Ding Tea

The only Ding Tea in the Bay Area! This is a fairly new location, the owner is super down to earth, and the shop is def giving off a DTSJ vibe, perfect for the San Jose State College students! Service is quick too!The tea here is super tasty and prices are average!!

Got a fruit tea with 30% sugar, but it seems that the syrup used is very sweet and the drink was overall way too sweet. Probably high sweet content used since it's near the SJSU campus and college kids are used to higher sweet concentrations. The cool thing is that there is a instant ramen bar located inside where you can choose your own instant ramen from a huge selection. Looks really cool and would be fun to eat there at times.

Winter Melon Milk Tea is normally my go-to when I would order this at Southern California locations... but the one I got here was really watered down with the aftertaste of wintermelon :( I wouldn't recommend.A cool thing about this place is their ramen bar though! You can pick from their large selection of instant noodles and cook it in-store! Convenient and not terribly overpriced. You can also add items like eggs, cheese, etc.

I decided to try Ding Tea after they left Newark but guess what? There was nobody in the store at all. The door was open, it was during open hours, and there was no note or anything at the door but the entire store was just empty. Nobody was working. I knocked on the kitchen door, the bathroom was empty, the entire store was empty and nobody would take my order. I couldn't even call them because there's no phone number listed and nobody responds to their Instagram messages. Not only are they losing customers by having no one working, but people can just come in and steal all their stuff. Totally unsafe and not professional.

When I stepped inside, I had initially thought that someone had left the door open by accident considering how empty it was. The walls are a dark color, which did not help the somewhat somber atmosphere, but there were bright post it notes attached to the walls from previous customers that gave it a bit of life (It was also fun seeing what characters people drew and how many of them I could recognize). Once I approached the counter, the server finally emerged from a further section of the kitchen to take my order.I decided to get the Brown Sugar Milk Tea, considering the menu indicated that it was a popular item and it seemed like the most safe option out of the other popular items. The drink itself was pretty good, with a decent balance of sweetness, and I enjoyed drinking it the entire way through.I'm not entirely sure if I would return, as it's not the sort of drink that I would go out of my way to seek out. However, if this were a place that was just across the street from campus rather than a block or two away, I can see myself coming here more often.

BEST BOBA PLACE IN DOWNTOWN SJ! - Great hospitality - Tasty drinks- Super clean & tidy! Looks like busy hours are random due to the students at SJSU. Shoutout to Francis for always taking great care of me and my group! Plus, bonus points for the self served ramen! :D

My friends and I decided to get a drink here after walking a bunch at a nearby convention. There's only handful of seats but we manage to grab a table.I ordered a Jasmine green tea with apple flavored star fruit jelly. The jasmine tea is strong which is great for me. The jelly is also yummy but I thought it would be star shaped however it wasn't. The drinks were made quickly and the staff was friendly. I would come by again.

I love bubble tea, and I love Ding Tea! I was recently attending an event at the San Jose Convention Center, and Ding Tea was only a few blocks away, so naturally, I went several times during my stay in San Jose.First off, their tea is strong and flavorful, so you will have no issues tasting the tea through your milk. This is in contrast to some bubble tea places that essentially serve water with a faint taste of tea.Additionally, Ding Tea allows you to fully customize your bubble tea. You can even adjust the sweetness of your drink. This is a huge deal for me, because I like my drinks on the less-sweet side. In addition to the quality and customization, the service here is fast, and I never had to wait more than 5 minutes for my drink, even when there was a line at the counter.

The 5 stars is for their Great Wall of Ramen. Pick any pack off the shelf and get it served hot and ready-to-eat right there.It would be better to pay an extra $3.50 more to double up on the ramen when just one pack is not enough to last until dinner. Being able to supersize the bowl would make Ding Tea more competitive against the Birria Ramen or the Pho or the garlic noodles offered at the surrounding places nearby.

(I didn't get his name, but pretty sure it was the owner!) Super friendly service. They were in the middle of making boba and said it'd be another 15m so we ordered without. Drinks were ready right around the same time and he offered to add it in for us. Got a strawberry milk tea with lychee jelly (50/50) and it was good! Strawberry milk teas can be very hit or miss but this was a hit. Inside were a few small tables. The sticky notes around the place were a nice community touch.
