Average hospital cafe, with indoor and outdoor seating. This cafe serves Starbucks vs Peet's coffee if that's your cup of Joe! You will find this mid way outside 3/4 way down courtyard.Breakfast wise what you would expect in terms of hot food: hot potatoes, etc bagels, cream of wheat, fruit, pastries, chips, yogurts, juice, etc. pretty much same menu as cafeteria except Starbucks coffeePricing for food is fair under $3 for sides. Staff is unresponsive may just be too early for them, not fully awake.3 stars

No one (or almost no one) goes here by they're own choice. As the "second guest" of a patient I didn't get any official hospital food. To prevent to much time away I decided to pick up lunch at the cafe.Obviously my expectations where very low, so I was even surprised (a bit). The staff is very friendly and the selection was beyond what I expected. There where two types of rice (white and red) multiple vegetables and meat dishes. The chicken cordon bleue was good enough. The salad selection was also decent. The food itself had less salt than I'm used to. Maybe I should adjust my habits ;-)If you're forced to "enjoy" multiple meals at Kaiser I hope you'll get better soon and give you a piece of advice I got from the nurses: DoorDash delivers at Kaiser ;-)

Cafe in the Kaiser hospital. They have Starbucks coffee and the flavors/roasts alternate during the week? Coffee of the day, I forgot what it was during my visit but you self pour it through a pumper.Nothing remarkable about the place, it is just a hospital cafe. I paid 7 bucks for a bottled Naked juice and a latte. WHY did I do that lol. Obviously prices are high, I can't speak for the meals though as I wasn't hungry. They did have eggs, sausages, yogurt etc.

I dropped my rating due to the cashier "catching me" dispensing a refill on coffee from the self-serve. It was alarming. I'd been a customer for five years and never knew there weren't free refills on coffee! She called out to me to stop, or else I'd have to pay. Ridiculous! If that's the case, the coffee shouldn't be self-serve. We're already paying full price to have to get it ourselves, and then we can't fill up before returning to the cancer ward? That's just shitty.

2 stars for the big selection but 0 for the clam chowder I tried. I was stuck at the hospital for hours, waiting for my brother to get discharged from surgery and I was starving with no cash for the looked-so-delicious food at the farmer's market right outside. So I decided to find the cafeteria for some grub. Wanted something light so I grabbed a small clam chowder. For $2.09, I actually got the medium size. Maybe when they say small, it means medium. Not bad! But what was bad, was the taste and quality of the soup. It was possibly the 2nd worst clam chowder I've ever tasted. It had no flavor what-so-ever and it had bread chunks in it. Ew! The bread in it was super soggy and made the chowder even worse than it already was. The oyster and salad crackers saved me, adding some salt for flavor. Ugh..There was a really big selection though. Prices didn't seem bad to me. They have pre-made sandwiches and packaged sushi rolls in the fridge. They brew Starbucks and also have a ton of drinks to choose from in the fridge. Free fun sized M&M's in a jar was the best part.

Two stars for serving Starbucks in a hospital cafe. I didn't try anything else here because the sandwich meat looked old & hardened. Other than a few granola bars, there weren't any other snacks. I wasn't impressed with their selection. I do like the seating area but I'm not sure of electrical outlets. I didn't see any. They serve starbucks but don't offer the rewards program nor do they redeem them. Not a bad place for a quick drink though.

Worst latte in my life!!! Will ask to redo the coffee and see if they can make it any better (if they'll agree to redo it).UPDATE: They redone the latte no questions asked. The second one is much better! Adding +2 stars. But they still do not serve coffee in mugs therefore max 3 stars.

Prices here are pretty exorbitant and they nickel and dime you every step of the way. I found myself here because I accompanied my mom for a routine test and had some time on my hands. They seem to have a decent variety of healthy food options from a well stocked salad bar to hot items and sandwiches. I opted to get an apple and a small strawberry smoothie it set me back $5.91, ouch! My smoothie was delicious and the girl who made it could not have been more sweet, the apple was an apple no more and no less. They have free wifi here always appreciated. However things took a sour turn at the register when I saw that they had a sign letting customers know that prices will be increased due to the new sales tax hike, they no longer accept credit cards, and ATM cards carry a mandatory $0.50 processing fee. Seriously?!?
