Cracked & Battered - Potrero Hill

I've been going out to brunch more often this year and Cracked & Battered might be my favorite spot I've been to. You order with your phone through a QR code (or you can go to the website specified) -- and the same QR code is where you'll find the menu (with photos!). There's indoor and outdoor seating available. I ordered the C&B plate and my friend ordered the Fried Chicken Benedict. Once we placed our order, it took about 15 minutes for the food to come out. Both items were plated so aesthetically and looked very appetizing. Luckily, the food did taste as good as it looked. My friend and I ended up splitting our food and my favorite thing was the fried chicken Benedict. The fried chicken on the biscuit was delicious and the egg was poached perfectly. I do wish the biscuit was a bit more sturdy(?), it kind of just got mushed together with the chicken and I couldn't really taste it or identify its texture. With that said, I think all benedicts I've had previously had mushy english muffins on the bottom, so at least the biscuit wasn't soggy. My friend also really enjoyed the mini waffles part of the C&B plate, however did note the scrambled eggs were a bit dry. Overall, I had an amazing time here and the food was top tier, I would definitely recommend my friends to visit and hopefully will get to try their Marina location in the future!

Amazing place to go for food and service. We have been coming here YEARS, even though we moved to Tracy CA... we make our way here every time for the food and the employees. Today was my birthday and wanted to spend it at the best place to be and eat. The owners and entire staff went above and beyond for me. I don't have a family so they truly stepped up and was mine while being here. Blessed and thankful. YOU MUST EAT HERE! If you haven't you are MISSING OUT!

Excellent, excellent, excellent!Came here after my in laws tried the restaurant and enjoyed it over the holidays. I came with 3 other people on the Saturday of all star weekend. Originally we were quoted a 30 minute wait but it felt much shorter. It was a nice day and we were able to sit at one of the outside tables. It's on an incline so the height of the seats provided were a bit off but not super dramatically. It's super easy to order thru the QR code that takes you to their toast tab site. I ordered the chicken and waffles. Both of those items were so good. The waffle had the perfect, fluffy texture and amazing flavor. I appreciated that it wasn't too sweet and that I could taste the dash of salt in the batter. There's plenty of butter. Syrup comes out in a little saucer thing but you can ask for more. The chicken was seasoned and cooked wonderfully. It was super juicy too - it literally gushed out some fluid when I first cut into it. My dad, who is a big breakfast person, rated this as one of the best breakfast restaurants he's ever been to. Service was outstanding. Everyone is so friendly and makes you feel welcomed and cared for.

If you're considering the waffles--skip them. They were soft, soggy, and the strawberries weren't fresh. The chicken, however, was well-seasoned; while the skin wasn't crispy, it was still flavorful. The potatoes had a nice taste and were semi-crispy. Unfortunately, the eggs were bland, dry, and overall disappointing.

This small and cozy restaurant has great food! Cracked and battered was recommended to me by my friend who lives in SF. When we arrive there, there was a line and that alone will tell you they must have good food! The resto don't take reservations and that is understandable but also the reason why I cant give 5 stars. We ordered 2 of their bestsellers: the breakfast sandwich and the chicken and waffles! My husband was so impressed with the breakfast sandwich and I can't Agree enough because it was sooo good! The eggs were fluffy and the bun was sooo good but not soggy! My chicken and waffles hit the spot! The chicken was battered enough and not too much. The waffle's on the crispy side but still good. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. We will definitely recommend this place!

Solid brunch! I loved the c&b plate because I always have trouble with choosing between sweet or savory and I got the best of both world. Not a long wait (less than 10mins) on a Saturday which was pretty crazy. Waiters were very attentive and the space had cozy homey vibes.

If you're a breakfast lover like me, this place is a must-visit! I stopped by one morning, craving a hearty meal, and was greeted by a long line of eager diners. It's easy to see why--this spot is totally worth the wait!I kept it simple and ordered the chicken and waffles, and wow, it did not disappoint. The chicken was incredibly fresh and juicy, with just the right amount of crispy, flavorful batter. The waffles were perfectly soft, complemented by rich, tasty butter and syrup. The balance of savory and sweet made every bite a delightful experience.

I'm not really a breakfast type of gal but the food here was so good would come back. The eggs Benedict was sooo good and ask for extra crispy for the potatoes and they really crisped it up! I love it. And their breakfast burrito was pretty good too. Not much of a wait on a Sunday afternoon goes by fast

Been wanting to try this place for a while. Was hanging out with an old friend who wanted some brunch. So I told him about this place. We were so happy to go. The vibe was chill: they had 80s music on. I ordered the C&B plate. That was so good! The 4 mini waffle were sweet and tender. The toppings of whipped cream, sliced strawberries, and powdered sugar elevated it to decadent. My over medium eggs were done perfectly. The chicken was juicy, with a very nice spicy kick. My friend got the Nasi Goreng. That was also delicious. Same juicy chicken, with an awesome scoop of fried rice. The servers were also very friendly and quick. This is definitely a great place for brunch!

The boyfriend requested fried chicken for his birthday brunch, and Cracked & Battered was exactly what we wanted! We found free street parking pretty easily on a Saturday morning and were seated immediately in their parklet, which worked out because indoor seating seemed a bit warm, loud, and crowded. I scanned a QR code to order and pay. Everything hit so hard! The C&B Plate was the perfect sampler with juicy fried chicken, four fluffy mini waffles with fresh strawberries, crispy home fries, and two eggs. Their tasty homemade hot sauce was a little sweet like Sriracha and peppery like sambal and paired great with the potatoes. The fried chicken eggs Benedict with buttermilk biscuits was so flavorful with the tangy Hollandaise and a second sauce. I'd highly recommend and can't wait to come back!
