I needed a few things and this place was close to where I was already shopping in Sunnyvale. It is a South Asian grocery store.Went in for some vegetables, the stock is very limited and they had no bags to put the produce in and no one around to help.Went up to the counter to pay and there was no one there. Called for someone and a woman peeked out of the kitchen and went right back in!She came back a few minutes later and was having a conversation over the phone. She started ringing me up and then right in the middle of doing so, she walked away! Didn't come back for a few more minutes. Rang me up but they charge for using anything other than cash. Produce was very limited, as well as the other packaged items. It is a very small place. They also have a kitchen but but it was not busy on a weekday evening. There are plenty of other Indian stores withing a few minutes driving distance and I will not be back here.

My first experience of getting a few dishes were amazing. It really reminded me of home food. The second time around I didn't get the same taste unfortunately. I am happy to try again because the first time was really too good for me to forget. It's a grocery store + food pick up place (I don't think there is sit down service here but I may be wrong). The service was not too long but not super fast either. The grocery store has different types of fish and I enjoyed taking some Hilsa home. The quality was great - they also scaled it for me which was amazing. The ambience is tight and a lot of things fit into a small place but it's manageable.

Food is yumm. A take away place. Service is great!!! I love ruhu, ilish, Murg pulao, shutki with Baingan, etc.. nice supermarket where I can get most of my Bengali and Bihari items

The food is delicious and very authentically Bengali. The staff is also very kind and will offer to make you specific authentic Bengali dishes if there are things you want that are not on the menu if you ask and they have the supplies on hand. This is inside of a grocery store so there is no seating, only takeout. During Ramadan they also offer delicious Bengali iftar boxes. Would highly recommend getting the iftar box with pakora, boot, muri, fried eggplant, an aloo chop, and a date.

I ordered a chicken roast, butter chicken, and beef curry. Every item was almost inedibly sweet. The butter chicken and beef curry both didn't have the depth and umph I expect from Indian food. I said it prior, but the dishes were really sweet and I couldn't finish them all. On the plus side, the meats were cooked well. The chicken was slow cooked and had a shredded texture while the beef was pretty tender and not dry. Add less sugar and cook down the curry more and they got a star dish.

Not sure if this review will be filtered but I'm posting to inform that I bought an item on June 22 2020 (6/22/2020) and the expiration date on three item was September 18 2019 (9/18/2019). We are in the middle of a pandemic and the owner needs to realize to check his inventory instead of profits.I've attached a picture just so that this review is not disputed buy the owner saying this was a false review. The owner refunded the amount charged for the item when I called him back to inform what he's been selling in his store but as a customer I'd advice everybody shopping here to check the dates on their items. I've been shopping for regional grocery in this store for years even when they were at their old location at El Camino Real. Somehow the quality has gone down over the years.
