Great Korean spot located in Danville with delicious food and super nice staff! Super glad to have tried this spot and definitely a place to come back to. It's located in a large plaza with plenty of parking. The restaurant decor is simple and straight forward with a small waiting area. The day we visited the restaurant was a bit understaffed with only one person working to take orders, bring out dishes, clean up tables, etc., so overall the service was slower than usual, but the staff was very nice and apologetic. He kept coming to make sure we were OK and apologizing for the wait, which our group understood completely and didn't mind. They even offered us extra snacks (mandu) and food (fried chicken) because of the wait, which we didn't expect but appreciated. We ordered seafood pancake, spicy BBQ pork, and galbi-jjim between a party of 3, and it was more than enough food for all of us. I really liked the seafood pancake which was crispy and flavorful, with a decent amount of seafood (vs. batter). The galbi-jjim was also very good, with the meat super tender and flavorful and the rice cake cooked to just the right texture. Overall, I had a great dining experience here and would definitely come back again!

A small spot in a large plaza with plenty of parking. It's a bit hidden so be on the lookout. There's a decent amount of seating with TVs.The service was ok. I came about 30 mins before they close for the afternoon and had to wait to be seated even though there was only one other table. Kimchi stew - 5/5 - very delicious and flavorful, the perfect amount of spice. The banchans were a good variety and delicious as well.

Fried chicken is delicious. There is appetizer version and entree version. Tried the pork belly bbq. It's grilled and you get 2 sauces. The meat is bland with dipping in sauce. Tofu soup is typical of Korean restaurants. Seafood pancake was best we've had. Very crispy, thick and good mix of ingredients inside.

One of the best yukgaejangs i've had in the bay. On the spicier side and the depth of flavor is so good. The restaurant was pretty busy and they deserve all the customers! My bf really enjoyed the banchan as well and we were very satisfied with our meals!!

Hands down the best Korean restaurant in the Tri-Valley! Met up with a buddy here for a meal recently. This is located where the old Fish on Fire restaurant was, just to the right of Fitness 19. The restaurant is comfortable, clean, and there's plenty of parking at the Town and Country shopping plaza. We both love kalbi so instead of family style with two different dishes we ended up ordering an order of kalbi for ourselves and shared the fried mandu. The banchan (Korean side dishes) were delicious and included kim chi, fish cake, sautéed spinach, bean sprouts, tofu, and spinach. When we asked for another set of chopsticks to use as a serving utensil, they brought out another set of banchan so we each had our own! The fried mandu was a good appetizer to share with 8 pieces. The two plates of kalbi came out piping hot and topped with sesame seeds and green onions. It came with 4 strips of kalbi cut into "12 bone sections". These were marinated perfectly with so much flavor! The service was great! Our waiter was friendly and kept checking on us to see if we needed refills on any side dishes or drinks.I also ordered a side of Japchae to go. The togo container is sealed with plastic, similar to how boba places seal the drinks. It also came with a set of banchan. Can't wait to go back for more kalbi and to try the fried chicken people are talking about on Yelp!

On our way back from Tahoe we detoured via 680 to avoid bad traffic. This puts you into the eastern burbs, which means you have access to safe parking and friendly people. Sometimes the food options are harder to find though! Let me help you! Daon is a cute little Korean restaurant tucked away in a charming old fashioned shopping complex in Danville. I don't frequent Danville but this is not too far off the freeway. The menu is easy, lots of options. Everything we ordered was made quickly. BANCHAN REFILLS. This is so awesome. Many places don't do this anymore. The server (super nice) kept offering it too! Refreshing not to be nickel and dimed. The food was really nice and the people working there were epically friendly. I will go back next time it's dinner or lunch time and I'm in Danville.

Updated review after 3 years:Although Daon is the closest Korean restaurant to us, it is not among our recent favorites. Our current favorites are Seoul Komtang in Pleasanton followed by Tofu House on Dublin. Our most recent dining experience was by Doordash, and the restaurant took like an hour for the food to arrive. The quality was just average, with some clear flaws:* White Tofu Soup with beef was just bland. White tofu is generally non-spicy, but it should still have some flavors like a savory broth. Seoul Komtang charges about the same and their version is well seasoned with lots of soft beef, zucchini, and silky soft tofu. * Bibimbap is the ultimate dish that combines proteins, veggies, carbs and yes dairy (fried egg with runny yolk. It tastes best when served in a sizzling hot bowl, which is impossible for takeout. Daon's version gives a good amount of veggies and I like how they separate the egg and rice for you to mix. The beef was a bit on the chewier side unfortunately,We'll probably stop using Doordash for Daon. When the craving for Korean food hits, we'll just trek down to Pleasanton for Seoul Komtang.

Nice texture of seafood pancake but noodle soup, i can smell something not really pleasant from the noodle. Tofu wt spinach banchan smelled very borderline between ok and spoiled. service; they should have gave us water bottle like typical other Korean resto, so then the server got busy we can barely get more water.Ambiance; I only heard and focused on Kpop music from the tv but my bf heard noice from the gym above the resto. It was overwhelming for him + the big party with kids in the resto so he felt sick. I know this's very subjective but jic you have a sensitive wt noises you might need to know.
