Lacking flavor The tacos looked great but tasted bland. Needed more seasoning and spice. The salsa helped a bit but not enough. Probably wont be back

This place is really, really good. Usually I don't eat the beans and rice at places (because nothing beats homemade) but I was pleasantly surprised here. The rice is moist and flavorful, the beans tender. Their crunchy potato tacos and great. I've had delicious tortas, tacos, burritos and agua frescas here. The meat selection is great and tasty. This has been take out only so I'm sure it's even better eating in.

I've been coming to Dona Maria for around 10 years now and they have never changed! They still have all my favorites, one of them is Super CRISPY SHREDDED CHICKEN TACO!! It's juicy but crunchy and of course everything else is delicious too. The salad and sauces are hot but filled with fresh flavor and the wet burritos are big enough to split with a friend. THE BEST little spot ever! Staff is always quick and sweet. The soup is also a must, hot or cold weather- doesn't matter. I'd share a pic but I always forget once I start eating. Go go go!

This is my go to fast Mexican food since it's around the corner from where I live. We usually pick it up to go but on occasion we dine in. The service is a tad slow since they also have to man the front cashier and a lot of folks order for take out. Our go to orders are super burritos. Carne asada or shredded chicken. I love that they put in sliced avocado instead of quac. We have also ordered crispy and hard shelled tacos which are delicious. The fajitas are also a great option. The ambiance is definitely a fast food vibe so don't expect a fancy sit down restaurant. But it is nice that if you do choose to dine in they wait on you.

Best crispy tacos in the South Bay. Clean friendly family owned type hole in the wall. Fast friendly service. Dining room is always clean and not overcrowded. The shredded beef is heavenly. Best post surf meal you can get. Skip Taqueria Vallarta if you can wait ... it's 100% worth it.

My father and his partner in crime introduced me to Dona Maria 10 years ago because of the Chili Rellenos. Fast forward to this week after frequenting this establishment with my buddy, I am still impressed. The Chili Colorado and Chili Verde are fantastic, Chili Rellenos are great , and the burritos are always huge and packed. The waitress that served us was friendly, had a good sense of humor, and recommended a couple of items she liked. A+ on the service we got especially because it was lunch hour.The restaurant itself is small but there are enough tables inside to satisfy a small crowd if you want to eat there or get your food to go. Either wayPro tip: The parking lot is very small and shared by a couple of other businesses so parking is scarce at peak hours. Street parking on Bascom Avenue is generally available with a small walk. (Worth it)

And she does it again!! Doña María FTW! One of San Jose's best hidden gems!! Today I ventured out and ordered something new: crispy tacos...instead of my go-to...and it did not disappoint. Absolutely incredible!!

Good flavor. I ordered the grande quesadilla with carne asada. I'm used to other Mexican restaurants that load the quesadilla with pico de gallo and sour cream. Theirs is only the meat and cheese. Everything is extra and they only sell their condiments in 2 oz containers. When it comes to friendliness, I can't say I was pleased there either. Ambiance, just your typical sit down spot. You order at the counter and sit or take it to go.

I haven't had good Mexican food in a long while this was amazing. I'll definitely return and recommended.

Horrible customer service. They put cheese and sour cream all over my takeout order. I specifically asked for no cheese or sour cream. This has happened many times before. When i called to complain the woman answering the phone was rude and unapologetic. She blamed us ! Made no sense. I will never return to this restaurant
