Cucina Venti Restaurant

Located on the outskirts and other side of Mountain View, close to Googleplex, Microsoft and right across the street from Shoreline Theatre lies this nice Italian inspired gem. It is merely about 2 miles from downtown Mountain View, adjacent 101 and towards the Shoreline Amphitheatre and Shoreline Park. So without a doubt a great location! So for me Italian food is my space given I have eaten it all my life since my paternal grandparents were direct from Puglia Italy. I always look for authenticity and ambiance when it comes to Italian food, and this for the most part did not let me down. Where it had me confused was a couple of items that were on the menu that are not necessarily Italian but Spanish, such as the Spanish octopus and the signature and national dish of Spain which is Paella. So honestly, this sort of confused me. I feel I can speak on this end too because my maternal side grandparents are from Spain. Now given Italian and Spanish food are not miles apart, however they sort of in some senses with their culinary influences, Spanish having more of a Moorish and Arabic twist on some things. Once I got over that I was fine. The service here is very nice, the ambiance is great as well as the food. I would most certainly say that be it lunch or dinner you will not be disappointed. Go in with the mindset that this is not, I repeat not a pizza establishment or inexpensive Italian American experience! Understand that this is a fine dining establishment. Best way I would categorize is high class Italian inspired cuisine on the SF Peninsula meets Silicon Valley. I am certain that it will leave you inspired and charmed. What would I recommend that you give a try? Truthfully it all depends on your palate and what you like, however what did catch our taste buds were the flatbread with sausage and honey, the Caesar salad, Fettuccine Carbonara and the Salmon. This was a great lunch! Next time you are in town or headed from San Jose or S Bay to SF make this your lunch or dinner stop! If you are headed to the South Bay from the San Francisco area, why not make a stop along the bay of the peninsula close to Googleplex and Shoreline and make Cucina Vitale your special place. I will mention that it is in a small strip mall area off Shoreline near the Starbucks on Shoreline and Pear."Buon Appetito" !

Cucina Venti is a Hidden Gem located in the Business district of Mountainview, Ca!The Wonderful Ambiance and the Personal and Professional Service of All those who make this Restaurant One of the Best Italian Restaurants in the Bay Area!! My Wife Manjuma recommended we go there for a Change from the usual more centrally located eateries we usually frequent and it turned out to be a Great Choice of My Wife and One of Our Most Memorable Evenings at the Cucina Venti!!The Food, Drinks, Desserts and Impeccable Service were "Five Star" and More! From the minute we sat down at our Table till we left, our Experience was Exhilarating and Fun!! Henry "Hank" Fabian who was serving our Table and John Taylor IV the Manager, Made it so Welcoming and Enjoyable which made the Ambiance so Wonderful!!Ask for Henry "Hank" next time you visit Cucina Venti!!We will Definitely be Back and Recommend all of our Friends and Business contacts to go and Visit this "Hidden Gem" in the Heart of Mountainview!Thank You Henry Fabian and John Taylor!!

Food, service and Ambiance was excellent and this is a hidden gem in Mountain View. It is fine dining Italian food with a wide range of wine selection. No kids allowed. We will definitely keep going back.

I came for a weekday lunch and made a reservation for 4 via OpenTable. The restaurant wasn't busy at all so I'm not sure a reservation was even needed. We all received a small 2" piece of (blueberry?) bread prior to receiving our entrees. I ordered the Harris Ranch Braised Short Ribs ($49) and it was fall apart in your mouth tender. I highly recommend this dish as all the flavors meshed very well. The portion is small for the price as I was still hungry after lunch. The restaurant was also freezing for some reason. Service was slow here during lunch. Our waters were filled throughout the course of our meal so that is a plus.The restaurant is tucked away in the corner and there are parking spots in the lot out front.

Ambiance - 5/5 really nice, upscale restaurant. Even the outdoor seating is really cozy with many heaters around to keep you warm. Perfect setting for romantic dinner for two or group. Service - 5/5. Fast, friendly courteous serviceFood - 4/5. We had the four course NYE dinner set. We had two cocktails to start off with. The Peach Please is really nice - fruity and not too sweet. The other cocktail light and stormy is pretty unique with the mixture of rum with lemongrass and mint. Just wished it was a little less sweet. I like their lobster bisque. The zucchini cakes and spinach strawberry salad was ok. My husband loves the Australian lamb chop, cooked perfectly in medium rare. For me I had their scallop black truffle risotto. The scallop was cooked to perfection, came with shaved black truffle which was good. That said I felt the risotto was a little too salty. For dessert we each had the tiramisu and choc temptation.

Bf surprised me with a special birthday dinner. Reservations were easy and available on a short notice. They even placed a little birthday placard on my table which made me feel so special. Our server was attentive and patient. He recommended the zucchini cakes and it was a delightful surprise. We loved them. Bf loved the fettuccine duck confit and I ordered the porcini mushroom ravioli. Every thing was delicious! We would have loved bread for the table earlier with dinner, which we got after our meals when someone noticed we didn't have any bread. Dinner isn't complete without drinks, which were really good! They kindly gave me a complimentary dessert. Overall, great and memorable experience! The bf def got brownie points for this special dinner.

Our first meal here and, hopefully not our last. The ambiance is so nice inside and out. I usually don't dine outside when it's chilly but with the warming stands and the sheltering area in back I loved it. We appreciated the professional wait staff and their careful attention to our needs. A perfect place to celebrate a special occasion, but many came dressed casually.

It had been a minute since we last dined here. From what we remember back then, it was a casual spot that offered good tasting food. Nowadays, Cucina Venti is more upscale and prices reflect this. However, the service and quality of their offerings has not changed. While the location (strip center) may be off-putting, you would not know it once you enter the restaurant. This will definitely be one of the places we will go when we want to treat ourselves. For us, it will not be a frequent dining spot because of the price of admission.

Service was excellent. We had to make it to a movie and was able to have a complete meal in under an hour without feeling too rushed. Great timing on the courses. Food and wine are pricy for the quality but solid. The best dish was the lamb chop, the bruschetta was pretty good but nothing special. Skip the ahi tuna appetizer - i didn't care for it. This place definitely has a very corporate feel even for a Friday night. Book early if you want to get a table inside for the winter and maybe call to make sure that they put you inside the dining room.
