I came here a while ago back in December with my boyfriends sister. Grateful she took me to the spa around the corner where we got pampered. We both got hungry and I ended up picking Damso because of my high intensity of craving Korean Food.Lo and behold I made a good choice as she loves Korean food also! I'm so happy we chose here. Granted the wait took a bit long especially when we were waiting for our sodas, but the food did come out great. The bossam was so delicious and very delicate. Pair it with the cabbage and add samjang, garlic, and jalapeño, you won't be disappointed. The spicy raw crab was indeed spicy but it's the build up kind of spicy. Still sweet and thankfully still good enough to last until the next day. The assortment of Banchan was good too as our pallets didn't get bored. It's still a fairly new restaurant with good enough parking in the plaza where it's located. The interior is nice and has a calm feel to it. Also, the drink ware were the copper cups and it just tasted so good with the accompaniment with our meal. I'll be back again for sure.

Raw marinated crab. Came here with my sister and her bf and I was impressed. This restaurant came up in my search when my sister and her bf mentioned that they wanted to get korean food while in town. The restaurant is fairly large and they do not take reservations. It is known for their barley rice set which we did not get this time as my sis and her bf were doing keto. The restaurant seems to be very popular as there were a lot of people and families here. The staff are friendly and gave great recs. We got the raw marinated crab, the LA galbi and a seafood pancake (i forgot to take a pic of it!). This my first time trying raw marinated crab and it was delicious! the crab was refreshing and the marinated had the right amount of kick to it. The seafood pancake was tasty and had a nice crispy to it! The LA Galbi was juicy and flavorful. Overall, the meal was great and I would love to come back to try their barley rice set.

Upon entering it was a unique interior with beautiful cultural statements. I was quickly seated and given tea. From there we ordered the bossam, al tang, seafood pancake, and galbi. The bossam was super soft and packed with flavor. This was probably the star of the show for me as its tenderness made it unique from others I've tried. The Al tang was good as well! I really liked how thick and flavorful the soup was however I'm not a huge fan of fish intestine so the next time I'd order I'd see if they could do without the intestine. The seafood pancake was decent, wasn't the best I've had but it was good size and tasted good. Now for the galbi it was quite disappointing the meat quality. It was so chewy that it was so hard to bite down. I've eaten at many Korean spots in Santa Clara and this is one of the biggest let downs I've had. As this is such a staple dish and for the price I was expecting a better galbi quality. TLDR: The experience was nice and the bossam is a must try! I would not recommend the galbi.

I came with 2 friends on a Saturday night and were seated quickly. The interior design was aesthetic, clean, and had a great ambiance. The menu is meant to be family style with bigger portion dishes to share with people. We ordered:- Seafood pancake: crispy and paired well w the sauce- Bossam: this was my first time having bossam and it was so delicious. The meat was tender and the pickled vegetables mixed with the sauce was the perfect combination- Bulgogi mushroom jeongol: very homey and hit the spot. It came with a lot of bulgogiWhat I appreciated about the place was that all the food came out at the same time to enjoy! The customer service is top notch. They also gave plum juice and mochi as a dessert afterwards :)I'm already thinking about what I would want to order the next time I come back. Highly recommend this place!

I visited Damso during a weekend and it was a good experience. We were a party of 5 and they don't take reservations so we came early and got seated fairly quickly. They also have a parking lot so no need to worry about not finding a spot. This isn't your usual Korean bbq restaurant where you grill meet but they have lots of delicious options for you to choose from. I believe their marinated crab is what they are known for but unfortunately didn't have the chance to try it as I was pregnant when I went so I'll definitely need to come back.We got the seafood pancake, beef ribs, beef tartar, signature bossam and Budae Jjigae! Everything was solid and the flavors were good. It is a bit on the expensive end the f Korean food but it was delicious !

Came in on a Wednesday night and place was quite empty. Servers were attentive. Ordered the barley rice set (must order 2) and tbh, it was a lot already since they give you bulgogi and soup as well as the other side dishes you are supposed to mix with the barley rice. We primarily wanted to try the soy marinated raw crab, and that did not disappoint. They went above and beyond to mixing it and even serving it in the crab shell. Seriously so delicious. We also ordered the seafood pancake for appetizer, and that was great too. We had so much leftovers for a party of 2! Definitely left with full and happy tummies!

Came here with my dad last night and we were so surprised by how traditional the food was! By traditional I mean this is like old school Korean food, and it's delicious. My dad immediately was pleasantly surprised by the interior with the gigantic tubs of kimchi and the cute mini hanboks. The menu was really simple, nothing too crazy, but the barley rice set was really nicely organized and delicious. This is a kind of meal that you can't even find much around LA Ktown anymore, so it was really nice to see something like this in the bay! Pro tip: ask for sesame oil and gochujang on the side! makes the bibimbap more delicious! The service was also excellent, food came out at a good pace and we weren't rushed to finish our food or anything.

I came to Damso a few weeks ago and got seated pretty quickly on a Friday evening. I split beef tartare, seafood pancake, bossam, LA galbi and pumpkin soup with 3 friends. The food came out pretty quickly and had pretty generous portions. We got tea at the end to help with digestion (I'm forgetting the name of it), which was a nice touch. It can be expensive but food is definitely worth the price. Parking can be a little hard to find since Damso shares the parking lot with a few other businesses but it's still manageable.
