My boyfriend, an SJ native and son of Mexican immigrants, claims Con Sabor A Mexico to be his favorite / the best quesabirria in the Bay. Visiting has been on our list for literally one year, just never ended up in SJ when the shop was open. Finally, we found ourselves hangry and tired in SJ recently, so we made our way over. The "restaurant" space is very rudimentary -- expect to see a taco truck plus a few more stationary outposts (for storage? I'm unsure), plus tents with plenty of tables underneath for patrons. I would definitely call this fast casual, and definitely opposite of romantic, unless your first date/anniversary has something to do with delicious tacos.Order from a kiosk and then wait for your name to be called. Be sure to grab extra napkins, there's no way anyone can get out of eating this without juice dripping down your hands. The tacos were absolutely overflowing with ingredients and the consomme was 12/10, definitely the best I've had (with close seconds not far behind), and it was *not* heavy on the cinnamon, which seems to be others' downfall. I was stuffed after two tacos. Our meal was definitely delicious, and if I lived in the South Bay, I'd definitely frequent more regularly, but I'm 0% sad I don't live in SJ and just as happy to keep exploring options in the City (or just go back to my tried & true Tacos El Patron)

The itself is really nice, great outdoor tables and area to hang out and relax. But I have had better food wise. We got tacos-carne asada and 2 birria tacos. The tacos only come with the meat, and compared to other places I've gotten everything on top for the same price. The overall meat taste is good, juicy and flavorful. I just wish for the price more was included in the food because it didn't hit that' "wow" factor for me. Service is good. If you're ok with just the meat inside the food, then try it out. Otherwise I would suggest finding another spot if there's an option

This spot nestled in San Jose is truly a hidden gem, and is recognized for its birria ramen, which is so good. You can get traditional quesabirria or the ramen, both are really good. I'd love to come back and try more of their menu here.

The food was better than I expected. This was recommended by a random person who was listening to my husband and me talk about craving carne asada fries. We parked on the street and the food pick up is from the taco truck but you order on a kiosk outside. I recommend don't come here wanting your food right away. There were only two people making the food so minimal service. They had different drinks but I didn't get any. I just wanted fries and a birria taco. Lastly, the music is loud when it is on.

Their Berria tacos used to be Hella good but now it's different. Everything here is different. The food doesn't taste the same anymore use to have so much flavor but now it's really plain , including the drinks they add something to it , it use to taste so fresh with real actual fruits now the watermelon drink is so red and it taste like they added Red 40 in their drinks .

Saturday night service took over an hour to receive my food. Birra Tacos had no cheese and the Birra soup taste watery as well as the hot sauce will not be going back here. The food taste pure like watery. Not good tacos save your money and time .

Great outdoor dining. Order your food on a kiosk and it's prepared in a food truck. It's quite tasty! Only issue is the restroom is a portable potty and depending on what you order, it can take a while to get your food. Overall, would come back.

I came and try Con Sabor a México with my coworkers. I'm giving this place 3 stars because when we came no one greeted us or help us. We needed to approach the lady and ask her for help. The food was good, we all order Taco Birria. I just think that it will help the business with a kind and better Customer Service.

Im so disappointed, this place was so good before. This last visit, I'm not sure if they changed cooks or what happened. The birria was soooo bland just tasted like unseasoned cooked meat and for the price not worth it and you can't even go back and get a refund, they have a sign

Went to try the quesabirria tacos and ended up with not only that but also the nutria ramen and short rib tacos which ended up being my favorite. Highly recommend! Bring a jacket since it is only outdoor seating. I am so glad I brought Tupperware for our leftovers!
