Darda Express

Amazing flavors and portions well known by Darda. This little spin-off from the Milpitas location is a gem and we love to support small businesses. The service was fast and friendly, the food had delicious flavors, especially the hot and sour soup. Definitely our go-to spot for halal Chinese food

Previous Chinese places in this location have been primarily places to get a decent quick steam-table lunch. This one is less ideal for that purpose. The steam-table offerings are very few (rice & chow mein, 2 meat entrees, 2 veggie entrees) and the food is not very good.However! They also have a full cook-to-order menu, which you can also access online to order in advance, and the food made that way is, while not great, certainly pretty good. It's a little odd. The cumin lamb was more hot-spicy than cumin-flavored, and the meat was shredded, while the chicken in the kung pao appeared to be glazed. But as a neighborhood pickup, closer to me than other places I get takeout orders from, it was satisfactory enough that I'll use it again.They don't use those traditionally leaky cardboard boxes, but plastic clamshells for a generous quantity of food. And the order was ready right on time when I arrived. Comes with chopsticks and a little box filled with napkins.

I ordered online through their website but when I arrived they were unaware of any online orders. After arriving home with my food I found that one of my entrees wasn't what I had ordered. When I called to request to come back to get what I had ordered I was told that the chef substituted my dish because "what I had ordered would take too long to make while I was waiting" at the restaurant. A request for a refund for the incorrect dish was denied.Their cashier in training was kind and apologetic. The way the owner triple parked her Lexus in front of the restaurant indicated top down issues.

This neighborhood restaurant is convenient for take out orders. On my first visit at dinner time, service was nice and friendly. Food was prepared quickly. - Egg rolls were so good, crispy and not greasy.- Kung pao shrimp had a generous amount of shrimp and vegetables. Very fresh, savory and just right kick of spicy! Ordered a side of rice to go with it.Plenty of parking in the strip mall. Definitely will be back to try other items!

My family loves the thick sesame bread that the Milpitas location is known for. Too bad they don't offer it at this location. We got some chow mien and the noodles were too oily. A neighborhood Chinese restaurant which has potential, the front lady was nice.

Good food. Fresh ingredients. Portions are generous. Would recommend. Convenient location with plenty of parking.

Ordered the only tofu dish here. Horrible. The bean curd is extremely hard. Unable to chew. It is pretty badDo not order. Food here is salty.

Food is solid Chinese food! Got the shrimp fried rice and king pao chicken. Recommended for a nice American Chinese food!

My second visit to Darda Express did not disappoint. My mother just had dental surgery and wanted some won ton soup. Lucy the store owner, had it made for me. The soup was delicious. Just the right amount of savory tenderness that makes won ton soup so good. I will buy this again from Darda Express. Lucy goes the extra mile when taking care of her customers. She has a warm smile and gives a feeling of family that I would have never expected.This is the Mongolian beef (pictured) is fantastic. It has the correct blend of onion and spiciness that you expect from a correctly made dish of Mongolian Beef. The beef is tender and the onion is a bit crunchy while still buttery. This is another dish I will order again.Darda Express is a place worth visiting while in Sunnyvale, Ca. You won't be disappointed.
