My group of 9 came on a Saturday night around 7 PM and we were seated after a short wait. To order, you need to scan the QR code by the table and select the items you'd like online. Once the order was submitted for our group, the food started coming out within 5-10 minutes.For the skewers, I got lamb, beef, and chicken gristle (aka chicken cartilage). I also got an order of the spicy rice noodles. I loved every single item that I ordered. The seasoning on the skewers was really good, and even though you get 1-2 skewers depending on what you order, the meat portions were great! The spicy rice noodle was a good add-on to fill me up a little bit more. The spice was similar to that of dishes with numbing spice, but it was tolerable and very yummy (from someone who can't handle too much spice). The price was a little bit on the higher side but I think it was worth it because I left feeling very satisfied! Keep in mind that 18% gratuity is automatically added for larger groups. I loved the decor and interior design of the restaurant. All in all, a great first time experience!

Love love Chinese bbq skewers. There was another skewer place in South Bay that closed down and this place definitely really does hit the spot and is now my new favorite. Really liked the cozy atmosphere with the traditional Chinese decor and music. Service is QUICK here. After sending our orders in, the food started coming out less than 5 minutes!! All the skewers were packed with spice and flavor. I never tried eggplant at places like these but ohuuuuu it was so delicious with all the garlic on top. And the cold noodles...so refreshing. TIP: eat the skewer meats with the noodles. Best combo ever! One thing that could have been better was the steamed buns and chicken skin. It didn't have enough sauce on it and wasn't as crisp as I thought it to be. But overall, I will be coming back here for these delicious skewers. love you dynasty bbq

I'm a fan of Chinese BBQ and I definitely was impressed with my recent visit at Dynasty BBQ in San Mateo. It's not located in downtown, but it's in an area with fairly easy parking. One of the biggest upsides with coming here is that they close late at 11:30 P.M. So if you need some good BBQ for late night eats this is a place worth checking out.Service is friendly although you order through their tablet and the ordering process is pretty simple.I won't list out everything I ordered because my table ordered around 27 items and my fingers would fall off listing everything. My favorites were easily the lamb skewers, beef tongue, and their chicken wings. The prices for all the skewers were also not prices outrageously like the chicken wings being $3.50 for example.The food also comes very quickly and everything was tasty. I had no complaint about a single item ordered. Everything is seasoned really well and the spices weren't too spicy either.The ambiance is also comfortable and I had a great experience coming here. Definitely highly recommend it here.

Best Chinese bbq skewers in the peninsula. This place reminds of me eating in China. It's a bit chilly like how China lacks central heating and everyone is practically Chinese. Our eyes are always bigger than our stomach when we're here. My favorites are their veggies and mushroom. My husband enjoys their beef and lamb skewers. Their man tou (bread) is really good. Can't go wrong with any of the items plus they're small so try a variety. It gets a bit repetitive bc they use the same seasoning so they all taste the same towards the end. I especially enjoy the Korean cold noodles which breaks up the bbq taste. A great palate cleanser. Same with the spicy marinated cucumbers. Those are soooo good here. Their spicy and sour sweet potato noodles are my favorite on the menu!!! Just the right amount of sour and spicy and the noodles are perfectly chewy. They give you a snack bag when you dine there for your birthday! We got that for my daughter the day after her birthday. It came with a bunch of savory and sweet Chinese snacks and a stuffed animal!

Chinese bbq skewers! Each skewer is around $4-6 and their smaller dishes are around $10-15. Their skewers are larger than your average skewers and food is quite delicious. The seasoning that they put on all their food item is definitely on the saltier and a tad spicy side so not for those who like lighter flavors. The interior is super cute and resembles streets of ancient China. However, we were seated in an awkward spot right in front of the door due to a busy evening at the restaurant and people waiting for a seat were surrounding us. It was a little cold especially whenever somebody goes in or out of the restaurant and opens the door.

I stopped by Dynasty BBQ on a weekday, expecting a chill vibe, but the place was still busy! Luckily, the wait was only 10-15 minutes, which was totally manageable.I was impressed by the seasoning on the beef skewers, it was flavorful. My only tweak would be to kick up the heat a notch, as it wasn't quite spicy enough for my taste. The meat on all the skewers was noticeably bigger and better quality than what I've had at other places in the Bay Area. But the real standout for me was the Enoki skewer, it was delicious.Considering the price, I'd say it's a great value. Overall, Dynasty BBQ has won me over with their tasty skewers and generous portions.

This is Dynasty BBQ. They are a skewer place. Overall I liked everything we had. Everything was cooked really wel. I especially liked the enoki mushrooms and chive skewers. I also enjoyed the scallop vermicelli, it's super garlicky. Like most Chinese skewers places the flavor profile in general is almost the same for everything and heavy on the cumin. 7.4/10.

Went here for dinner to catch up with a friend. Interior is super cute and modeled after a quaint village with little booths.We loved the idea of having a mini heated grill with tea lights underneath. The skewers came pre-cooked but the heat source kept our skewers warm throughout dinner. Sizeable portions that are good for sharing and trying a bit of everything! The Korean cold noodles and cucumbers were the perfect refreshments paired with the meaty skewers. There was ample seasoning (same seasoning was used for all skewers) but there was something about the flavor of the pepper that was just not my cup of tea. I wish they had more variety for seasonings. But if you're into that numbing spice flavor then this is for you! Also was a bit disappointed with the quail eggs as I thought they'd be a bit more dressed up from the pictures but they're straight up quail eggs, just as the description depicted LOLService was quick and attentive. Def recommend!

Great service! Food is delicious and affordable! Would recommend definitely must try the grilled skewers!
