Outdoor seating was the only option available when we reserved online, so we came prepared wearing layers. Turns out, it didn't feel cold at all, even in winter with a bit of on-and-off rain. They have covered seating near the restaurant windows with outdoor heaters above, then parklet seating, where we sat for our dinner, which is covered on three sides so it was very comfortable. We ordered two pizzas, la porchetta and the jalapeno pizza, as well as brussels sprouts and a cocktail. The brussels sprouts took about 5 minutes to be ready, and our pizzas about 10 minutes. Staff was professional and provided excellent service during our entire visit. The double doppio was sweet and slightly tangy with just a hint of bitterness. It was yummy, and presented beautifully. The brussels sprouts were tasty, generous with the bacon pieces, and cooked just right. The pizzas were larger than we thought, about 12 inches in diameter, but if you don't include the crusts at the end, more like 10 inches. Certainly good for sharing, and filled with unique combinations of ingredients. The jalapeno pizza was savory and salty from the meats, a nice spice from the jalapenos, and if that's not enough, ask for the chili oil which is super spicy here. The la porchetta had a nice umami and herby flavor, topped off with melty mozzarella, and combined with that white sauce, it was delish! Just a great meal to start our eventful evening.

I went here for lunch with a couple of coworkers. I have walked past here for 3 years and finally decided to stop by and see how it was. Staff was friendly and greeted us as soon as we walked in.I am a huge fan of seafood stew and they executed the dish very well. The stew had great flavor and was packed with seafood. They were not skimpy at all with the seafood.Definitely on a chilly day in the city I recommend this dish. It warmed me up and left me full the rest of the work day. My coworkers had shared a pizza and that looked delicious and had great feedback as well. I am looking forward to coming back and trying the pizza.

I've been wanting to try Doppio Zero after hearing much praise from other locals. There's multiple locations throughout the Bay Area, we just so happened to pass by this one in Hayes Valley during dinner hours. We were indecisive on what to order, but luckily our server was patient and informative. We opted for the fried calamari and shrimp as our appetizer. Nicely breaded, seasoned well, and good portion of seafood. I would get this again! The fig and prosciutto pizza stole the show for me. We ordered it from a separate paper menu so I'm assuming it's a rotating item. I'm usually one to toss the crust, but I found the dough to be addicting. The pizza has a nice fluffy crust that was soft and chewy, yet crispy from the burnt edges. I know some people may disagree, but I quite enjoyed it.Fettuccine short ribs was okay. It wasn't really memorable, so I'll definitely be ordering a different pasta if I ever return. Good service and ambiance that's perfect for a casual meal or date night.

Lively place in the Hayes valley for a night out, service here is great and got a table relatively quickly surprisingly for weekend night thinking it would be busy. The food came out really quick as well but it was a bit of a let down considering all the good things I heard about this spot. Ordered truffle fries which was great, strong truffle aroma, as well as the Doppio zero pizza and fettuccine short rib. The pizza was quite a huge let down, dough came out soggy and seems like it wasn't cooked completely in the center. The pasta tasted fresh and al dente and the short ribs tore apart easily but the sauce wasn't as flavorful as I would've expected it to be, a bit on the bland side.

They serve a lot of pizzas, but I recommend focusing on their other dishes! This is the best seafood squid ink pasta I've had in the city so far and I will keep going there just for this dish alone. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the scallops were very tender! Yum! Everyone was very happy with their meals, although I'm not sure if much of what we ordered was on special because I didn't see them on the menu through Yelp. I forgot to take pictures of the actual menu in the restaurant. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was loud and bustling. I recommend making a reservation if you want to go for dinner because some people were turned away at the door. This place gets filled up quickly. Before you leave, make sure you order a tiramisu to wrap up your delicious meal.

Classic date-night spot in Hayes Valley for a delicious bite to eat! Got their famous Marechiaro (squid ink) tagliolini pasta and Doppio Zero white-sauce pizza. The pasta was magical--such a glorious amount of seafood, with the scallops being juicy and flavorful and the tagliolini soaking in all of that rich seafood flavor. Texture on the pasta was the perfect al-dente and had a fair bit of kick to it. It was the ideal pairing with the pizza as well. What comes to mind is the perfect combination of the creaminess of the burrata & the sharpeness of the shaved parmesan, along with the softness of the dough crust and the bitterness of the burnt parts. The fresh arugula was a nice touch as well! It did get a bit messy at times while eating due to the sheer number of toppings.Service was quite pleasant and our waitress made sure to constantly refill our waters and check in with us. Will be back again to try some of their other dishes!

Had a wonderful dinner at this cozy Italian spot! The Lambrusco was delightful, the pasta was fantastic, and the truffle honey on the burrata was a standout! Perfect place for a leisurely meal before heading to the ballet- highly recommend for a pre performance dinner!

My daughter and I were excited for our night out to see Hamilton at the Orpheum Theatre and had already chosen a restaurant based on its great reviews. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we found it closed with just a note on the door. Disappointed but undeterred, we decided to keep walking and find another spot that caught our eye.We were thrilled to discover Doppio Zero, drawn in by the menu posted outside that helped us make a quick, informed decision. What a gem! We were warmly welcomed and seated right away. Their drink menu featured some creative cocktails that we couldn't wait to try--and they did not disappoint. My daughter opted for the vegan ravioli, which she said were among the best she's ever had. I chose the Carciofi Fritti (crispy artichokes) from the small plates menu along with the Little Gem salad, making for a perfectly light and satisfying meal.Though the restaurant was bustling and the tables were quite close together, it still felt cozy and intimate, like we were in our own little world. I especially enjoyed my seat with a view of the intersection, which made for some great people-watching. The service was outstanding from start to finish.I'd happily eat here again and am excited to know there are other locations closer to home!

I came for happy hour (just in time!) and got the arugula salad and the calamari/shrimp app from the HH menu! I also got the lasagna and tiramisu! The arugula salad was pretty good, great portion, and the dressing had a subtle sweetness to it, that I really liked! The calamari/shrimp app was ok, however I prefer my calamari to be a bit crispier. I did like the salt and pepper it was seasoned with, and it felt on the lighter side. The lasagna comes in a skillet, so it stays nice and warm. Portion is really good and it was pretty darn good! I got the tiramisu to go, (honestly I'm not a big fan of tiramisu-but wanted something sweet, but still lite) and I thought it was pretty good! I def have a belly ache, since I ate too much-so kudos to the chef!!lol
