while for basic things, like salsa. I ordered a taco salad that was also just ok. Didn't have any flavor and had to use the salsas but they give u such tiny portions of salsa! Overall wouldn't come back. Got a flight of margaritas. They were good and had plenty of flavor options.
