It's a food court restaurant inside 99Ranch Grocery Store. Service can be improved... ordering via standalone self serve tablet screen. Quite easy to do order & paid via CC. As for pickup, the two workers are always having their back turned from customers and facing cooking equipment. I suggest to them that they need a mirror or camera to view the store front so customers like me don't have to wait 5-10 minutes before picking up my to-go meal.Menu has many appetizing choices including special ones that costs about $10. Tonkatsu with curry sauce was my order. Surprisingly, very good. The crust on this pork chop is very crunchy without being heavy in batter. And the pork chop is moist & tasty! Tastes above its grade; more like restaurant food than food court food. At $15.50, it's a bargain! Of course, they can improve on some condiments like pickle cucumbers and some veggies, which are missing. It's a 4.5 stars experience. Will round it up to 5Will be back to try other dishes.

Demiya opened a new location in Fremont inside the 99 Ranch. It's located in their food court and has plenty of seating. I ordered the chicken katsu curry with +3 spicy and it took some time for my order to come out, but I didn't mind. The curry had good flavor and the chicken was nicely cooked. I wish it came with some more veggies or anything on the side without having to pay more to add extras.

Super happy demiya open in fremont, but is true that this isn't as good as the one in san jose.On one hand is expected as it is inside a ranch 99 food court, on the other hand the price isn't cheap either. They key difference I see is the katie is always a bit "darker", which mean either the oil use isn't as fresh or they over fried it.The food still tastes good. When I ask for the brown sauce for the katsu, the guy said they charge $1 extra, but he did gave it to me for free at the end.I would think katsu should come with brown sauce, even if it is a curry udon.I don't know does ranch 99 food court rent charges a lot or what, but I feel like some of these extra charges is a bit much for food court. After trying the brown sauce, I sorta get it, as it is not your run of the mill bulldog sauce, taste better and look made in house, I get it if it is extra if you want more, but at least come with a single portion.

Heard there was a new location out here so had to try it with some friends recently.Glad to see I wasn't disappointed. This location is located inside Ranch 99 on the left side. This is more of like a togo location ad there is very limited seating room if its a busy day. Luckily we lucked out and were able to get some seats behind where you order. Our order took a little extra than it normally would and the dude cooking recognized that by giving us an extra helping of Chicken Katsu which we graciously accepted. But yea overall this place taste just like the other locations. Happy to see that the quality of service is still 5 stars despite not being a traditional sit down location.

Came here for lunch with a friend. Ordered from the tablet. Would have liked to see more pictures uploaded to the tablet but referred to the pictures on the wall. There was counter seating and we were served water while we waited. The wait for our food was not long. The Pork Katsu Curry had 1 'patty' whole the chicken was served with 2 and both were juicy with a nice crisp. The Manchi Katsu was meh and would not order it again.

We got the curry udon with sunny side egg and chicken, and it was pretty good - the curry wasn't super salty, and the noodles were pretty nice and chewy. Our food was prepared really quickly, the staff were nice and polite, and there were plenty of open and tables in the food court. Good for a casual lunch/dinner.

Demiya opens where Kokolo Donburi was. Same counter. No decor. Change of name. Menu has only curry related eats now. Similar seating.Offerings: a la carte, noodles/rice, Teishaku (no curry), toppings, curry rice/udon, daria, onigiri..Ordered at counter. Pd. Food ready in 10ish min.Bites: Buta Shabu Curry Rice (thinly sliced pork, 15.50) pickles +1-similar taste to Tonkatsu without the breading & associated calories. Short grain rice & curry the same. -rice perfectly made, firm, fresh, warm, not sticky.-curry warm, semi-spicy curry-wise, no chiliness. -thin cooked pork just right, not overcooked, tender & moist. Just mix with rice & curry. yum!-pickles added a nice tanginess.4.5 stars leftovers traveled well.

The curry is good but the tonkatsu is noticeably worse compared to the other locations.

Im so happy Demiya opened up a location in Fremont. There was no decent Japanese curry spot in Fremont, it was mostly just a sushi joint Japanese curry, I had to make it myself everytime. In the middle of busy food court inside ranch 99, you cant miss it. I've tried most things on the menu, "except for udons", (i usually get rice dishes and add my own udons to the leftover sauce), all were great. If it's your first time, fet the basic Tonkotsu with maybe a side of potato croquette to dip in the curry. 10/10 would and have been recommending.

Went to Ranch 99 to do some groceries and needed a quick snack so I headed over to the food court & saw some onigiri, which my son loves, so I decided to try it out. I got the beef miso & unagi onigiri, along with a beef & potato croquette. The onigiri was unique and had some added garnishes on the rice. I thought it was ok, but my son preferred it to not have those extra garnishes, which I totally understand because it added an after taste to it. The croquettes on the other hand were freshly made and were yummy! However, they did charge $1 for a standard white bag as a "take out box" fee! We're big curry fans so i think I'll come back to give their curry bowls a try!
